It’s unbelievable how excellent this place is. Irine is such an artist. She knows what she’s doing. She comes from a very well educated background. I did a smooth out treatment for my hair, and I’ve never seen it so NATURALLY good. I would recommend anyone to go there. You are in SAFE hands. I love the whole team. They are very generous, welcoming, and polite. I’m so thankful for such experience. She is the best hair stylist I’ve ever met in my life. I’m not exaggerating. I mean it.

Irene is the best hair dresser. I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and can’t go anywhere else. Her knowledge when it comes to the hair and scalp is beyond any typical hair dresser. She understands the biology and science behind every detail she tells you. I’d recommend Jade Design Studio to everyone.

Thanks Irene for my awesome haircut & color. I am loving this shade of red. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great stylist to go and see her. I was very undecided on what shade of red to go with and finally just told Irene to do a red that she thought would suit me and she nailed it. I am a very happy customer. Will definitely be taking my daughter in soon for a trim and hair treatment.

Could not recommend this place more. I was killing some time since my girlfriend was going to the doctor. I asked if they had any available spots and they called someone in just for me! Jo was amazing she knew exactly what I wanted and explained that some of the things I wanted wouldn’t work with my hair because of how my hair lays on my head naturally. All in all amazing experience and would go again!

This is my first Unilocal review — I signed up just so I could share how wonderful I think Irene is! I’ve been getting haircuts from Irene for about 6 years now and I’ve never had a bad cut.
Plus, her cuts last a really long time, so sometimes I feel like pampering myself and going to get my haircut, but my hair still looks great months after it has been cut! Getting my hair cut by Irene has definitely saved me money that way.
Irene is great not only at cutting hair, but also at giving consults and finding cuts that look good for your face shape and preferences. I like really easy to manage cuts where I can just shower and go and while keeping this in mind, Irene always makes my hair look great. I’ve tried some new styles thanks to her and loved them all.
It takes me a long time to trust a hair stylist but now I just go in and give Irene a few preferences (nothing that will get in my eyes, wash and go), ask Irene what she thinks would look good on me, get suggestions from her and then get it cut. Last year I got my first asymmetrical cut and I ended up liking it so much that I got another one the next time I went in.
Oh, and last year I moved to the Bay Area but I visit LA a few times a year so I just wait to get my hair cut at Irene’s. She is THAT good that it’s worth the wait. The last time I was there she was setting up an appointment with another client who moved to the midwest and still gets his haircut by Irene when he visits LA.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a really good, trustworthy, talented hairstylist that will work with you on your preferences and also does haircuts that last a long time, Irene is your woman. Jade Design Studio will change your life!!! First off, IRENE and SUE are phenomenal. The reviews of Irene are definitely on point.
Since I was due for a haircut and had a bad experience with my previous salon. I searched through Unilocal for men’s salon/​stylist close to my area with high ratings. I gave Jade studio a shot. It was an amazing experience and highly recommend this salon. I made an appointment with Irene and came out feeling like a million bucks. They were very welcoming, comforting and definitely made me feel like home. When there’s no parking on the street, they have parking slots for you in the rear garage. Just call the studio if you can’t find parking and someone will come out to guide you. Big plus! Very affordable and only Paul Mitchell products used.
Irene is a very high caliber stylist and has many years of professional experience. I came in, showed Irene couple of pictures of what hairstyle I was going for and she delivered it picture perfect. Plus hair massage and shoulder massage. She is very detailed and passionate about her work. She also gives you a 7 day grace period to come back, if you feel like you need more of your hair touched up.
Sue is also awesome! She’s Irene’s assistant. Sue will definitely accommodate you with your needs while your getting pampered. Strong coffee, water, snacks and as far as food. Lol.
I referred my GF to this amazing salon and she made an appointment the next day. I went there with my GF while I had a hangover and they were quick to make me feel at home. They offered me bowl of noodles and endless coffee to get through the day. I definitely felt like they were family. Try this salon you will not regret it!!! Jade studio is now my new go to salon. I had a cut and color correction last night with Jo and Irene. They stayed extra late for me and fixed my crazy hair that had like orange spots. They also gave me a FABULOUS new hair cut. I took ten inches off. They are AMAZING!!! They are so knowledgeable and do such an amazing job. I will never get my hair done anywhere else. They are the BEST!

