This place is class act in the customer service department and their food is yummy too! My favorite was the Bayou fish taco — seriously sooooo good … And the guacamole was to die. Love Mondo Taco and will definitely be back!

Not a bad place for fusion tacos! Just a heads up this place isn’t authentic Mexican food(though they do have some classic tacos such as the carneato taco), it’s a mixture of various cultures on a taco. The Angry Chicken: I actually really liked this taco. The buffalo sauce was on point, but the blue cheese was a bit unnecessary. I think ranch would’ve been better than using the blue cheese, but otherwise I would order this again. It made me crave party wings afterwards that’s for sure haha The Hangover: Ordered this because I was attracted to the guacamole. Its main substance is the soyrizo, and overall this kind of tasted like a fancy Del Taco. Gave the rest to my boyfriend when I was full and he agreed it tasted like a fancy Del Taco as we The Southern Decadence: Probably my favorite out of the three that I ordered. The bacon bits were very thick, giving the taco with its southern influence some crunch and«comfort». Bf ordered the Crispy Fish, French Kiss, and… I actually forgot what else he ordered, but I really liked the blackened onions on the crispy fish! I know he really liked that one! The French Kiss was just overloaded with the dijon mustard sauce and so my bf and I didn’t like that one so much :/ Unilocal Check-in for a cookie! However, the cookie isn’t that great… but thanks for letting us give it a try! Would love to give this place a 3.5, but I’ll give this place a 4 since the guy at the cash register had such a great attitude and was informative.

I WOULDNOTFEEDTHISTOMYDOGS!!! This is the worst«Mexican» food out there. If I could give it 0 starts, I would. Tried this place due to the great Unilocal reviews. It was not only bland and boring– it was an insult to the Mexican culture. Seriosuly, that wasnt even Mexican food. This is not just a gringo food issue, its white people trying to add their special«twist» to suit to their pallete. Do yourself a favor and dont spend a penny on this over priced crap.

The tacos are good; I will not lie. Charging an extra half a dollar to forgo a homemade tortilla with a two triangle shaped cabbage slices should be a crime. I’m no cost accountant, but I’m certain that 25 square inches of cabbage is less expensive than a homemade tortilla. The other gluten free option is a gluten free tortilla which also carries a 50 cent surcharge. I think this is legitimate. Because economies of scale; and relatively expensive raw ingredients. 50 cents extra for cabbage? Get your wits about you, Mr. Mondo Taco. You’re punishing people for having dietary restrictions. Just plain greedy.

A+++ This spot is AMAZING for vegetarians & meat-eaters alike. Whether you’re ordering off a site like Postmates or dining in, the quality is A+ every. single. time. My favorite is the Tempeh Alex the Great in wrap form — it is mouth-burning spicy &SO flavorful! If you’re feeling extra daring, get the inferno sauce on the side to pour on top. The best part about Mondo, though? They have happy hour even on the weekends! That means you can go in with friends on a Saturday or Sunday evening, spin the wheel for 10−50% off your meal or a free dessert, and enjoy drink specials! Parking tip: If you go after 6pm, the meters are free since they only run during regular business hours.

My son and I love this place. It’s kinda hidden next to a place with a neon burger sign. My kid gets the new Yawker(essentially a corn dog) and the angry chicken taco which is fried chicken. I like the Carneato in a bowl with cabbage and rice. They make their own hot sauce which you can purchase for .50! The freaking sauce is my favorite. They have Agua Fresca, which watermelon is our favorite. The staff is so nice as well. They offer a happy hour wheel spin from 4 – 7 for dine in. You can get a chance to get 20 – 50 off your meal or free dessert! So glad I found this neighborhood gem.

