First time here. Amazing food, good portions, and very reasonably priced. Who can’t pass up fresh bbq? Must try!

You know SP knows how to do tri-tip! This was super tasty it might’ve been because I was very hungry but it really hit the spot! Good portion size and I loved the sauce(had the regular not spicy) I live here in town but hadn’t been before I’m glad I finally gave it a try!

I’m only giving the 2 stars cuz my 94 yr old Grandma doesn’t know any better. This place is disgusting they don’t wear gloves there was only one cook who was cross contaminating up a storm in there he use the same white board for for every single item it took 45 min to get our to go order the vegetables were under cooked and the sauce was like water seriously Santa Paula you need to raise the bar on what you consider good quality food and customer service I mean the person taking the order has no customer service skills total fail

The bowls are addicting, owners are friendly, so happy to have more choices in Santa Paula than the typical fast food.

Meh. This place certainly doesn’t live up to its name. The tri tip was dry and tough, the roll was mediocre at best and they only have the style of sauce we don’t care for — watery, vinegary, thin stuff; we prefer thick, Southern-style sweet sauce, which is hard to find in SoCal. The macaroni salad was okay, and the prices were good, but I wouldn’t eat here again.

I’m not sure if those other reviewers went to the same place I did but my food was not as good. The prices were good and portions are awesome but flavor was off. I ordered a 3 meat selection and tried their macaroni salad. The tri-tip had no seasoning, it was cooked well but it wasn’t good quality beef, it was chewy and flavorless. The beef rib was also lacking flavor. The only meat I enjoyed was their pork ribs, they were seasoned nicely and went well with the BBQ sauce. I tried both sauces, their hot is actually HOT so they get a star for that. The bread tasted like the $ 1 bread you get from walmart, it was kinda old tasting and no chew. The macaroni salad was just macaroni, mayo, and dill, I didn’t taste salt or any other seasoning. This is my break down Cons: Tri-tip was flavorless, not the best quality beef bread was cheap macaroni salad was very basic, no flavor(unless all you enjoy is dill) Potato salad had hard potato chunks(not cooked all the way through) Pros: Portions are huge hot BBQ sauce is actually hot good price ribs are okay. I’d go again if friends made me but only for ribs.

Just 10 minutes from East Ventura, right off the 126 freeway. A hole in the wall, with delicious ribs, great sauce, and good baked beans, potato and mac salads. If you want ambiance, not the place to go, but if you want good food at rock bottom prices, this is a great find.

Our first time here, the BBQ smells amazing. We ordered the Tri-tip dinner. It’s $ 10 for one Tri-tip dinner, you get sliced Tri-tip, a big wedge of grilled bread with butter, maybe a hint of garlic but barely noticeable. They offer beans(your choice of baked beans or chili beans) and two sides: choice of cole slaw, potato salad, or macaroni salad. The BBQ sauce we chose was the mild one and it’s really good. It’s different than most BBQ sauces. It has what tastes like a hint of sweetness. It was hard to tell if it was home made… I could taste brown sugar and maybe nutmeg or cinnamon… It was dark and sweet. Not bad, unique. I liked it. The meat was well done. A little dry but that’s because I usually choose medium rare. Not sure if there was a choice, we were not asked how we would like our meat so probably not. They were out of pork ribs when we got there, which we wanted to try so we got the Tri-tip instead. The cole slaw tasted home-made, it wasn’t bad. Not thick and chunky; more fine. Flavor was okay. No complaints. The potato salad tasted home made. Mild flavor. The macaroni salad tasted home made. It wasn’t bad either. The bread was huge and okay. I thought it was a bit dry but it was okay. I enjoyed it. The beans. Hmm, not sure if the Chili beans were home made. They were okay. The baked beans were from a can I’m positive. Over-all I’d say on a scale of 1 – 10 I’d give them a 7. They were pretty busy for a Wednesday night. I want to try their ribs and the spicy BBQ sauce. The best thing was the BBQ sauce. It was very clean inside. The menu to order was a little confusing. Overall I liked it. I am hopeful they will improve on things a little. If their food was all 100% home made I would rate it higher. If they didn’t use a gas BBQ I would also score them higher. Because BBQ over charcoal or a good BBQ wood is so much better!

Hands Down! One of the juiciest BBQ Tri Tip Dinner I ever had! Garlic Bread is delicious and so is the Macaroni Salad. Chili Beans and Baked Beans are delicious also. Love the Mild BBQ Sauce. Love that they have Fountain Drinks and Chips. Love that is on the 10th St. Exit off the 126 Freeway. If you’re in the area is a must try.