Jo is simply Awesome! She takes her time when doing your hair and does it wonderfully. Everyone there is super nice and eager to help you. They recommend different products and explain how to use them. (Best of all FREE SAMPLES!!!) Each hairdresser there is eager to help out and make your experience the best it possibly can be. One of the best hair salons ever!

Irene is simply the best. Coming from Miami, I was mildly concerned about switching hair stylists but I knew I made a great choice from my first cut with Irene. Unlike other salons in LA charging outrageous rates, Jade Designs offers fair rates. There isn’t a better salon in Santa Monica than Jade Designs and Irene.

This is the only place he will get his hair cut, Irene and the crew is the best. They treat him like the king.

This is an AMAZING salon. I came to Irene with a horrible extension job and Irene was not only able fix it but made it perfect! The work she did was phenomenal. Beside extensions, her color work and cutting are 5 star. The professional consultation you receive before each service is thorough and provides great tips on how to recreate the style you leave with too. Her and the staff are warm and inviting! You feel among friends while getting beautified. I could go on and on about how amazing this salon is but go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

I am a constant user of Unilocal.However, I rarely write reviews, but I must write a review for this salon from the positive experience I had. I came here for a color correction.
First off, had made a mistake being cheap by going to a beauty school. What I wanted was an ashy blonde ombrè. I had showed the student and teacher a picture of the color I wanted. After they were done, I ended up with an orange/​copper color, not what I asked for.
After I a month of having the color that drove me crazy every time I looked in the mirror, I went to another stylist, she told me that she can fix my color and that it was simple. I know she really tried, but I still had the copper tone I so disliked. Addition, my hair was fried and damaged from all the chemical.
I had started to lose hope for getting the hair color I want. One of my girlfriends referred me to Irene for the color correction. Irene was straight up front with me and told me all the steps she would have to take and also we talked about the budget before she executed the process. I liked that she was very clear on every level so that there was no surprises at the end.
Overall, I was at the salon for many hours. Irene and staff were very welcoming and patient with me. They made the hours go by painlessly. In the end, I got my happy ending, the color I had asked for and wanted! Not going anywhere else ever again!

I have been going to my hairstylist, Joanna, since I found her three years ago. I even followed her from another salon to Jade. I know she has other clients who have followed her for longer and from longer distances! I think that says a lot about her dedication and service. She is always very gracious and happy to see me. In terms of the haircut, Joanna is detail oriented and always cuts my hair to avoid cowlicks and other imperfections. Every four weeks, I put my head in her hands and she never disappoints.
I am happy she jumped to Jade too. It is a great location on 7^th street where it is usually easier to find parking up there. The staff are all friendly and the owner is a small business owner who is really invested in making Jade a success.

It was finally time for my 13 month old son to get his first haircut… Irene was amazing as usually. My son did not cry and Irene has great skill working with even kids! It was a great experience for us, we were able to get a hair cut and enjoy dinner by the beach. You would think this salon will only cater to adults but no, this salon is great for children’s hair cuts too! We were even sent home with a keepsake of his hair. Love love love!

Irene was so great. Amazingly, I was able to get a same day appointment. She was flexible and helpful.
I wanted highlights. She encouraged me to find a photo on the iPad, and then explained the process, the color, and the price so that I would understand everything ahead of time.
She doesn’t just throw bleach on your head. She determines where you have previous color or regrowth to make sure your new color comes out even.
Her salon was comfortable and she was so friendly and down to earth. She even offered me food and drink.
She was not pushy and my hair turned out great!

I have so much compliments I don’t know where to start!!!

The staff is wonderful and so very skilled. The owner Irene (and lead stylist) is incredibly sweet, truly caring, very knowledgeable and always offers a guarantee that you will leave there satisfied. Call anytime and Irene will work you in. She has literally cut my hair at 10pm. This studio is her life and livelihood and makes you feel like a new person when you are through.
