The best Key Lime pie. They do an excellent job with their pies and are very reasonably prices. I encourage everyone to try their pies! The gift shop is darling and has many local gifts made by locals.

This place is tiny but oh man, is the pie excellent. Get the chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick, it is DEVINE. The Bananas Foster pie is good too! They will even let you try a couple samples. :)

First time on this place and was offered to taste their popular pies, key lime was really good but we have nothing to compare. But the 2nd pie was way better than the key lime, their passion fruit pie!!! We bough 2 pies each and brought them back home. Definitely will go back to this place!!!

Went in search of Key Lime Pie on a Sunday, but Floribbean is closed on Sundays so ended up with a Publix pie. So, headed back on Monday. Sort of difficult to find, this tiny bakery/store is a hidden gem. The very nice lady told us her husband is the baker, and you can tell that these are homemade. The crust was superb and the pie was top notch. We compared the Publix pie and they weren’t even similar. The pie was thick with just the right tartness and sweetness and that real graham cracker crust was awesome! BTW, they do deliver their bundt cakes all over the U.S. and they are delicious and moist. Don’t miss this place!

Best key lime and passion fruit pie I’ve ever eaten. The proprietors are very friendly and gave us free samples. The pie was perfect– moist, melts in your mouth and not too sweet. I’ll definitely be back

Just had my first key lime pie from here. Very good! Sweet and tart in the same bite, creamy too! Key lime does not have a standard taste, it’s always based on the bakers impression of what it should be. But this one is just as it should be.

Was really hankering to try some authentic Key Lime Pie… and these reviews convinced me! NOTE: I HAVENEVERTRIEDKEYLIMEPIEBEFORE, SO I DON’T HAVEANYTHINGTOCOMPARETHISEXPERIENCETO. Upon entering, we were greeted… but not so enthusiastically. The front of the shop had many knick knacks, and the back of shop was a display of truffles and cookies, as well as the counter. I expected the lady at the counter to inquire whether we had been here before or ask if we wanted taste… but nothing. She just stared at us. I asked her how large a key lime pie was and how much. She said a 9″ was $ 15. I asked if they offered a smaller size, since I didn’t want to pay for something I had not tried before. And she curtly replied that they offered slices for $ 3.50. Perfect! I asked for two slices and asked if I could pay with card, since I did not have cash. She said probably not… okay…so you don’t know? I ended up purchasing an entire pie so that I could pay with card. Cut myself a nice slice… and it was just SO sweet. I understand that the pie is made with condensed milk, but WOW just SOSWEET. I tried to pair it with a glass of milk. But one bite of the pie is really enough. Not so happy with their lack of customer service and I wasn’t a huge fan of their key lime pie…

This place is slightly hard to find(it’s tucked around the corner in a small shopping center), but it’s worth it! You’ll find a small selection of gifts as well as an array of Floridian candies(nice to take home!) The biggest draw is the bakery; cakes, cookies and more are available, and I’m here to tell you that you can’t NOT try a Limey cookie — basically a key lime pie in a cookie form. Flo’s also makes gift baskets, which seems to be a large chunk of the business, and they have enough tropical goodies to make a fabulous«Greetings From Florida”-type basket yourself! A nice place to stop for a Floridian treat!

Floribbean Flo’s Key Lime Pies are the BEST!!! I actually didn’t like KLPs until I tried their pie a few years ago… now I’m addicted, even driving down from Tampa to make a freezer restocking runs. Thank you for expanding my dessert repertoire(and my waistline)! :)

I live in South Venice so Floribbean Flo’s is not exactly around the corner from me. But I’ve tried key lime pies from the local gourmet supermarket, and from the supermarket chain near me… and nothing comes close. I pick one up frequently when I have errands in Sarasota. It’s easy to cut a pie in half and keep one frozen for later(if you can hold off until later)! And let me say that the price is excellent – comparable to the other key lime pies in the area, while being of far superior quality and taste. mmmm.

One of my gastronomic goals during my trip to Sarasota was to find a bakery that boasts a fantastic homemade key lime pie. I have tasted key lime pie in different parts of the continental US and have come to the conclusion that quality key lime pie is something that only Florida natives are capable to making. Here is my review of the pie at this establishment. I came to Floribbean Flo’s Tropical Bakery on a hot July afternoon. I was greeted by a very nice woman at the counter. She was very welcoming and offered a sample of the key lime pie after I inquired about it. This was a pleasant surprise as I was not expecting to sample before making a purchase. As soon as I tasted the key lime pie, I immediately knew that I had come to the right bakery. The pie boasted a perfect blend of sweetness(condensed milk) and tartness(lime). The filling was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the crust. The texture was perfect. It was flaky yet it didn’t fall apart when it was pierced by a fork. The best part about the crust was that it contained real butter. I’m a sucker for baked goods that are made with real butter. When a bakery use imitation butters, margarines, and/or a variety of cheap oils, I can immediately discern this cheap trick. The baker at this establishment understands that using butter to make a crust makes all the difference in the world. I purchased one pie during my first visit. I returned to the bakery a week later and bought two more pies… one to take back home and one to devour before I leave Sarasota. This key lime pie must be exceptional, otherwise, I wouldn’t have eaten two whole pies by myself. Go and get yourself a key lime pie at Floribbean Flo’s Tropical Bakery!

The best key lime ever!!! And I’ve had a lot of key lime pie. Their pie is perfectly tart and creamy with a traditional graham cracker crust that has a hint of cinnamon. We also tried their frozen chocolate covered key lime slice which was good but I decided I’m a purest and prefer my key lime pie straight up. The lady who sold it to us was sweet and the shop was cute. But let’s be serious here, it really is just about that key lime pie. So go now!

This is a review for their customer service only. I have never been to the shop, so I can’t comment on the quality of their product. I tried to call to set up a gift basket delivery for my coach and was very disappointed by the customer service. The woman I spoke with was curt and unhelpful. I expected a much more positive experience after reading all the reviews on Unilocal.Needless to say, they have lost my patronage.

We took out a key lime pie from here and it gets 5 stars based on the delicious, yum yum amazingness of the pie. I wish we had bought one for each of us and not one to share, and even though that sounds like something a fat person would say I’m willing to admit it because it was that good. Also bonus points because the ladies in the shop fawned over my little monster which I always appreciate. Although I have never had a key lime pie I didn’t enjoy, this one is really fantastic.

I was searching for a place that delivers gift baskets to Venice. I came across Floribbean Flo’s and decided to give them a try. They were very nice on the phone and helpful when deciding what should go in the basket. My parents loved the basket and highly recommend them. Glad I took a chance and gave them a call.

This place has the 2nd best key lime pie I’ve ever eaten(after Pepe’s in Key West). Great crust, perfectly tart filling. It’s the way key lime pie should be. If you are not from the state and want to know what good«real» key lime pie should taste like, I would recommend a visit here.

I don’t live in Sarasota, but whenever I’m there this is one of my first stops. I go for the Key Lime Pie, but usually end up getting at least some cookies and often more pie to go with it. My wife has even gets their cookies delivered to us in California for special occasions — if they shipped the Key Lime Pie we’d probably have a standing monthly order!
