This diner been around for generations. Old school décor, but you go for the food. This is a hit or miss depending on the cook on duty. Ordered Chicken franchise, had to have the sauce remade because it had no taste. Also ordered Chicken and shrimp parm, it was OK. Large portions. Depending on the day staff can be fast.

Good solid food every time. I love their eggs and the sausage they use. We frequent this place where we are in the area. I have liked everything I have ordered. They also make this salmon salad. That’s another favorite menu item of mine. Service is good. This is our favorite go to dinner in this area.

Had breakfast here on Mother’s Day… Needless to say we have tried to give this diner a shot more than a few times. It is always dirty! Very dirty! We were sat at our table and they forgot to give us place settings. They gave the kids place settings(we had to ask!) and forgot to give them crayons… No big deal, but then brought crayons over in a dirty sticky container covered in syrup! Then, there was open syrup and creamer on our table in the dish… Clearly didn’t clean up after the last table. Then they bring the kids a cup with no kid and our daughter spilled cranberry juice all over her lace shirt before we had a chance to stop her(not trying to be a jerk but honestly!) Then they got our food wrong… Over easy eggs… Brought them over medium! And how does a diner only ever have sugar and equal! Never Splenda or sweet n low? Honestly this place is simply the worst diner in NJ! We won’t be back… Unless you get new owners focused on customer experience

HORRIBLE!!! Food & managers. The service is ok. It was better when Joan was there. The burgers are so over cooked and the buns are soaked with grease. The french fries look like they were refried more than once and tasted like cardboard. What’s wrong with the heat? It was freezing in there. 2 words: STAYAWAY!

If I could give a zero rating I would. This has to be one of the worst diners in NJ. I had ordered chicken parm and the chicken had a fatty texture like a bad piece of steak. The dinner came with soup, salad, and desert. I sent the chicken back(after only a couple of bites) because it was so weird, and when we got the check I was shocked to see they charged me for the soup and salad. Who does that? I wouldn’t have had the soup and salad if it didn’t come with it. I didn’t even finish them because I was saving room for my dinner. I would have ordered something completely different. I was ill after I tried that alien piece of meat. The entire cost of the meal should have been removed. No one came over to discuss the issue and the waiter must have been on a depressant. He had no personality at all. When we went up to pay, I expected the owners/managers to ask, how was everything, and I was going to tell them, but they said nothing. This isn’t the first time we have had a bad meal there. The only reason we went was because all the other good eateries in the area were packed. We will never go back. I would rather stop at Burger King than have to go there again. Words to the wise. Stay away…

It’s an average diner, clean and the employees are friendly. Hubby decided to be spontaneous so we stopped there on my way home from work at 10:30pm. Hubby ordered the Mexicano burger with fries and I had a pesto chicken wrap with fries. They were both good but honestly my wrap tasted better the day after. I would go back for the wrap if I happened to be in the neighborhood. Decent menu, decent prices, and decent service.

Average diner. Nothing really outstanding here but nothing disappoints. The place is clean and decorated nice. Food is pretty consistently average. Management is friendly and the prices are decent. It’s the closest diner to my house and open all night so we go once or twice a month. I wouldn’t go out of my way though if I didn’t live so close. Stick with the typical diner fare and don’t try the more exotic dishes or you may be disappointed.

Falling to pieces over the years. I assume since the nightlife crowds are gone on weekends and the place is no longer packed on Friday and Saturday nights as I remember for 20+ years business has faded. Apparently the owner thought the way to make the money back is to raise the prices and shrink the choices on the menu. $ 12.95 for a chicken sandwich is wayyy to much. Increasing prices is a poor business decision that will end up hurting them in the long run. Make a few dollars more off of one customer but lose 20 in the process is just stupid.

The waitress completely ignored us, the bacon was so dry it was brittle, and the«western burger» the sandwich that only came with bbq and bacon didn’t even have bbq sauce. I’ve lived in new Jersey my entire life and diners are a common haunt; this is BYFAR the worst diner in nj. Need more perspective? It’s worse than Denny’s.

Was very upset. We ordered hamburgers and the waitress asked if we wanted«Fries» we said yes. When we got the bill there was an extra charge for the fries. Had the waitress had the sense to tell us, we never would have ordered them. We thought she would said«fries or lettuce and tomatoes», etc., Never ever said there was a charge. We had left them over anyway. Had we known we would have to pay, would have taken them home. Don’t like being taken like this. Eat out all the time and this first time this happened.

I ordered a chicken sandwich witch on there menu is 9.95 but when they called me back they told me $ 16.00. This is the second time they tried to scam me!!! They charged 2.00 for a tomato!!! A freaking tomato unreal!!! This is the last time me or ANY of my coworkers will ever order there again. DONOTWASTEURMONEY !!!

