We love Taos Indian Trading! There is no better place for amazing jewelry and beautiful custom designed bracelets, rings, bolo ties and necklaces. We own several custom rings and bracelets from Taos Indian Trading. The owner is very knowledgable and friendly and we have always been treated extremely well here. This is our first stop if we are looking for a special gift.

A refined, condensed, classic Native American store. It’s Santa Fe New Mexico meets Beverly Hills. I don’t know how the guy keeps his front window so clean and how he makes his display with no footprints in the sand or any indication of dust dirt or human interference. This is the shop you go for incense, sage, dream catchers, turquoise and silver jewelry, arrow heads, leather, feathers, and all that Indian stuff. It’s block down the street from Thunderbolt Spiritual Books so you can visit both places in one shot and probably find what you need between the two. The gentleman that runs the shop locks the front door because he’s in back making or repairing jewelry so you have to press a bell to get in. It’s worth it. It smells good in there and makes you shiver with that real deal Native American vibe when you look around.

Who goes here? How the hell does it stay in business? Who would buy this stuff? Why in Santa Monica? I have never once in my life seen anybody in here, it gets two stars because of the figure in the window, but other than that, I don’t see anybody really interested in this place enough to spend money here. At least it doesn’t smell like some«Trading Company» stores do… c’mon you know when you walk by and you get that smell of sage or some bad incense? For fans of Taos Indian culture and my grandfather.
