Unfortunately I was in town for a funeral, however, Phoebe and Tara were able to take my boyfriend’s mother and I very quickly. She had a wash and blowout, I had a wash cut and blowdry with Phoebe. She was very personable and knew exactly what to do. I gave her no direction whatsoever, just that my hair «badly needed a trim» she put angles and layers in all the right places. We were both pleased and were in and out in less than an hour. In my mind, this is the only salon you should go to in Saratoga.

Come to Phoebe to get your hair cut. And if you are like me, with male-​pattern baldness meeting a receding hairline (not entirely yet, thank you) you appreciate that the hair cut looks good no matter what. I get a shampoo, rinse, cut style and dry, in and out in less than 30 minutes. Although it is a nice place to relax and listen to the chit-​chat going on. That is what the world needs more of, chit chat.
This place is a habit I do not wish to break. You need an appointment.

I got my haircut from Phoebe for the first time last week and I loved it! What I love about her is that she listens to me but she also lets me know what looks good on me. She’s also super hilarious! You’ll love getting your haircut from her. I highly recommend Phoebe!

Most of my family goes to see Phoebe and Tara, and they do a great job cutting my dad’s fine hair, my mom’s short pixie cut and my shoulder-​length sometimes curly sometimes straight hair.
I’m not very adventurous when it comes to haircuts and I like that Phoebe listens to what I want. The one time I decided to let her do whatever she wanted (as long as I could pull back into a pony-​tail) she gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had. She has a good sense of what style suits a person, but won’t push you into anything.
The salon was recently remodeled and looks great. Both Phoebe and Tara are easy to talk to but it’s not awkward if there’s silence. The prices have gone up a bit in the last couple years but it’s still a good price for great cut.

I initially discovered this salon because it was a half block away from where I worked at the time in 2000. The place was originally owned by a gentleman who made it one of the very first unisex salons in the area. It has since been owned and operated by Ms. Phoebe Vu for the past 8+ years and I enjoyed returning there until about 2006. Phoebe is friendly and always gave me exactly what I asked for in terms of a simple cut. Her scalp massages during the shampoo were out of this world and I always joked that I would come back just for the massage. She is very dedicated to customer service and even experimented on me with eyebrow waxing once.
I would return more often except for two reasons: 1) I no longer work or live anywhere close to Saratoga and 2) there is a complete lack of healthy hair folicles on top of my head these days!
