If I would have known that dealing with this company would be such a pain, I would never have signed my lease. If you are a tenant, they couldn’t care less about you and make no efforts to make renting from them an enjoyable experience. I’ve rented from dozens of places in my life and have NEVER been exposed to this level of incompetency, lies and uselessness. I don’t know how they can even call themselves a management company — couldn’t manage their way out of a paper bag. AWFUL.

At first I was hesitant to get a property manager to rent out my property… I thought that it was an unnecessary expense. However, dealing with Josh has been a very positive experience. I started working with him about a year ago he made the transition from«owner» to «landlord» very smooth. He initially found a tenant who ended up falling through on her contract but WPM was able to collect funds from her until we could find a replacement tenant. Whenever a repair or tenant issue comes up, they are quick to respond and keep me informed. I know they have connections with plumbers and handymen so they can get done efficiently and what I think has been a fair price, in what would take me hours. Josh is readily available by text and even answered some questions not having to do with a property he manages! So yes, it will cost you money to have a property manager… but yes, it’s worth not having the headache!

Josh at Westside was our property manager for 2+ years. I loved working with him from the start. We were renting a renovated condo from a landlord who was offsite in Santa Barbara. Josh was the perfect liaison between myself and my roommates and the owner. He was incredibly fair and often went to bat for us when we wanted to negotiate terms and rent prices. I really felt that he had our best interests at heart. Beyond that, he was always available — he gave us his email, office and cell which you could text anytime. He made sure that any issues we had, whether on move in or during our tenancy, were addressed quickly and efficiently. I would 100% recommend working with Josh and Westside and would definitely look to use them again if I decide to move back to the LA area. Thanks, Josh!

We are very satisfied with your management services since you began managing our properties. Your tenant selection, property maintenance and expense control have been excellent. Most of all, we rely on your honesty and integrity. I feel that I can call you at any time for your opinion or assistance. It makes my life a lot easier not having to deal with the day to tray management of those properties.

They have worked with me to buy two properties in California(Culver City and the Bay Area), sell one in Boston, MA, and then rent out my property in Culver City. If the service was not exceptional, I would not have continued to work with them. My wife and I purchased our LA property from Boston and they made it easy for us. This is not an easy feat, but their patience and professionalism set them out from the rest. Years later, we moved purchased a home in San Francisco and rented out out SoCal property. Again, they made everything easy for us — I do not have any complaints. Everyone should call them and talk to them. They are family owned and run, and this makes a different in this crazy real estate world.

It was not a good experience. Two mistaken three day notices, an obligatory electronic payment system that is strictly ornamental, and inconsistent & intermittent communication. The upsetting thing is you can’t get the time back. I generously give two stars instead of one because I got 43% of my deposit back.
