Remarkable Finish asks you a question: is a great guys’ haircut worth $ 27(at minimum)? If your answer is yes, then you will be undoubtedly satisfied. All the barbers are well trained and listen to customer feedback. If your answer is no, then you best stay away. These cuts are only marginally better than cheaper options, especially if you are looking for something traditional and simple.

As a Saratoga native, I am very aware of all the options Saratoga, especially downtown, has to offer for hair salons. That said, I am going to make your hunting very easy! My mom has been going to Remarkable Finish to see Kim ever since it was opened! So naturally, ever since I started doing creative things to my hair, other than a «trim» I started going to MJ here. I can’t say I have never left dissatisfied, because I did… ONCE. The very next day I called and I don’t know who felt worse: me for calling or her for not doing it exactly how I wanted. With no regard to her busy schedule, she got me in asap and I was soon relieved to find she and I had the same vision this time. I really can not stress how nice this place is, how nice the people are and at the end of the day… how much YOU will LOVE it! :)

Being new to the town, I was hesitant about where to go and get my haircut. I randomly found this place and was very pleased with their service. They got me in on the same day and my hairstylist spent her time making it just right. I love her perfection and personality. They are reasonably priced for the great saratoga location. Thanks!

I have a friend who used to be known as the friend with the big hair. Think Monica Geller-Bing in Barbados. Ok not that bad you get the point. One day I notice her hair is looking amazing and shiny and I comment as such. Turns out she’s just discovered a fabulous stylist at Remarkable Finish. Being in the market for a new salon, I immediately call to make an appointment for a cut and color with Nate. The aforementioned friend has since lost the title of «Frizziest Hair.» The salon has a great old-school Broadway feel. I like that it wasn’t all«brand new,» but has the classic Saratoga charm. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still nice inside and fits with the Saratoga ambiance perfectly. When I arrived I was offered coffee and water which I think is important for any salon to do. At 9 am on a Saturday this was very welcome. Nate spent time with me to ensure we got my desired results. He didn’t run off and have somebody else blow dry or shampoo me. He listened to me and I left with fabulous hair. Interestingly enough later that day a girl complimented my hair. When I told her where I got it done, she said«Nate?! Me too!» In fact, I recently was looking at an acquaintance’s wedding photos and complimented a bridesmaid’s hair color. Come to find out, she also goes to Nate. Remarkable Finish offers all of the products and services you’d expect, as well as feather and colored extensions if you’re looking for that extra something. Prices are affordable and they don’t push product on you like some salons will. I’d definitely recommend you give it a try!

This salon sits in the heart of Saratoga Springs. The salon is filled with friendly stylists and there is always great conversation. I was intimidated price wise by frequenting a salon right in downtown Saratoga but their prices are great. I came to know this salon in 2010 by following my favorite stylist Nate there! He has been my stylist since 2006 and I have since brought all of my family to him and many of friends who are happy customers as well. After visiting 4 other salons in Saratoga he was the only one who knew exactly what to do with my sons long curly hair to make it look great!!! I always. always leave on cloud nine! If you want great atmosphere, great prices, and of course great salon services… give it a try you wont be sorry!!!

I have to admit I was initially underwhelmed by Remarkable Finish. I went on a Saturday morning with a bridal party. When I got there there were only two stylists, one of whom looked a little green in the gills. While one friend got in the chair I was directed toward«the books» to pick out a style. Good Lord. Why do these hair books exist? I get the feeling that they stopped publishing these books in the early 90’s, yet salon owners feel compelled to keep these stylistically antiquated volumes in their places of business… but I digress. Upon realizing that I didn’t want to look like Lisa Turtle for the wedding, a few more stylists had arrived and the place livened up a bit. They were cool with us bringing an ipod dock and had no problem when we started popping bottles and making mimosas.(I seriously love drinking booze in salons). Yvette was my stylist. I told her I wanted something that looked like organized chaos, i.e. make it look like I rolled out of bed looking super hot. She did not get what I wanted. When she finished my hair was slicked back and had some weird curls. I told her that I did not like it at all, and explained what I wanted a bit more. The second time she nailed it. Thanks Yvette! All in all, this is a nice little salon in downtown Saratoga. I did feel that the stylists didn’t really have any direction, or new ideas for the girls getting their hair done. I didn’t hear anyone making suggestions to their clients, which is bizarre since a lot of us didn’t really know what we wanted to do with our hair. At the end of the day, the staff is friendly, the service was relatively quick and the price was right… I just don’t think I would go back here.

Awful, unprofessional business. Sold expired skin care products to my wife and when they tried to replace it with about to expire product the manager called my wife a b*tch for not wanting to accept it. When I calmly tried to intervene, the same manager yelled at me and clapped her dye covered gloves loudly & repeatedly in my face. We were actually told that if they received expired product, we were obliged to buy expired product and it wasn’t their fault if they sold expired product if that is what they received from whomever they order from. Interesting business model. If you want fresh skin care products and professional behavior, there are plenty of places to find that in Saratoga. This place will offer neither one. I gave one star because the site forces me to and doesn’t offer the option of negative stars.
