Marky Mark’s Tattoo Works

Mark is amazing! I’m not sure what John D below is writing about. Mark is a phenomenal artist, the environment is clean and the equipment is sterile. Mark has done all of my tattoos and whenever I ask for an adjustment or a touch up, he does so without any issues. In fact, he always tells me to come back for touch-​ups if the ink doesn’t stay. His wife, McKinsey, does all of the piercings and is a nurse as well. I recommend this place for everyone looking for an amazing tattoo. I live in NYC and gladly make the 2.5 drive upstate just to see Mark and McKinsey.

Been to a few others in the nearby areas, as much as I like metamorphosis in Kingston, markymarks IA amazing. McKenzie is extremely nice and always makes you feel like your a long time best friend. And mark is pretty awesome guy once you get past the intimidating exterior. Great tattoos, amazing piercings and piercing advice, and a nice clean shop to boot. No matter where I end up if I want another tattoo or extravagant piercing, I’ll go the mile for these guys. Have been to them multiple times each, and always recommending them to friends and family. I went to MM tattoo a few years back and paid him around 100 $ to do a simple lettering job and he did a lousy job at it. I asked him to fix it up and he refused and acted unprofessional. I basically had to tell him and his gf off and went to some one else to have it repaired correctly. Bottom line guy did a lousy job and im unimpressed with his abilities and his unprofessional attitude. I also noted the place was unclean and possibly in violation of health and safety codes.
I would not recommend MM tattoo to anybody I would say there are other better local artists who are better skilled and cleaner then he is. and would be-​careful of unclean tattoo shops as they can spread disease as well as give lousy tats.

I have a few tatoos that I had done on the west coast, but was in town due to the loss of my dad. I stopped by and discussed it with Mark and took a couple days to think about it. Made an appointment after 6 PM and Mark was waiting at the door.
I selected a celtic cross and Mark did not disappoint! This is the first tatoo parlor that actually gave you some gauze and ointment to care for your tattoo! Excellent!

I have two tattoos and Mark has done them both. I will not go to another Tattoo place.
Mark and McKinsey are very friendly and very helpful. You don’t have to worry about anything while you’re here, Mark is very clean tattoo artist and a good conversationalist.
For my second tattoo, I brought Mark a piece of paper that my dad wrote on, and I wanted it turned into a tattoo. He did an amazing job. You could take him anything and he’ll make it amazing.
He will not tattoo you on the spot, so go in for a consultation. You will not regret having Mark tattoo you! Marky Marks in THE BEST!

Marky Mark’s holds a soft spot in my heart — not only do they have a bitchin’ name, but this is where I got my belly button pierced!
The place was pretty straight forward. I remember it being a little cramped, but the person that took care of us was helpful and polite.
I was with my then bff Andrew and we decided that we wanted to get pierced. I went first — they pierced me and I got an INSTANT rush of adrenaline! I was ready to get something else pierced! Thankfully, they told me to just let it pass — it was Andrew’s turn! When they pierced him, I watched his pupils dilate and he got light headed! They were nice enough to get him a cup of water and let him sit until he got his bearings back!
The jewelry that they used was high quality — I still have it to this day. They did a great job with the piercing… I had minimal pain and after care was easy. I would definitely recommend Marky Mark’s to any locals looking for a new hole! ;-)
