Awesome food with get out portions. Burritos are out of this world. But what makes this such a great restaurant is the staff. Really has become my neighborhood spot.

Very fresh salsa and light tortilla chips. Food very good and like home made. I like local restaurants, seems like everything is fresh and not frozen like chains . Warm and welcoming staff and the best part: very dog friendly . If you are in Sausalito you need to give them a try.

It’s certainly not the best food but it’s solid. I had the Baja Fish Tacos(grilled) which were actually really good. Husband got enchiladas(carnitas & beef) — he didn’t love them. Warm chips and salsa are provided upon sitting down– chips good, salsa eh. I got house Marg on the rocks — eh… Syrupy. Husband got frozen. Weirdly his came with an orange slice? And my fish tacos came with lemon? Maybe they ran out of limes. It’s decent and I’d go back but def not great. Service was fantastic.

Came here for a late lunch around 3 and ordered a carne asada quesadilla. It was meaty and cheesy and came with sour cream, pico de gallo, and guac. Delicious and pretty big; I had enough to eat for lunch the next day. My friends enjoyed their food too. Nice chips and salads to munch on while you wait. A little pricey but it is Sausalito, what do you expect?

Food was good. Parking could be an issue even though they had a lot it was full. Waiter could have been a little more attentive. Bar area was rocking with locals.

We love everything about this place! Great food, generous cocktails and fresh fresh fresh! Mahi Mahi grilled tacos are out of this world, fresh salsa & chips to die for! Just thinking bout the Mac n cheese makes my pants feel tight, comfort food for sure! You will not be disappointed, best margaritas in town & Guillermo is pretty charming… look out ladies!

Good food, friendly, efficient service, noisy and fun. The seafood stew in a roasted tomato and red pepper broth was delicious as was the spinach salad with grilled prawns. The tres leches cake, my all time favorite, was a crushing disappointment. The salsa was the highlight of the evening. The chips were serviceable. Service was efficient and friendly. The prices seem high for what the place is and the food, while good wasn’t great, so we will only go there once every few years.

I liked Saylor’s a lot. I picked it(never been there) because it sounded casual and the name is very close to my husband’s which I found amusing.(I’m sure the Saylors get their name misspelled as much as my husband does.) Anyway, it was Saturday afternoon on a nice day and this place takes reservations and is away from the more crowded venues. I hate waiting with the herds. We were greeted and seated right away. I immediately felt at home in the place. I like the décor and menu choices. The tortilla chips go down easy. The staff is very friendly. And the most important part is that the margaritas are killer. I had two and was plastered. I hardly remember the Cabo-style tacos but I gobbled them up. Everyone was satisfied. I hope to come back for dinner so I don’t get bombed in the middle of the day. It kind of screws up your night.

I had the tostada that looked amazing and fresh, but sadly didn’t make me want to gobble it down, lacked flavor. He had fish tacos, looked amazing but didn’t knock his socks off. The place is neat, clean and friendly. The service was sporadic, didn’t get our water until and bill arrived. We asked for additional taco shells and some limes, they got them to us — but NOONE ever asked if we wanted another drink. That’s where they make their money — right? I noticed other reviewers said much the same — lack of flavor. The owners might want to think it through.

Great Food, Great Service, and Great Atmosphere. This was our first visit here. The Tuesday special of slow roasted pork was sweet, tender, and yummy. The Snapper fish tacos were also nicely done. The bartender who Aldo served our bar table was Guerimo and gave Amazing service and showed all his personality. We will definitely be back for future dinners.

Let’s start with the list of what I like about Saylor’s: 1. It’s a definite locals hang-out: the bar is full of regulars and no one’s putting on any airs(something you can’t avoid when you travel further down Bridgeway). 2. The staff are awesome: what a great group of funny, kind, down-to-earth people. 3. The parking lot: they have one. 4. The ambiance/atmosphere: it’s so casual and has a real Mexican flair, especially with all of the cool art pieces. Here’s the list of what I don’t like about Saylor’s(it’s not really a list since there’s only one thing on it): 1. The food: this is not authentic Mexican food, which is a bummer. My food(shrimp fajitas) didn’t really have too much flavor at all, let alone the spice or «kick» I was expecting from Mexican cuisine. My mom’s Mexican cooking at home is much closer to the real deal. Saylor’s portion sizes are beyond generous but that’s not much of a plus when you’re not really enjoying what you’re eating. I tried the sour cream fudge cake for dessert because I have heard rave reviews of this particular dish; unfortunately, this course was also a letdown. It was very sugary and didn’t have much variation in flavor or texture, just mouthfuls of too much sweetness. I would recommend the bar because the chips and salsa are good, the drinks are flowing, and those locals sure look like they’re having fun.

Again, I have to rave about this place. I’ve been coming to Sean and Sonja Saylor’s for years and years. Even before this location, the best in town… Actually best around for many miles.

I’ve been 3 times now and I think I’ve found a new regular haunt iof myself. The staff are very pleasant and seem genuinely eager to help. They make their own Tortilla Chips and they are served warm. you can actually taste the difference. The Salsa is epic imo. I’ve had The Special Burger 2xs already and am no whare near tiered of it. The sweet potato fries are wonderful. I need to go back and really try a few of the menu items. IN fact I’m headed there after work today to meet a friend for a drink… lucky me!

Came here a few weeks ago using a Unilocal deal. The restaurant itself is really nice. The service is good and prompt. We wanted to sit outside but I guess the outside was closed due to high winds. We got a pitcher of margaritas. The margaritas were very tasty. We also split a few dishes. The food was decent. Nothing exceptional but decent. I would say the only detractor is the prices. Really expensive for mexican food. I think if i I didn’t have a Unilocal deal or groupon or something it wouldn’t be worth it. But decent food, great service, nice atmostphere.

Sonya– That was quite a lengthy response. Clearly you seem a bit defensive. I’ll be more concise with three quick points: 1.) Service dog or not — he should not have been sitting at the bar(please see the picture). I have encountered a number of service animals in my time, but have never seen one sitting at a serving counter where food and drinks are disbursed. Moreover, the Department of Health guidelines you cite, fail to support the presence of a service dog at the bar. Is an animal’s documented presence at the bar something you truly wish to defend? 2.) That notwithstanding, since you wish to involve the Department of Health, I will involve them as well(along with the BBB). 3.) And while you wish to paint me(erroneously and dishonestly) as some hostile and outlier reviewer — I note that a full 10% of your reviews reflect dissatisfaction with one or two star ratings. Congratulations on furthering my poor customer service experience. I now have a greater understanding of where Alvaro learned his behavior.

Fish and chips are perfectly fried and crispy.(Thick fish, thin fries). We also got the Wednesday special; pot roast… It was good although the sauce could have been a little thicker, Still very flavorful. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Love the bathroom décor. Will return. :)

Hubby was back in town, so I took him to Saylor’s…gave it another shot. Owner Sonja messaged me and nicely suggested I take hubby here when he’s back in town due to my last experience. She also offered the Unilocal deal again the next time we dine in. Our son tagged along of course, no date night there. We didn’t do happy hour this time. My husband got the enchilada with chicken & shredded beef, and I got the fish and chips. Our son ordered the kids’ chicken strips. Everything tasted superb, and my husband said we’re having dinner here from now on when he’s in town. My fish & chips were the best I had ever tasted, and might I say they’re even better than FISH across the way :) Owner Sean came over personally, and we told him how much we enjoyed our dining experience. Everything was 5-stars this time around. We will definitely be back to enjoy many more mouthwatering entrees, margaritas & sangrias!
