Short Answer: My overall opinion is that this company should be avoided. Machine failure issues and refusal to discount based on this fact. More Detail: I thought I saw these guys cleaning an apartment in Westwood Village, where I live. The van I saw looked clean and the operation looked legitimate. Well, either I didn’t actually see Rainbow Carpet Cleaning or they sent the B Team to my apartment. The van that showed up looked decrepit — it was falling apart and so dirty you could hardly tell it was once white. «Ok» I thought«Maybe they put the money into the equipment» Wrong! The engine that ran the carpet cleaning device from the van repeatedly faltered and stopped during the cleaning process. The nossel for the upholstery cleaning did not work and the workers had to use the bare suction end of the pipe. I was quoted $ 170 for a smallish one bedroom plus a 6 ft couch. When I called Ricardo to discuss a discount, he put me on hold for over 5 minutes and finally returned with a paltry $ 10 offset. As for the final results, the couch is still drying as I type this, but the carpet looks pretty good. However, I attribute that solely to the hard work of the gentleman who operated the equipment and had to put in an extra effort to make up for the faulty equipment. As such, I tipped them. As I said, I would avoid Rainbow Carpet Cleaning in the future.
