The New Cirque Studio

I found this school through a Living Social deal — and initially had a good experience — even though it was hard to redeem all 5 classes as he was moving to a different studio and he was even a no-​show at my 3^rd class. Since moving to his temporary studio in Culver City, I finished my Living Social deal and giving him the benefit of the doubt, proceeded to pay for 10 classes in advance in a package deal. After using one of the 10 prepaid classes, Ivo told me he could not teach for a month as he was preparing for one of his shows. He told me classes would be back on in May 2013. I waited a month and reached out to him multiple times in May, June, and now we are already in July, with no response. I have sent multiple texts, emails, and left voicemails — but have not heard back at all. I have asked kindly for a refund for 9 prepaid classes, to no avail. I even refrained from writing this review as a courtesy in case he would send a refund, out of decency.
I really wanted to like this studio. I am very patient, and have been more than accommodating in terms of cancelled classes, gaps in class scheduling, and even no-​shows. I have given him more than 2 months to respond to me and to give me a refund but have received zero response.
Ivo is an unprofessional business owner, a coward, and now a thief hiding behind a by-​gone career at Cirque. All aerial students beware!!!
