Casual Italian restaurant in Scarsdale with great food and cool people. Drove up from Bridgeport Ct, and had eggplant parm was fantastic. Owners were Italian and very sociable. Nice old school feel will definitely be back with my father. Has both takeout and small dining room.

Best pizza in Westchester, bar none. Great neighborhood spot that never fails to deliver great food and great service. It’s not fancy or a big place, which is exactly how I like it. It’s just a great neighborhood place with friendly service and and old-​school vibe. That said, it’s a destination spot for me since I no longer live in Edgemont and is well worth the trip!

They only take American Express cards and don’t even post on the front door or by register that this is the only card accepted! When I told the guy I don’t carry an Amex, he said to go next door to an ATM and thus pay more money for his already overpriced pizza. How do you operate a business and only take American Express and no other card? Very upset.

Reasonable place to get cheese pizza but the toppings will only disappoint you.
Service is not that bad and they deliver, so I’ve never been to the actual venue.

Gennaro’s is an legendary asset to the Edgemont community, and has been a first-​class pizzeria for the twelve years I’ve lived here. Offering legendary pizza that everyone craves, as well as garlic knots which are an unfairly underrated delicacy, coming to Gennaro’s simply never gets old as you know that you’ll be greeted with friendly service and great food.

Very great place, has the best pizza anywhere. The three guys who work there are very kind, funny, and I have to also note that it is a very family friendly place. They will turn one of their TV sets on to cartoons if the kid asks for it. If you want to eat pizza in a nice clean place where the pizza is good and you can easily bring your kids this is the spot. Danny, Ray, and John all rock!

I grew up eating at Gennaros in the 80’s and it was the best damn pizza anywhere!!! I have not been back to scarsdale in almost 20 years, but I still dream of the meatball parm and the pizza :)

First time I had their chicken parm dinner it was ok. Nothing special but hit the spot. Ordered tonight (Super Bowl), same dish but it was very disappointing. Maybe due to expected volume for game day, it seems like they precooked a bunch of chicken cutlets and ended up overlooking quality control. Chicken cutlet was very dry that I was choking down my drink to get it down.

This is one of my favorite pizza places. The pizza is delicious and I love the garlic knots. The prices are very reasonable, especially for this neighborhood. The chicken parm is yummy, as are the rest of the wedges and entrees. You can’t find more friendly service– the owner and the other counter guys are so nice and helpful. If you go on Friday night to Gennaro’s, you might just see me there.

Genarro’s is a wonderful neighborhood institution. John and Ray are the nicest guys you could ever meet. Mornings they are crosswalk guards at the local elementary school. Good guys. They also deliver pizza to the school for lunch on Friday. The pizza has gotten much better in the years. For convenience and for delivery great. Only complaint is crust is a little too thick for my liking. Their garlick knots, ministrone/​fagoli soups and huge salads with chicken are delicious. Not the best place to go for entrees/​sandwiches. But killer local pizza.

This rating is only for their pizza as this is the only thing we have ordered from them. They make their pizza fresh (you can watch them make it from the side) and it is delicious. Certainly better than Pizza Hut! They have pretty quick and great service. They do have an extensive list of entrees like pasta and salads. I’ll have to give those a try next time.
