Excellent food at reasonable prices! Lentil soup and chicken shawarma are both great. Really flavorful. Also, they have eco friendly to go containers!

Chicken shwarma plate is awesome. On another note, I come here often, and one night they made a large mistake on my order. Knowing it was a simple accident I called them up and let them know, the manager was very apologetic and offered me a complementary meal. Very generous of them, glad to have a place with people like this.

amazing place! I am definitely coming back when I am in the area. Omar who worked at the counter was incredibly engaging and I appreciated the real human to human contact. this restaurant is truly a gem in this area, rustic seating, friendly staff and extensive(and inexpensive) menu! if you are looking to try something new or love falafel stop by for a really worthwhile food experience!

Ate here this week for the first time and would definitely return again if in the area. The chicken kabob plate was good as well as the complimentary appetizer of pita slices with dipping oil and dessert(think it’s spelled luzia or lucia?). If we had only eaten those, I’d have given this place 4 stars but the reason it’s worthy of 5 stars is their amazing baba ghanoush. I’ve been a fan of baba ghanoush for over 20 years and always order it when I go to a Mediterranean restaurant. The baba ghanoush at Z Garden earns the distinction as the best I’ve ever had with its chunks of flavorful eggplant with great seasonings. We did have to ask for extra baskets of pita slices because they don’t serve enough in one basket, but they brought them out with a smile.

Used a Groupon here and we had Chicken Shawarma and the Tomato/Cucumber/Garbanzo bean salad. Chicken wasn’t sliced off of a spiral; rather, it was cooked on a grill and came out greasy(and was also fatty). The rice was boring — but salad and humus very good. Partner had the salad and it was 1 star, at best. Moving on, quickly!

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Santa Monica! I was very impressed with their service, the atmosphere, and the cleanliness of the entire dining area! I would highly recommend.

This location has also upgraded its décor to rustic modern, and like its sister on Wilshire is a great place to come for Middle Eastern cuisine. For $ 20 our family of 3 enjoys quality food and some of the best hummus I’ve ever had!

Ordered chicken shwrama If you ever been to Gaby’s this is the better version of it. Oh em gee, like they provide enough garlic sauce and i love the fact that they give you banana peppers already with your meal. It’s DELISH and I LOVELOVE their hummas. just stop reading and go grab a bite.

Ordered a lentil soup to go while waiting for my car at an auto shop across the street. It took an unusually long time to come out but no big deal I had time on my hands. When I finally got the soup that they said was warming up it was cold. Not even Luke warm really but cold. Some of the other food cooking looked and smelled ok but my overall experience was about as bad as possible for a restaurant that looks ok on the surface

Came here with a friend he had the lemon mahi mah with the turkish coffe and I had the shrimp kebab. we both had the fried rekakat, I’ll start with my friend he loved every bit of he’s fish and I must say the sauce that comes with the fish was tasty. both entrees come with hummus, rice, house salad and pita bread, My friend was disappointed with the coffee, it was old. in my case the shrimp was l old and dry the spices were on point and the rice was not fresh The pita bread and the sauce it came with was good, the staff was friendly I just wish our food would had came out at the same time. unlikely to come back again

I have ordered a salmon plate through Ubereats from this place. well can’t be worst. I found some leftover noodles mix with my rice. simply disgusting. Trying to reach a health department to check them.

Everything we ordered was ABSOLUTELY delicious! I had been craving for some good ol’ authentic Mediterranean food and this place definitely satisfied! For starters we ordered: Baba Ganouj(charbroiled eggplant) — 5⁄5 Labneh(yogurt dip with chopped cucumbers and herbs) — 5⁄5 (Both came with pita bread) For the entrée: Steak Kebab Plate — 5⁄5 Beef Shawarma Plate — 5⁄5 (Both were marinated and cooked perfectly! Comes with salad, hummus, rice, and garlic paste… generous portions!). I highly recommend this place because not only was the food delicious but the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly.

My Uncle took me, my Mom and Aunt here for dinner. My Uncle asked us all what we wanted and ordered at the register. I checked in here and got free baklava, which was convenient because I really wanted to try it. We sat by a window and waited to be served. We got our drinks first. I got a soda and the rest of my family got mint tea. The mint tea only comes hot. My Aunt and Mom wanted it cold, but my Uncle said you can only get it hot. Once the tea cooled down, I tried a sip of some of my Aunt’s tea. It was really good, it had a deep mint flavor and it went well with our food. I kinda wished I had gotten some mint tea. The first food item we got was some pita bread with an olive oil dip. The pita bread was warm and the dip was delicious. I didn’t exactly know what was in the dip, but it looked like chopped up green herbs, tomato and onions. We ate it all up. Next our appetizers came. We ordered the fried cauliflower and a tomato eggplant dish called Moussaka. The fried cauliflower was alright. I thought the cauliflower would be crunchy, but it was limp, soggy and greasy. It had a sour vinegar flavor to it that was pretty strong. The Moussaka was awesome, the eggplant was soft and tender and the tomato sauce was addicting. It was my favorite dish of the night. Shortly after we finished our appetizers our entrees came. We had the half rotisserie chicken that I ordered and a combo kebab plate. I just ate the chicken. The skin was seasoned well and the chicken itself was pretty good. The rice pilaf that was served with it reminded me of rice a roni, but I liked it, it was very flavorful. The hummus was great too, thick, hearty and a little bit of spice. Lastly we got our free dessert. I thought we were just getting the baklava, but they gave us that plus three other desserts. It was like a sampler plate, very nice. The desserts themselves were just ok, I don’t like rose water so it wasn’t really my thing. I did like their almond cookie dessert though, that was the only one I liked. I washed down all my desserts with their cucumber water, which was very refreshing. This was my first time trying this place and I tried a few things I’ve never had before. It was a very different and interesting meal that I very much enjoyed.

This place has some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had. I’m big on middle eastern and mediterranean food, so I’ve had more than my share of kebab and hummus. I can tell you that this place comes up on top. I got the combo kebab plate, which came with chicken, beef, and filet mignon skewer. The meat was very juicy, and the spices added a good kick of flavor. Their rice was pretty good too, and had its own distinct and delicious flavor. The hummus was the best I’ve ever had. That, mixed with the house pita bread, was delicious. The salad was ok, but I mixed it with some remaining hummus to add some flavor. The staff was pretty cool. I spoke with one of the owners, and he gave me travle tips to Tunisia. I will definitely be checking it out when I take my Unilocaling international. And I will definitely be back to eat here.
