This place is a hidden secret, AMAZINGLY food and cakes. The omelette’s are fantastic! I had the omelette with German potato salad, I added bratwurst to it and it was out of this world! If you ever go to Siesta Key please try to make it a must to stop!

Fantastic! Little German heaven. Had a special omelet with potato salad in it. A-mazing! Also had a skillet with two eggs, ham, cheese, on top of bread. All of us ate every piece! They have a great orange beer too — goes perfectly with the meal. Light and refreshing!

Had a fantastic breakfast there this morning. This is a must try spot for anyone who is visiting Siesta Key. Family owned and staffed, they are amazingly friendly and the service was outstanding. My wife had an omelet, and I had a croissant sandwich with egg and black forest ham. Portions were great for the price. They have a gigantic case filled with every kind of cake and sweet imaginable. My wife and I will definitely be returning for lunch sometime this week before we head home.

Loved this restaurant! My family and I were vacationing in Siesta Key for Spring Break. We saw this restaurant as we drove by. We were staying very close to its location. We decided to try it for breakfast and liked it so much that we went back for lunch in the same day! The food is unique and delicious! The liquor cakes are amazing. The best I have ever had. The Carmel one was my favorite. The schnitzel is also fabulous. We will be back the next time we visit Siesta Key and that cannot come soon enough.

Their liquor cakes are AMAZING. We ate lunch here one day as well outside in the cute little patio area and the food was good but those cakes… you NEED to try them if you’re anywhere near this place. My husband and I tried several of the flavors they had and they were all delicious(my favorite was the banana). They also do online/phone orders for the cakes and they ship them directly to you, I placed and already received my cake order for my husbands birthday! Give these cakes a try, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Excellent coffee. Helpful and attentive staff. Had the croissant egg sandwich with black forest ham and cheese. The sandwich was delicious! Would recommend the one egg if you’re not starving. Absolutely HUGE selection of true German cakes and pastries. Having a hard time deciding on just one.

Friendly fast service. The sandwiches are very good and the bakery has some nice breads and cakes. Prices are reasonable compared to other places in the area.

Breakfast was adequate. Nothing special. Cute décor. Service mediocre. On the expensive side considering the small portions and lack of sides. Omelet came with three tiny pieces of bread. No jam. No coffee refills. I would try for lunch maybe.

This review is based solely on the rum cake. Yes, I also ate here but that’s not what’s important. It’s all about the rum cake. Seriously, if you’re anywhere within 50 miles of this place you need to stop what you’re doing right now and go eat their rum cake. «But I’m looking for breakfast» you say? I don’t care, eat the rum cake. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack it doesn’t matter eat the rum cake. Unless you’re a recovering alcoholic, then maybe don’t eat the rum cake. Otherwise, eat the rum cake.

I love this café! Best place on the island! The omelette are amazing. Their bakery is delicious, it’s family owned. They are very nice and welcoming people. If you haven’t tried the rum cake please do so right away!

The Unilocal location is wrong. It is actually a ½ mile further south, near the post office. We browsed around the store. The German beer bu the six pack was very expensive. Over 15 dollars a six pack. The pastries and prepared cakes looked very good. If you like coffee, do not come here. The Latte was very light and bland. I think they forgot to put the coffee in, or serve very weak coffee. My double espresso was nasty, terrible. I think their machine is broke. The counter person that serviced us was very abrupt and not at all friendly or personable.

The lentil soup, curry ketchup red bratwurst, and rum cake were all to die for! On top of that, the staff is super friendly and love to converse. They made us feel right at home, and I can’t wait to return to Siesta Key to try more. Perfect lunch experience.

We had breakfast here during our stay at the resort next door. I had the kind of breakfast(Strammer Max) I would prepare for myself back in Germany.
