Kozy Kar Bar

This place is great! The décor is fantastic but I did hear women in the restroom complaining about it even though they acted like they liked it while at the bar. LOL If you don’t like it, don’t go there!
I love it! Porn and nudity are cool decorations that I enjoy here. Maybe I’m the weirdo but I don’t care — these are my people! lol
I have been there 3 times in the last month and have had fun each time.
You have to try the «waterbed» — awesome!
I will be back!

Got to love bars with a niche… especially when there are water beds and random porn playing in between old school cartoons.

As a member in the bar/​club service industry I am very picky and judgmental about bars and Bartenders. Service is all that matters to me. You make me feel special and unique and I am hooked for life. The Bartender was kind and fast. It was early. As the night went on and more people showed up I went back to the bar and another Bartender had started working (cute blonde women) and she immediately had me covered. Also kind and fast. There was no «I’m too cool for you» vibe or «I’m too busy to help you» attitude. I am back in town after spending 3 years away and this was my first night back so thank you guys for making my night fun and chill. You’re the best and I’ll be back very soon. Are you hiring? :)

I dig this joint because you’d think it’d be some scary perve bar but this place has one of the most chill crowds in Santa Rosa. Being in there felt like I was part of a big drunken family, which reminds me of home. Bartenders were cute and charming as well, so that helps. I want to bone the Asian looking one. Sorry if this is not okay for Unilocal.Just keepin it real

This is a fun place. Did all the vintage pin ups. The drinks are well made, reasonably priced, and the bar staff is fun and friendly.
It might not be the place to take a friend who isn’t comfortable with a bar top covered in furry muff… but if you are cool with that, and your friends are cool with that. It’s a cool place to hang.

My friend took me here and Im glad she didnt say anything about the place. I like this spot a lot. Full on booze in this bar!
Good service, interesting décor and good local beer on tap.

Tried to get the bartenders attention for 30+ minutes to get a drink for my friend who has just turned 21, finally got him over to us and said «she’d like something fruity what do you recommend?» And he said «I don’t take orders like that figure out what you want» and walked away, few minutes later we got him to come back to us and I tried ordering a few thing to which he responded each time that he didn’t make those. Then when my friends boyfriend very respectfully stepped in and tried to order something he said he didn’t like our attitude and wanted us to leave. We were nothing but respectful the whole time we were there. Needless to say we will not be going back.

In terms of dive bars, this is truly a five star joint. It will take a couple of visits to get over the initial shock factor of some of the decorations/​television programming… but once you do, cheap drinks, laid back vibes and a fun atmosphere is yours for the experiencing. Those of you who are familiar with the SF location, the Santa Rosa Kozy Kar is more of the same.
Keep in mind this place doesn’t open til 8pm, so if you forget you left your credit card open at the bar… your going to have to wait. not like I am speaking from experience or anything…

Such a good time at this bar!!! Santa Rosa’s hidden gem. If you don’t mind getting a little weird… this is your spot! The «artwork» is beyond anything you can imagine.

I came here for the first time this weekend and I loved it. The atmosphere is pretty interesting, the drinks are cheap and strong and the staff is super friendly, fast and attentive. I was a little thrown back when I was watching the tv and BAM, porn was on, but it didn’t bother me at all, it made me laugh, and the porn is shown in 30 second clips, so it’s not obnoxious. I will definitely be back again, hopefully I will snag a seat on the waterbed or the car inside the bar!

Cool place. All sorts of vintage pop culture on the walls, old toys, video games & lunch box stuff. Playboy centerfolds all over the bar and walls, a few cool pinball machines.
Oh, and porn spliced in with vintage movies and commercials… not the Cinemax kind!
So if you’re not offended by that kind of stuff (and you need to lighten up if you are), then you’ll dig this place.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for awhile now. We finally had the chance on a Thursday. It was very dead…
I was very happy to see the pinball machines. I played one quarter for about ten plus minutes. I scored two free balls (no pun) and racked a total of 2,456,010 points. Only eight million points shy of the high score!
Anyhow, I found it to be a really fun place. I could see a younger me thoroughly enjoying this place.
I took away a star because the drink that my girlfriend got really sucked…

Very cool place to have a drink, play games and chill on a weekday. Fun on the weekends too. Always a fun crowd and cool staff. I hope this place sticks around!

Oh MAN. I had such a good time at Kozy Kar! I was super excited to check this place out and it 110% DID NOT disappoint. I played the old school games, I pin balled, I rubbed the fur walls, I drank, I did things on that water bed I may not have ever done in my own bed. The old bar that was here, Epic, was not epic at all but Kozy Kar def makes up for that.
Go. Just go and quit your bitching.

Didn’t get a chance to buy a drink but a short blonde bartender kicked my friend out abruptly with a tap on the shoulder accusing him of being drunk at 11:30p’ish (seriously who wasn’t drunk at that hour)… The sad part is he and I were moving out of her way thinking she was a patron. Our group was completely confused, I was sure she meant someone else. I didnt have the energy to argue and thought she was joking or probably crazy. For the record my friend had 3 beers over a span of 2 hours. Won’t be back due to poor customer service, although it made for a good laugh at my friends expense. The arcade and pinball machines covered with people would make for a pleasant time at a quieter day/​hour. The random video roulette of 70’s 80’s shows followed by porn was a nice chuckle.
In closing visiting this place was a crappy way to end the night after my friends drove an hour from Napa to visit me.

This place is great. What do these other reviewers expect, it’s a dive bar! And for a dive bar I would say they in fact DID pay attention to detail; it’s covered in STUFF! And not just random stuff, it all kind of goes together I would say. Waterbeds, porno flicks, sparkly vinyl, retro porno posters, mirrored ceilings, and even a gutted vehicle to hang in! Also the drinks are cheap! I’m a fan!

This is what happens when you try to create a «Dive Bar». It really is just a dump with no effort or attention.
Maybe they should have finished the place before they opened. Fun concept, but a bunch of broken video games and pinball machines and half finished seating areas do not make a great atmosphere. The owner claims that it is too hard and too expensive to maintain these machines. I would recommend you remove them then.
There are a ton of great selections for bars in Santa Rosa. This isn’t one of them. I wont be back.
