Pizza and food are average at best but the service is HORRIBLE. The balding/bald kid behind the counter is always angry, often engaged in something way more important on his cell phone, and couldn’t string a friendly«may I help you» together to save his life. God forbid you have a question. I’ve seen him writhing in disgust when taking an order over the phone.

Not a fancy place at all but the pizza and food makes up for that! Usually I’m in and out. Sometimes I call in advance…

The pizza is okay. The people that work here are rude, short, and seemingly unwilling to put forth any effort toward customer service. This is the literal textbook definition of an average pizzeria with rude staff members. Come here if you don’t have the time to drive across town to Italian Village, where the pizza is better and the people are actually friendly.

Pizza is really good. Definitely the best in scotch plains. Chicken cheese steak is really good as well.

As Brooklyn transports we’re picky about pizza however Nunzios hits the mark– well made, tasted fresh and was a great slice!

Their pizza is by far the best in Scotch Plains. Not even the best by a little, but the best by a lot. This is where we should have gotten our dinner from tonight!!!

The plain, margarita, and veggie pizza is delicious, however stay away from the Sicilian. It was awful.

Not the nicest place on the block, out dated décor and basically we won’t come back! Sad, the pizza is good!

Their pizza is nothing special. Their guys are rude both on the phone and in person. I remember having a question and the guy seemed pissed off I was inquiring about his product. Clearly no customer service training, which is silly because pizza places are a dime a dozen in NJ. Why would I give my money to you after that? Ha. Pretty sure they broke my doorbell as well. The only plus is convenient location

Got their pizza and mozzarella sticks 3 weeks ago. Delivery was prompt and friendly. Food was good. Called today to try and have another good experience and was met with disappointment. I was referred to as «Honey» and curtly by someone a fraction of my age told that they don’t deliver that far – «not sure who took that order.» On Nunzio’s website, it specifically states that they will deliver within a 3 mile radius. I map quested our location and it is exactly 3.0 miles away. Called back to explain this to the same guy who called me «Honey» again and he argued again with me that he wouldn’t take the order because«it was too faraway.» Other reviewers indicated poor service at this establishment and this certainly confirms it for me. I will make sure to tell others not to patronize this business, since they seem so put out. I guess pizza is just pizza.

Pizza is ok, cheese was too stringy/chewy. I had a bad experience here with the guy(owner?) behind the counter. I ordered in advance over the phone to pick up and when I got there the guy said he had no record of my order. He acted like I was lying! Why would someone lie about ordering a pizza? He then said i would hVe to wait for him to make it(it was a plain large). I sat there for 25 min waiting for him to make another pizza. Why couldn’t he just give me one of the pizzas already made? THEY made the mistake not processing my order, but I had to pay for it by waiting. When I got the pizza I was so mad, I considered throwing it back at him. I will never ever step foot in this place again. The owner is a jerk.

I made my friend take me for pizza, because I can’t get good pizza in California. He takes me to Nunzio’s. The décor and the people are a little heavy on the«Good Fellas» kick. They’ve got pics of Donnie Brosco, the Sopranos, and Frank Sinatra on the wall. It’s one of those places where you ask a question and they answer with a question. You say, «How you doin’?» and they reply, «How you doin’?» Or you ask, «How much for a slice?» and they respond, «For a slice of pizza?» The pizza is to die for. Fugetaboutit. It comes hot, thin, and full of flavor. Sorry, Wolfgang Puck, but I dig on the east coast pizza better. There must be something special in the water. The inside of the restaurant is small and so are the booths. Probably better to get take out.

I grew up across the street from Nunzios. It has always been the one food I make sure to get when I come home to Scotch Plains. i still think they make the best pizza in Scotch Plains. Today, though, my family and I made the mistake of ordering some of their sandwiches. Out of four sandwiches, three were inedible. My father got a «Leave it to Ciro», which he liked quite a bit, but my mother’s, brother’s and my sandwiches were some of the worst food I’ve had from a restaurant that I can ever remember. We got an eggplant parm, chicken parm, and veal parm. All of them tasted old. Old old. The breading was slipping off of the chicken and the veal. The meat was overcooked and tough. The only flavor the food had was just bad. I don’t have many descriptive words besides unacceptably bad. I was so upset after the meal that I had to come and write this review. I can’t remember a time in the last few years that my pizza hasn’t been amazing, so that I’d have to give 5 stars, but these sandwiches were dreadful, and no restaurant should be allowed to serve food like that. Stick to pizza if you go here!

Horrible!!! Not sure what is worse the pizza or service. Never had any of their meals but the pizza is terrible. I would rather order from dominos.

Went there Friday night to pick up my pizza which I ordered 30 minutes earlier. It was ready. I thought that was a good sign. Wrong! I asked for the pie to be lightly cooked and when we got home and looked at the bottom it was burned. Not just fully cooked but burned so bad you couldn’t even eat 4 of the slices. I have had good pies from them in the past, but not sure if I will return as this is not the 1st time they have disappointed!

On second thought they’ve gone through several hands of ownership, and I think their quality has dropped accordingly. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 4.

I’ve been here a couple of times in the past. Love the food. However, today just made me think twice about being a return customer. I ordered a sicilian pie«the works» via their website. Even got a confirmation emails saying that they received the order. About 30 minutes later, I show up at the shop and they did not have the order. The guy behind the counter says, «yeah, the third party ordering site sucks.» Really? No apology and that’s all he said. I needed lunch so I ordered and had to wait for them to make it. Again, the food is great but why have a website where you can order that doesn’t take the order?

This is probably the best non-chain pizza joint in the area that’s open on Sundays. Keep in mind that’s not saying much, because most good pizza places here are closed on Sundays. It’s a small step above a Domino’s pizza — very small. For a sausage pie they even use the same deer-dropping sausage bits that Domino’s uses(apparently). Gross. On the plus side, the guy did have a football game on the little TV. On the minus side, he was so into it that when he cut our pie into 8 slices, some of them were gigantic and others were tiny. On a weekday there’s no way I come here. Even on a Sunday, I may have to seek out something better in the area. Feel free to shoot me a message if you know of one!

At the suggestion of my boss, I tried Nunzio’s and opted for the Philly Cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions. In short, I liked it. I had enough to bring home for a second meal. Also ordered four garlic knots, which were decent, though not the best I’ve had. Total came out to be $ 10 more or less. They also have a Wednesday family special that sounds like a pretty good deal: spaghetti for four, 8 meatballs, 12 garlic knots, and 2 liter soda for $ 19.99.
