Catherine’s In the Park

We visited Catherine’s while swimming in the Victoria Pool and sat outside. The waitstaff was busy, and we ordered drinks that admittedly took a long time to arrive. While we finally ordered (and we had to corral our server to stop long enough to take our order), it took at least 45 minutes for any food to arrive. Our appetizer, quesadillas, never arrived because the server apparently «grabbed the wrong dish.» Um, how was this done? We told her to cancel the quesadillas. When our lunches arrived, one of them not only contained an ingredient that we requested not be included, but we got the wrong side. When we alerted the server, she offered to take only quesadillas and wrong sandwich off the bill. While we were both angry, we still paid her and requested the manager, who extended the comp to our drinks. While we paid (and even gave the server a tip she did not deserve), we still left hungry and with a bad taste in our mouths. Slow service, no appetizer, two mistakes on one meal AND little attempt to fix the errors until we opened our mouths, not to mention that the costs of the meals weren’t all that low? No thanks … I’ll bring snacks to the pool and eat elsewhere in the future.

Went for lunch and sat outside by the pool. The menu consists of salads, sandwiches, and some burgers. Had the Hathorn with pasta salad and Pesto Chicken Panini with fries. The Hathorn was yummy but was a little dry and the side of pasta salad looked great but was flavorless. The wheatberry bread was sooo good too. The Pesto Chicken Panini was very flavorful and the fries were yummy and plentiful. The service was excellent. Saw some salads that had been ordered and they looked great. Maybe a salad and a frozen drink next time.

Came to Catharines after a round of golf with gf and some before Brad Paisley at SPAC. Food and drink were decent though very disappointed that on a mid eighties July Sunday the outside bar wasn’t open. Therefore no Pina collata that I was so looking forward to on the 18^th fairway. Settled for a mediocre margarita. The chips Salsa and guacamole were ok but the portion of Guac was two tablespoons. I had the crab salad and again decent but I’d like a little more crab with my greens. GF had blt. It was very good. Waitstaff was so inattentive they lost $ 20 in beverage sales. I’ll be back because I like the golf course and the pool but I was disappointed today.

The food was excellent and the restaurant was quiet and peaceful. They also took a little longer than expected but was worth the wait. The staff were all very pleasant and nice. Great spot if you are visiting SPAC.

Great sandwich and salad!!! Staff very friendly and helpful. A must do when visiting the park. Oh yeah and they have Stella on draft

Terrible service today. Left after 30min and asking 3 times to be served. Obviously no one cared. Highly disappointed!