This place was yummy! I tried the following tacos: –Angry Chicken –Bayou Fish –Fancy Fish –Hangover All tacos were delicious but my favorite was the Bayou Fish, it was fresh and flavorful! The hangover was my second favorite but I’m a sucker for soy chorizo YUM! They had a wide selection of beverages, I chose the watermelon water and I was not disappointed! :) The quac was fresh made and tasted authentic. I was overall impressed and especially blown away with dessert. I had the blueberry panna cotta. It came in a small cup but it was so decadent!!! Mondo Tacos also scored some extra brownie points for having cute décor and easy parking. There is a pay parking-lot in the back, however the first hour was free.

I am so happy I found out about this place. The angry chicken taco DINOSTYLE is my new favorite. Their guacamole is amazing as well. There are so many options, repeat visits are a must. Their house-made pannacotta with blueberry sauce is amazing! I’m already planning my next trip back!

Vibe: Quiet, great for lunch or fast dinner. Two small dining room and outdoor patio area. Food: Mostly everything is delicious! My favorite is the Car-Neato bowl(pulled pork, salsa verde, and cilantro). Goes great with a side of guacamole. Service: The owner is very amiable and fun to talk to. Food is always prepared well and come out quickly. Overall: This is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner, especially if you work/live in the area.

Okay this is my jam!!! The southern decadence has changed my life. No joke. I’m in love! It’s like tasting heaven. Also angry chicken is really good, but I get it with cheddar instead of blue cheese. But that’s up to you, I think it’s just better!

Beautiful, instagram-worthy tacos but that is about all that is great about this place. Their menu is huge with a lot of cool, exotic flavors yet none of them taste like what they are supposed to taste like. The Viet Yum taco literally comprised of 3 shrimps and some cabbage, drenched in oil, with no sauce or flavor. The other ones I had were pretty unmemorable as well. They are also expensive, some costing up to $ 5 which is overpriced for such small flavorless tacos. The agua frescas were bland and watered down. LA has a bunch of cheap and tasty taco joints, I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you’re a true taco enthusiast I don’t think this with satisfy you.

The server here was really nice and they definitely have some unique tacos! But there are so many great authentic tacos in LA I am not sure why you would seek this out. If you are nearby — the place seems to be an an office complex — it’s a great lunch. We were also tehre during happy hour — 4 — 7 pm I think — and got to spin the wheel. On it is free dessert, 20 percent off etc. The churros we got for free dessert were really good! Grilled fish taco was the best we got. Tempeh had no taste and I didn’ t love the flavor.

I really wanted to like this place because of the amazing Instagram photos but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. Tacos were expensive. Mostly $ 3 and above(some almost even $ 5!). The menu is extensive with lots of amazing sounding choices with different culinary influences from Vietnam, Thailand, etc. It’s not very often you can mess up fusion food but everything just tasted gimmicky! None of our tacos tasted like what it was suppose to taste like. Thailicious taco had an overbearing coconut flavor. The sauce was just all wrong and ruined the whole meal pretty much. My friend got the Viet Yum taco and it was literally swimming in oil. Plus she said it tasted nothing Vietnamese! Her agua fresca was also watered down(green crush spoiled us) Savior of the day was the Southern Decadence. It’s hard to go wrong with fried chicken and bacon. Guac and chips were good too. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Take your $ 5 to king taco for 3 bomb tacos instead.

This place had awesome service, attentive servers, and the guy who owns the place seems like a pretty cool guy; always interacting with his customers and checking up on them. I was craving grilled fish so i tried all three of them. My favorite was the fancy fish. Creamy sauces with a bit of spice. Great combination of flavors for all of them. U can tell they were well thought out and crafted. The menu was so extensive i would love to come back and try the veggie& shrimp tacos along with putting a selection in a wrap! The frescos are awesome also. Fresh and light. Definitely want to come by again.

