Good little spot. Some of the employees are absurdly slow and will overcharge if you aren’t careful. That’s it.

I just recently tried this place, I really love their organic coffee. Bagels are always fresh and the put the perfect amount of cream cheese. I love being smiled at and given a «good morning» by all the employees and owners. Keep up the great work and keep the great service. Come try this place if you’re in the area.

I just recently started getting my morning coffee from this place and I’m not sure I’ll go back. Oftentimes I have had to wait for a new pot to be brewed. But mostly it’s because of my experience today. The coffee ran out again and while they were brewing a new batch, the owner offered to take my mug to the back of the store to have it topped off. After putting in some coffee, I saw the man(owner possibly) talk to the female owner, and then he topped off my coffee with hot water. The coffee tasted watered-down. I then asked why they had put in water and they said that it was because they thought the coffee was going to be too strong. I’m highly suspicious. I really think that the owner suggested water be added, so that my travel mug would be filled up. Wouldn’t it have been better for them to ask me to try the coffee first before adding hot water? They did offer to give me a fresh cup of coffee, which I took. It tasted much better. I think I’ll stick with Peet’s or Starbucks. I prefer to support local businesses offering local products. However, at least at Peet’s or Starbucks, I know what I’m getting.

Wow do I miss the old school Grateful Bagel on Mendocino from back in the late eighties. We used to walk down on Saturday mornings and mom and dad would get coffee from the Deadhead hippie kids who lined the walls with stickers and concert flyers. Flash forward and the bagels are still great, the produce is fresh, and the service is friendly. But why such a drab environment? Hardly anything on the walls, the place looks sterile and uninviting. The Sebastopol location has way more vibe… Please bring back the culture Santa Rosa!

Terrible service! Don’t waste your time. My family ordered 4 bagels and a milk shake at 1:20pm. Yes they closed at 1:30, but it’s a bagel shop and it only take like 10 mins tops to eat a bagel. My 3 year old and 1 year old sat down to eat their bagels and my husband and I were still waiting on ours when the 2RUDE girls behind the counter kept saying how they are closing and literally turning off lights and stacking tables 5 mins before closing. After the 20th inappropriate comment, I asked about the milkshake which they forgot and rolled their eyes saying how they are closing. That’s when I gave them back the bagels and demanded my money back.

Just went to the grateful bagel for the first time today. It was an excellent experience. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it without hesitation

The bagels taste great and they are open 7 days a week. They offer breakfast and lunch options(I go for the Loxy Lady), and discounted day olds. I feel like it’s a healthy option when downtown and I like that they have outdoor seating.

DON’T EVERGOHERE! I ordered a garlic bagel(because they only had plain or garlic left at 1pm) open faced with veggies… I started with the bottom half & when I got to the top half it was way too garlicky, bitter & inedible. My boyfriend got the same thing & he couldn’t eat his either. I went to see if I could get a different bagel. The girl working there said she didn’t think so & she could get in trouble if she gave me a new one… so she called her manager who confirmed this. It is just so surprising that a company wouldn’t want to spend $ 5 to keep a customer. I will NEVER go back. Low quality food Horrible ambiance Dirty(maybe health inspection should be called) Rude & poor service

Great bagels and service. I would definitely go back. The pricing was great; I got a bakers dozen and 2 cream cheese for under $ 20 which Is a great deal especially with the high quality of the bagels.

I’m so glad I found this place! The breakfast bagel sandwiches are really good for such a small spot. The two girls working there were nice every time I came in. Grateful Bagel will be my go to breakfast next time I’m in the area for sure.

I’m local and stop in here 1 – 3 timer per week. Bagel sandwiches are always so delicious to the point I want to call them and tell him how much I enjoyed it(I always get it to go.) Thai tea is also fantastic and they have nondairy options which is appreciated. Most of the employees in here seem to be young(18 to 25) but are still professional and courteous. They aren’t bubbly and fake like some other reviewers might prefer. I have never experienced a very long wait time like some of the other reviewers mention. If it’s busy it might take 7 to 10 minutes but usually I am out of there in 5.

I recommend avoiding this place. Came in before work to pickup a bagel and coffee. There were 2 young ladies working and I received no greeting, was basically ignored for the first 3 minutes I was there. I got snotty responses to my questions and slow service. I was the only customer there and it took 15 minutes to get out. I love supporting small businesses but will definitely go to Starbucks instead of this place because they at least pretend to give a damn about customer service.

To: B S I’m not sure how you get so upset. I’ve been to that location almost every day and that annoying me cause you didn’t say what was real thing happened at that time. Can you get any bake for $ 0.95 nowadays. this is the only affordable place in downtown Santa Rosa. I was standing there when you were arguing with the girl at the counter. You came back to get refund after you finished the bagel? How funny was that? You were ordered bagel with plain cream cheese $ 2.25+ tax only. The customer next to me gave you $ 2 back just want you to get out for that store. I feel bad for the girl working there that has to deal the customer like you. So Mr. BS, next time DONOT take the food if you don’t agree with the price.

Walked in 8÷03÷2015 and ordered a plain bagel, although I did not ask for anything more their clerk volunteered to toast it. Menu board clearly says individual bagels are priced at $ 0.95 each but try explaining that to their clerk who insisted I be charged $ 2.45 for it. Deceptive and deceitful business practices, refused to get me into contact with the owners citing«privacy». Hope that $ 1.50 overage was worth it. Avoid that business

My husband and I were passing through town and was looking for a quick breakfast. We looked up Grateful Bagel. It was Father’s Day and they were open and ready to serve. The two ladies who served us offered suggestions as to their most popular bagel sandwiches. I had a pesto cheese, bacon and egg sandwich. It was delightful and yummy. My husband had a boars bagel. It had jalapenos, ham and cheese on top. It was a great start to a chilly day! If your ever in downtown Santa Rosa… Grateful Bagel is place to go!

This is my favorite bagel spot in Santa Rosa! Their selection is always amazing, their prices are fair and their coffee is great! Any of their bagel sandwiches are delicious and they make them right in front of you using very fresh ingredients. The selection of gourmet bagels is always changing and they don’t try to up charge you for every little thing. Their staff is also very friendly and seem to enjoy their job. My favorite? Pesto bagel with cream cheese!
