Lena Dicken, PsyD

Lena is a wonderful therapist. She is supportive and very insightful on any topic that I brought to our sessions. I find her trustworthy, warm and I consider myself lucky to have found her and experienced her professional presence. I regularly notice and think about all the ideas we have discussed, as well as the changes I witness in my life thanks to our hard work together. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a great therapist.

Its slightly difficult to write this review due to how strongly I feel about the work that Lena does. Ive been seeing Lena for approximately a year and a half and I’m perpetually amazed at how compassionate and insightful she is. Never before have I had such a forum for honesty and care. The work and effort Lena puts forward transcends a normal patient/​therapist relationship; I genuinely feel as if I have someone out there who has my back, and cares for my personal growth. Lena empowers me. Sometimes we laugh and joke about life. Most times she pushes me to express myself and explore the things that affect me. Occasionally she will offer to take a walk as we talk. Lena is incredibly insightful and helps me connect things in my life that I would have never been able to on my own. Moreover, she has given me the tools to continue to grow on my own. Having the momentum of seeing her last week, and the expectation of seeing her the next week perpetuates me becoming the person I want to be. She has show me that being confident does not mean being infallible, but rather realizing there are set backs, and triumphs, and everything in between. I cannot stress enough how valuable her sessions are to me. Simply put, I am better because of her.

Lena is a wonderful therapist. She is that perfect combination of awesome listener + action-​oriented coach. Every time I talk with her about work stress, anxiety, boy problems, body image issues — I come back feeling heard and with a sense of calm and fuller understanding of the issue at hand.
Lena is extremely professional, compassionate and committed to your growth. Can’t recommend her enough!