It’s pretty decent fusion tacos. I think the variety of flavors make it pretty fun to eat. Most of the flavors I’ve tried were pretty decent. Don’t come here expecting Roy Choi quality fusion food, it’s a little lower than that. But, it’s still pretty nice. I’d recommend a lot of their fish tacos and NOT their chicken. Every time I’ve gotten their chicken, their consistency and texture just isn’t that great. I wouldn’t recommend their holy mole one. That one is my least favorite of all the tacos I’ve tried. Their mole just isn’t very tasty. and paired with their rice just doesn’t feel right.

not your usual tacos! They do unique tacos here. Fried chicken tacos, burger tacos, nacho tacos… bunch of different kinds! The service here is awesome as well. They have a super hot sauce that’ll kick so hard! It was late at night so it wasn’t busy but it made the experience better. The tacos were really good. I liked the carnitas one and the fried fish ones. I forgot the names but yum! Come try something different in a tortilla here.

I am not a taco fan and don’t usually seek out tacos but decided to try Mondo anyway. I got the angry chicken, beef eater and afrentina. The angry chicken was my favorite. While the beef eater and afrentina were good too, they were really, really oily. Will definitely be back to try some of the other tacos and churros!

つº oº つ RAISEYOURCUTLERY つº oº つ Mondo taco is awesome. Though I get the feeling that in a city(and part of the country, for that matter) that prides itself on authentic tacos and Mexican food in general, this spot might get a bad rap. It’s different, Mondo Taco’s goal is to create unique flavors from around the world, and I’d say they succeed greatly at it. I ordered the Holy Mole, the Southern Decadence, and Bayou Fish. Firstly, gigantic props to Mondo Taco for making their own tortillas. That makes such a big difference in the quality of the tacos, and when you’ve got a lot of sauces and unique toppings going on like they do, it matters. The tortilla was nice and thick, and held everything together perfectly. Of the three I ordered, I think the Bayou Fish was my favorite. The fish had a perfect sear on it, and the portion was right for the price. All of the sauces they used on the tacos were great, and everything was balanced well. What else can I say? Everything was delicious and presented with thought in mind. I even liked the interior décor, they managed to make a small space comfortable. You should give them your money. Leave your expectations at the door, and give ‘em a try. I think Mondo Taco is an awesome novelty, even though the flavors of the my local taco truck might be a stronger draw for my routine taco fix. — The Gourmand League

Very adventurous and international style tacos. I have been here a couple of times and have been fortunate to try out most of their tacos on the menu. Some tacos were delicious! Some were«try too hard». Overall though, I like the concept and flavors going on with most of the tacos. The watermelon and pineapple juices are a plus on a hot summer day. This place gets busy during lunch hour as it is located next to several corporate offices. They do have outside patio seating which also makes this place great. If you like spicy, I am sure you will find some of their tacos worth your while. I think 4 tacos would suffice for a party a date. It’s reasonably priced for the quality of tacos you get. I would definitely come back and try the rest of their unique menu!

Meh. I could take it or leave it. I think the tacos are pretty bland and not that great for the price. $ 3.50−4 for a taco? Come on. I don’t mind paying that for a taco if it was amazing. These, however, were not. I got the Beefeater — short rib with horseradish slaw. I got mine on the side. Just okay. Tender beef. Tokyo Shrimp — tempura shrimp with avocado and some kind of orange sauce on top. So plain. See pic. It was also just okay. Crazy Fish — breaded crispy fish with pico de gallo and some cream sauce. Also just okay. Totally Americanized version of tacos. Don’t expect anything«mondo» about it. I told the kid that was taking my order that this was my first time and didn’t know anything about this place… And he didn’t give me much info. Like… I didn’t know where the forks, napkins, bags were. I didn’t see them until I was walking out. And when I asked for salsa, he completely forgot about it the second he walked away. I had to flag him down again and he’s like«oops, my bad.» And they only have red or green… which the kid said«the red comes from red tomatoes and green comes from green tomatoes…» Um… Really? I got the red… And it was just blended tomatoes. No spice or herbs or anything to it. Maybe salt. I had to also ask for my water twice too. Come on… They weren’t busy. Probably wouldn’t come back when there are so many other taco joints around. I did get a free chocolate chip cookie with my Unilocal check in so there’s that. .
