I recently attended the 15th Annual Hattie’s Mardi Gras party hosted by Fine Affairs — and I was impressed. Fine Affairs was tasked with transforming the Canfield Casino into«New Orleans of the North» and they definitely succeeded. Beads were everywhere, masks, feathers, and other fun bling lined each table. The food was done by Hattie’s — which I had only one silly complaint — but the entire party experience was organized and done well. I couldn’t help but think that if I were to ever have a wedding, Fine Affairs would be able to expertly handle all of the details. My silly complaint was with the raw bar oysters. Everything else was tasty and delicious, but the oysters weren’t cut away from the shell. I’m pretty sure this is more about the chef used than Fine Affairs. I love oysters and love seeing them at events but there’s nothing more awkward than trying to rip an oyster away from the shell while trying to still follow some common manners for eating in front of other people. All in all, Fine Affairs should be one of the top places to look into when booking your next event.