I’ve been here twice now and haven’t been fully satisfied on both occasions. I’ll tell you why. SERVICE: Subpar to OK. Coffee refills were on point so that was OK. It took a handful of minutes for the waitress to get to our table, then a handful of minutes to order our food. Myself and my friend had both ordered toast that was included with our meals. The waitress noticed when we didn’t receive the toast, and said she’d get some but never wound up bringing any. Welp. FOOD: OK It’s a diner, and I order breakfast. It’s pretty hard to screw that up. My(scrambled) eggs were significantly runny and under-cooked on the bottom side. If it’s an overeasy or sunnyside up I don’t mind the yolk running but not for scrambled eggs. And then there was a piece of bacon my friend ordered that was just a huge chunk or weird looking fat. That’s on the cook to throw that piece out if it’s one that’s not edible. Make a good judgement call there, buddy. PRICE Typical for a diner, it’s not one of the more expensive diners. Pretty much on point with the pricing. It’s not nearly the worst diner, but it’s not one that I would choose to be a frequent patron at.

Save your money and go to Subway across the road. One of the worst diners I have ever eaten. All dishes were overcooked or burnt. Grilled chicken was dry and rubbery. Corned beef was burnt. They even screwed up bacon omelette. Chicken tenders were decent. If you are not hungry and want to throw away money, this is the place to visit.

Bonus point for the awesome looks and jersey pride. My order had been placed incorrectly, I had ordered the Western chicken sandwich, and ended up getting a standard chicken sandwich. I told the waitress, and she corrected the problem without any hassle, which I really appreciated. Me and a friend split some disco fries, which I found to be just average. Overall, the food wasn’t bad. It seems like typical diner fare to me. I could’ve given it 2-stars because of the mishap, but I enjoyed the classic NJ-diner feel. and the service was very good. I still can’t believe how New Jersey this place is… I will try it again in the future.

Great service and a pretty good burger. I recommend the Scotchwood or the bacon blue. Seafood bisque soup is also a good choice. Prices were fair and the place was clean. Typical diner.

I don’t go to diners for seafood, steaks, meatloaf, triple decker sandwiches or mile high pies. For me, there is only one meal to be had-Lox and onion omelette, well done home fries and rye toast with a good cup of coffee. I’ve had this very same meal at dozens of diners throughout New Jersey. From the horrifically bad to mighty fine. The omelette and home fries here were terrific. The omelette was flavorful and the home fries were crisp. My son had some really good chicken and fries. Only downside was our server looked like she was bored out of her mind. No service with a smile for us. Nice diner. Glad we stopped by.

We had breakfast here a couple of months back and really liked this diner. Tonight, we went back and it was the complete opposite experience. The food was okay, albeit the onion rings which were the worst we have ever eaten. Ore Ida frozen onion rings would be considered far superior to these. The service was blah. A diner should not have to request more drinks when the server is at our table with empty glasses in view. I know this is no fault of the restaurant, but there was a table of extremely loud, rude, obnoxious diners that made our experience uncomfortable. We felt for the families with children having to listen to the 5 minute rant about«titties» and F bomb laced conversation. However, in further thought the mgmt could have asked the table to cool it. We will not be back.

If I could give them 3.5 Stars then I would. Food and service was good, but nothing special. I like how this place looks like a old school diner in every way. Such a huge selection of desserts, which we would have gotten some before we left. Came here with about 6 other people to have brunch before we left for the airport. We were seated pretty quickly, nice, friendly waitress. Everyones drinks came out quick too. The menu here is like a book, way too big, too much stuff to sort through. A lot of greek items, which is nice. Three of the guys got the California Burger($ 5.95), now being I was born and for the most part raised in CA, I was a little offended by the toppings… a bell pepper ring slice, a thin old, dry, carrot slice, a huge cucumber slice, tomato, onion, iceberg lettuce and a kalamata olive… there is literally no where in California that serves that combo of toppings on a burger. No where. The guys all took the toppings off the burger, it was still a huge and delicious looking burger. Cooked to order. The man got the Cordon Bleu Burger with Virginia Ham & Melted Swiss Cheese($ 7.35). He very much enjoyed his huge burger, looked really good. I got the Potato Pancakes with bacon, sour cream and applesauce from the specials menu. The bacon was crispy, the pancakes were dense but good. Not super hot but warm. The applesauce they serve with is sweetened… which I thought was odd but whatever. The kids cup had a picture on it that the seven year old who was with us thought was weird and she did not like it… we thought a little inappropriate for a childs cup. I like the style of the booths and the whole décor. All the desserts looked wonderful but we didn’t have any. There was a big cookie that came with the childs meal, it was HUGE, also stale… although she didn’t mind. If we come here again I will be sure to try the Greek food and lots of desserts.
