Really like the staff at this Trader Joe’s: always willing to help. Last week, a product was off the shelf and the TJ employee went to the back and found a carton that he unpacked, so that I could have one box. After surgery last year, the staff always helped to take my groceries to my car and load them in for me. No other market was willing to do this; I would have had no groceries without TJ! So, why only 4 stars? This store is so popular, there is often no place to park in the lot. Most disappointing is that this store seems to order just enough to have stock of items that will be sold that day. If you go there after work, many of the items on your list could be out. Similarly, the seasonal items this year disappeared by mid-November, well ahead of the holidays — but this is less crucial than the daily items(eg, eggs) which disappear before the end of the day. Fresh produce can be iffy. BTW, has anyone ever won for bringing your own bag? I’ve been filling out those little coupon tickets for years and. no, not me!

TJ’s always gives me a weird sense of happiness just because everyone is so friendly and all their food looks so good. Never go there hungry. You’ll want everything. The chocolate babka is so freaken good.

Other than the fact that the parking lot is a hot mess, this location is cool. The isles are wide, the register, if it’s crowded becomes a total disaster.

I live one-half mile away, so I can go when it’s not crowded. Everyone loves Trader Joes(although the produce could be better). Here is some parking advise if the lot is full: 1) Park in the Citibank lot across the street. However, beware of the guy in the security car. If he’s there, you can’t park in the lot. 2) If school is not in session, park in the school parking lot across the street. 3) Pass the store, and make a left turn. There are free diagonal parking spaces that are typically readily available. The exception is when there is a high school sporting event at the nearby fields. 4) Park in the Lord and Taylor parking lot across Route 22. You can cross at the light. Suburban residents are very spoiled when it comes to parking. Manhattan residents will walk 10 blocks(one-half mile) to their favorite stores. These parking alternatives are actually very close to the store.

No problem with the staff at this location. In general they are very helpful. THEPARKINGLOTANDPHYSICALSTOREAREANABOMINATION. On the weekends you’re looking at 30 – 40 minutes in parking time. IFYOUARELUCKY. It’s shocking that the town of Scarsdale hasn’t intervened. Today, the bank lot across the street was full as was the school lot across the street! Does Trader Joes compensate them for the use of their parking lots? Not to mention the cars were backed up to Rt. 22 and I counted 5 near miss accidents! With the traffic from L&T across the street, the growth of the area and the brand… this location is no longer viable or safe. To make matters worse, TJ’s SHARES their tiny parking lot with a wireless store and a nail salon! C’mon, seriously? Someone is going to get killed coming into, walking through, or leaving this lot. It’s also endangering people and drivers that aren’t shopping at traders joes. I guess we’re just waiting for that local news flash before someone acts. Also, their stock levels are not good and the employees(again, very helpful) are outnumbered. Still, even with a swelled store, the staff does a good job at crowd control. They always appear calm. The inside of the store is small. It needs to be DOUBLE this size to accommodate the area. Today was the last straw. I’m heading over to the Larchmont/Mamaroneck location. Love the staff and I’ve been coming here for the better part of a decade because of the customer service. I’ll miss that. Is anyone in the towns of Eastchester or Scarsdale watching the wheel here? Knock knock… this situation needs to be addressed before someone is critically injured.

Unable to handle the customers it draws. Avoid at all cost during the weekend. Staff is good at being aware of people at the register but don’t recognize the effect this can have on other customers.

This location has a small parking lot. Every time I go there the parking lot is full including Sunday at 12:30 pm, Monday at 11 am, Thursday at 2:30 pm, forget even trying on Saturday. I have driven on home many times for this reason. Its a nightmare.

Here is a big THANKYOU, to the store manager, Nick, who stopped what he was doing to help me calm my son with autism. Nick helped him shop, opened a check out line for him to make his purchase and most importantly treated him with compassion and respect! NICKYOUROCK!

