Price Rite’s greatest feature is, as you guessed, its prices. It falls in the same price category as places like BJs and Sams Club, and their prices tend to be much lower than Price Chopper and Hannaford. There are downsides, however. Much of the time the store is very crowded, there can be a long wait at checkout, and it is a pain to get to from the Albany/Colonie Center area. Still, the prices warrant the gas and even the toll for the Thruway. My suggestion for their developers would be to build another store in the area around Colonie Center/Northway Mall area, perhaps in the old Barnes and Nobles building. With their prices you would probably see a line on Wolf Road waiting to get into the parking lot!!!
