If you are a fan of Mexican folk art this store is for you! It is all authentic stuff (not made in China), mostly sculpted and/or painted by hand. If you have been in Mexico and haggled down their prices, then had to cram your purchases into a suitcase which now weighed more than the airline allowed, this wonderful little store is for you! You’ll be surprised how reasonable their prices are. You’ll be delighted at the variety of the creative items.

Recently, I’ve seen this tiny, hole in the wall shop with a window filled with those wonderful Oaxacan wood sculptures. These are the extremely colorful traditional creations covered with LOTS & LOTS OF DOTS!!! So, I & my daughter went in the other week to check out the scene. This place is no doubt one of the finest purveyors of traditional art from any country I’ve ever encountered. This is not historical material, but material made right now throughout different regions of Mexico. Their specialty, of course, is Oaxacan, but, of course, you can get Dia De Los Muertos stuff up the ying-yang here, as well, as well as many other items. To top it off, the prices here are very reasonable. It would be VERY easy to begin a serious collection right here at this store! If you are going to TJ’s or McCabe’s Music down the street, this little jewel of a store is well worth your perusing! Hah! I got to review them FIRST!!!