Seriously lacking in FRESH produce. Why are all these organic bell peppers way past their prime, and still sitting on shelves for me to see? Fine for some of the basics, but if you really need canned things, broths, frozen items and even dairy– really, most grocery items– this could be your spot. Personally, I’m a Whole Foods/Fairway kinda gal, but when in Scarsdale… I would not recommend buying the bulk of your fresh fruits and veggies here. Peeped a bunch of strawberries for sale with visible mold on many fruits. That’s a problem. The cashiers are very effiicient and friendly, and the prices more than fair. They can keep their 3-star rating, but should really consider the appearance of their produce. Where are the pine nuts? Please DOBETTER!

My wife was due to give birth tonight. It didn’t happen. But we had a great first time experience at this TJ’s. Thanks employee Nick! No more trips to 72nd — we will definitely be back.

One of the cashiers was so nice and efficient. Helpful staff around the store too, even in the chaos of the last Saturday before Christmas.

I usually go to the trader joes on 14th or 72nd st in the city but I also frequent this one. It’s small and parking can be a hassle on the weekends(do NOT park across the street at the bank. The security guards are on the look out if you’re not a bank customer). It gets pretty crowded but I know where everything is already so I make my way around quickly so I can get out of there. I somehow get the same cashier 90% of the time. She’s very nice but she’s very talkative and I’m not always in the mood for a lengthy comment on all my products. Anyway, I love trader joes!

Clean store and friendly staff but I wish they would have longer expiration dates on their food.

Normally I shop Trader Joes on Mamaroneck or Darien, Harsdale. So this is my impression after only shopped here several times… Staffs are not nice as other stores. I don’t know why, but they sometimes yell or quarrel each other in front of customers, which made me very uncomfortable. Also the cashier did not care when she/he put things in the bag, so I found some of my foods were ruined when I checked them at home(like apples, soft cheese)

This isn’t the largest trader joes or even the best one by any means. Coming from New York City I found it very helpful and convenient that they offered free parking. The parking was a little difficult to get in and out of but just providing the lot was appreciated. I went on a Saturday and they were out of a few things I needed but that’s understandable on a weekend. The prices cannot be beat and I hardly had to wait in a long line to check out. The samples they offered sucked though. I wish trader joes would offer more vegetarian friendly samples.

One of my favorite grocery stores in the area! Friendly staff! Very interesting things to buy! Purchased the pumpkin soup today and it was divine! I love coming here

Obsessed with Trader Joe’s. I was expecting crazy high prices like most health food stores but that’s not the case at all. I can spend $ 30 and walk out with a bag or two full of stuff. Their granola is amazing, nonfat Greek yogurt for 99 cents, and soy mini ice cream sandwiches… can’t go wrong here. Plus the employees are always nice & really helpful. The only thing keeping them from 5 stars is the parking lot situation. It can take a good 5+ minutes just to get a spot. And the store is often crowded as well because it’s smaller than the others. Drawbacks aside, this store is the best!

This TJ’s is small and always jam packed. BUT I love Trader Joe’s and walking out with multiple bags of goodies and money left in my bank account. I skip the produce and meat here. I usually go for staples that I only get here– Almond Milk, frozen roasted corn, cheap cans of black beans, light beer, tortillas, goat cheese, chicken sausage in every flavor– the list goes on. One star off for being tiny and full of people all the time!

I enjoy shopping at Trader Joes for its variety of quality items. My only disappointment is that the produce is hit or miss — there are better places to shop for produce. Selection of quality meats and frozen items is terrific. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Parking can be a nightmare — the lot is nearly always full even when the store itself is not all that busy. I would recommend all of their frozen entrees, which run the gamut of American and International cuisine.

I love trader bob, but this location is one of the worst… same ranking as the one in Queenz. Parking is NIGHTMARE, store is situated so poorly, everything is unorganized. The only good thing is more of «crew» are cool. Other than that, I wouldn’t shop here unless I’m on the road heading to and from CT.
