Absolutely the best! Been coming here for over 30 years, and will come as long as I can. Great staff, great location, great pool, great beach! Best deal for the family in Sarasota.

My wife and I, along with another couple, took a stay-cation in Sarasota here at Limetree resort for one week. The resort is well maintained since it is such an old building and has been recently updated(we used to come here over 25 years ago). The room we stayed in was a one bedroom 2 bathroom with plenty of room, Well decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to survive the week without going out to eat. There were at least 7 gas grills available to use but one problem was they do not have long handled cooking tools available. Unfortunately, I got burned cooking one of the many times we grilled. I went to housekeeping to check out my cooking tools but there was no long handled spatula. The pool area is well kept but has a very long list of rules which was a little unnerving. We could not use a raft in the pool nor could we throw anything. Those are normal things you do while lounging by the pool. Being right on the beach with instant beach access is a very good plus to the resort. Rental chairs and umbrellas were available also. Our next to the last day we wanted to use the hot tub but it was closed while they were doing some sort of construction in it. The free wi-fi was very weak so we found ourselves having to use our 4g quite often. Next time we come here I will pack the car the night before. The mad scramble for the carts was the tough part in the morning. I do believe you had several rooms hording the carts from the night before in their rooms. Over all, if we are doing another stay-cation I’m sure we will be back.

This is a great place! The pool is very clean. They also have a jacuzzi and a small athletic room. They have direct access to the beach. The rooms are very clean and tidy. I’ve never had a bad experience when I stay here.

I’m a Florida transplant and used to curse the northern tourists, but since I moved to NYC in 2000 I’ve joined their ranks and am a shameless lover of the Florida SUN! What I took for granted in high school has now become a happy pleasure. Windows down? Absolutely! Shorts and tank tops in November? Of course! Iced tea or hot coffee? No brainer. My husband and I were more than happy to depart New York’s gray skies and 40-degree winter weather and arrive in balmy and sunny Florida mere hours later. We cruised to Limetree for our week of R&R and were in our 1-bedroom, 2-bath apartment within 10 minutes. This condo and rental property is like visiting your favorite retired aunt. Decorated in Florida’s unofficial colors of salmon and beige, the furniture was clean and tidy, with lots of extra pillows and blankets for the bedroom and enough towels to host a family of four. A sectional sleeper sofa was perfectly positioned for lounging in front of a wall-mounted plasma tv, and the open kitchen boasted enough counter space for three bar stools, plus a microwave, blender, coffee maker and dishwasher. Guests are treated like club members, and can call the front desk to «borrow» everything from large pasta pots to extra plates and silverware. There are also two gas barbecue grills by the pool area, two laundry rooms, an exercise room, pool, hot tub and bikes for no additional charge. LimeTree also has its own private beach complete with wooden lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a beach volleyball court for the athletically inclined. The grounds and pool area are in very good condition. Laundry rooms were tidy; office and equipment rooms neatly arranged and easily accessible. There is a «towel switch» available midweek to replace soiled bathroom laundry with fresh — a nice touch, especially with large families. Another perk is the free filtered water available next to the office, accompanied by simple plastic pitchers in each apartment for easy retrieval. This is obviously an annual trek for the timeshare owners, but renters like us felt very welcome as well. I would not hesitate to recommend LimeTree to friends, especially those with kids. There’s plenty of activities available for less than the cost of a restaurant meal, and enough room for everyone to truly enjoy their time by the ocean. In my opinion, LimeTree starts out with a solid four stars — it’s not a five-star room service kind of place, but it’s far nicer than your average motor lodge. Minus a half-star for never returning a call about my forgotten cell phone charger(like anybody needs it??), but I suppose it was my fault for forgetting it in the first place, so overall LimeTree garners 3.5 stars.
