Did you ever go to a place where you felt like the stylist was rushed, and not really into you or you hair? Randal is the opposite.
Randal Jon is a great hairdresser who really listens to his clients and wants you to be happy with your color and/​or cut. I have been going to him for about a year and not only is one of the nicest people I have met, he does a fantastic job! He is in a small salon in the back of Planet Beauty, but don’t let that throw you, it’s a nice quiet clean space and I enjoy going there.

Ive been going to Randal since 1989 and no one does color like he does. Years ago I had gone to places closer to home and that just ended up being a mistake… now that Im back I would never go anywhere else. Randal is an amazing hairdresser as well as a great person to talk to. He’s a complete package when it comes to hairdressers… Id give him 10 stars!

Simply the best (and consistent) haircut i’ve ever received. My curly, thick blond hair is not easy to cut, and often times makes it hard for me to find someone who I feel comfortable give me a haircut. Randal takes genuine time and energy to talk with you and «map» out your hair to figure out the best look possible. Time and time again Randal has done just that. I’ve received countless complements on my hair every time I leave his salon. I would recommend no one else to cut your hair in the Los Angeles area. As you can tell I can’t praise him enough, Randal is the man!

Randal is a great stylist. I have been to many and not one has spent half the time working on my hair as Randal. He is truly not happy until you are happy with your hair. I’ve now been going to him for years and would not go anywhere else. I always recommend him to my family and friends because he consistently does an amazing job.

Randal Jon is a master stylist. I have been going to him for years, as no one else has come near his standards. He is not only an artist, but is also a genuinely gracious and caring person. He will give you an experience that you will want repeated again and again.

I have been looking for a new hair stylist for a couple of years now. The few I have found whose work I am satisfied with, are horribly expensive. I bought a coupon from «DealOn» for what I thought were a cut and highlights at Randal Jon. It turned out that I misread the coupon. One hundred percent my mistake. It was not tricky wording or any type of scam. I just misinterpreted what I read. When I went to pay him, he pointed out my error, and I was immediately prepared to pay him more money, because it was my error. He graciously declined to take the added fee, to which he certainly was entitled. In today’s world, how often does that happen? Try never. As well, I avoid highlights or any other hair coloring, because I GAG from the fumes. They really make me sick. I noticed at once that there was no noxious odor. He uses an Italian product that does not have ammonia. A real pleasure. After the highlights are applied, there’s no sitting under an intensely hot dryer while your stylist visits with the other stylists, or does other heads and forgets about you. He dries you right then and there, using his hand held. The cut was better than good, and he stuck with it until he got it just right. A lovely, low-​key experience, with a gracious person. If you are looking for a «disco hair salon», this is not the place for you. If you are a grownup looking for a grownup experience with an adult hair stylist, visit Randal Jon in Santa Monica. The parking scene is not just a lot of fun, but it’s okay enough. The prices are fair — not cheap, but not a three hundred dollat cut, either.

Thanks again for another great haircut! Randal really listens to what you want and together we ‘designed’ my ‘do so I can style it easily at home. My hair looks great with just some product and a little TLC with the comb, brushing from bottom to top. Really looks best just wash, spray and go! Amazing what a great stylist can create! I love my hair again!

Randall is the best. He consistently gives a fantastic cut and will always make sure you are happy. My wife and I have been using him for more than ten years and always recommend him. You will not be sorry.

Oh how I miss the best hairstylist I ever had, Randal Jon! It pained me to move away and leave the only person who ever gave me a consistently AMAZING cut every time. If I could fly cross-​country every month or two and get my hair styled, I would. I considered myself fortunate to have found him, and you will too.
