John is the best! I’ve been with him for years and can tell you from experience, he’s fantastic. Quick & really talented — I’ve steered everyone I know to him (men and women). Be sure to call in advance to book — he’s got a lot of customers (many from the entertainment biz, too).

I can honestly tell you that John is the very best – he is personable, kind, affordable, and talented beyond belief. Around 2003, I moved into the apartment building above John@1422. Since then, I’ve moved away from Santa Monica to Culver City and Westwood. For the sake of convenience, I have tried other salons, but nothing ever compares to John. You often have to book a haircut months in advance, but the quality of experience is so superior that you won’t mind planning your visit. After John finishes your cut, just sit down at his calendar and schedule your next visit while you’re there – it’s EASY!
