i took a flight on cape air, which is a small cessna plane that connects this airport to it’s main boston hub. there were about 8 other passengers. for some reason, the TSA people, who make up pretty everyone who works there(aside from the 1 rude girl checking people in), decided i needed to have my carryon inspected since something looked suspicious in their x ray machine. unfortunately, their inspection area is in the boarding area. there was no privacy as they were asking me questions and taking out all of my stuff. it turns out the suspected object in my bag was a combination lock. sure, a guess a combination lock can look more like a knife. after all, they kept asking me about knives for some odd reason. «do you have a knife?» «did you pack a knife?» «is there a knife in here?» i suspect being that i was the only non-white person in that airport that i was being«randomly searched» for different reasons. thank you adirondack airport and your TSA staff in your efforts humiliating me.
