Antique Center At Historic Savage Mill

Very good store. Lots to browse yet reluctant to buy due to prices.
From coins to furniture of all sorts. Old padlocks, antique keys, soda bottles, books, silver ware, all sorts of art, candle holders, costume jewelry, posters and more, more … more.

Antiques are extremely overpriced. What the dealers fail to realize is that you can find a lot of these antiques on EBAY for half the price or even less than that.
In addition, there doesn’t even seem to be anything new here. I’ve gone here several times and it’s just the same overpriced stuff that’s been sitting there for years and years.

Prepare to get lost in an abyss of antique finds, my friends! This place as got it all — and then some! From rare coins, to furniture, to jewelry, to art, and more, the Antique Center at Savage Mill has an amazing array of unique items.
Not that I know a ton about antiquing, but I do do my fair share of it and always come away with something that I like, even if it may not be something worth a mint. For me, it’s about the hunt and coming out of the quest with something rare that makes you smile.
The jewelry cases almost threw me off my mission, as I perused each ring and necklace that remotely caught my eye, but I kept moving. This time, I wasn’t on the hunt for myself: I needed a present for my mother-​in-​law on her birthday and had no idea what to get her. That when I saw it: a Shirley Temple porcelain doll just begging to be added her to collection. It was perfect!
It took me awhile to get someone to help me, but when I finally did, she was more than helpful. It wound up being the perfect present for mom and now sits in one of her showcase cabinets, which of course made me feel like a million bucks.

Underutilized space but architecturally interesting. Antiques grossly over priced.

Excellent antique mall, medium size, with no empty spaces.
Merchandise focused on glassware and Americana, with some good jewelry and toys.
Worth the drive.
