Barn on the Pond is one of the most special places I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I feel so taken care of every time I stay there. The team is absolutely delightful– the most thorough, thoughtful, generous, responsive people. The care and thought and creativity that has been put in to the beautiful fairytale barn turned mansion, make you feel like they read your mind and made sure all the things you love in life are gathered in one place. It is the most relaxing and magical place.

Perfect place for an upstate getaway! The barn is gorgeous, warm and inviting with huge high ceilings, a gigantic kitchen and all the amenities you could want. And there’s an airstream, people! Me and 10 of my friends spent an incredible weekend up here enjoying the fall colors and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Definetly coming back!

Barn on the Pond was the perfect place to host our Something Wicked This Way Comes #BarnEvil party!!! Tripp was the perfect host and he really went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. We had everything we needed and much more! Everyone had an incredible time there and the Fall foliage was the perfect backdrop to our weekend. The Barn is an AMAZING space. If I could live there I would!!! The Kitchen is a chef’s delight and since it is open to the Great Room you can still interact with guests. The outdoor fire pit is a great touch, we enjoyed roasting marshmallows! The indoor and outdoor fireplaces are so warm and fabulous as well. Everything is very hi-tech but we also appreciated that the Barn had a record player and some vinyl which we really put to good use! It was a very peaceful and quiet getaway except for during awesome Halloween Party, which was so much fun! The space is perfect a large group getaway or any event. I can’t wait to go back. I LOVE Barn on the Pond

I recently spent a week at the Barn and it was a home away from home – but better. The kitchen is massive and open to the living room, so it’s easy to cook and socialize at the same time. There’s a lovely yard in the back for kids and dogs to run around and seating on the upper and lower porches for the adults. The Barn is perfect for a large group of friends or family. There are couches, tables, and balconies for spending time together but also for taking a break and spending time alone. :) If your phone has bluetooth you can hook up your music to portable speakers and fill the house with your favorite music. I can’t wait to come back!

Just returned from my second visit to Barn On The Pond — it won’t be my last. Previously we were three couples; this time there were two couples, three singletons, three kids and a dog. Both times the barn’s array of bedrooms and fold-outs accommodated us easily. Being a non-driver, I love that I can get the bus from Port Authority to Kingston($ 26), call and cab($ 29) and be there in two hours. On arrival, the grime and hustle of NYC are replaced by a great stretch of lush green lawn that stretches from the house down to the large ornate pond. The interior feels a bit like a Four Seasons in Aspen — 40-foor ceilings with a big central fireplace and handcrafted stone chimney that climbs to the cathedral peak. I heard the place gets used as a a lot as a location for photographics shoots — not surprising. Our king-sized bed in the master bedroom was like sleeping in a gigantic cloud. The shower had strong water pressure and the clawfoot bath tub downstairs was a treat after hiking the nearby trails. My favorite part of the house is the secret alcove on the upper balcony. It has tons of cushions, a gas fireplace, and is open on three sides with a sweeping view of the property, making it perfect for solitary reading or sunset-watching with a glass of red wine. Thinking about it now makes me long to be back.
