Love this place!!! I go there regularly for gel mani/pedi’s and they always do a great job! Everyone is very nice, and the prices are very reasonable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Excellent service at Ocean Spa! They take their time on your nails and pay attention to detail. I love getting designs, and they do amazing work with gel polish! The spa is always clean. They are under new ownership, and all of the staff are friendly. I won’t go anywhere else!

Ocean just brought in new management, and they have been great. The salon has a wide selection or both regular and gel polishes. Multiple mani/pedi stations with options from regular to deluxe services. The salon is located in a great area, so you can also grab lunch nearby. Definitely check them out!

I love my Shellac gel manicure done by T! He was great, attention to detail, very kind as well. Definitely recommend this place, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Next time I got to try pedi! I paid $ 30 and it included removal of my gel I had done elsewhere.

A relaxing environment, a great selection of colours, very comfortable seating, and T, my technician, did a wonderful job. I will definitely be going again and trying out other services.

Been here a lot over the years but not much in last year or two. Based on some reviews I wondered what happened. It’s still a great place to go and they did a great job. I would suspect someone left and followers of that person became passionate. Keith did my nails today and he was very pleasant professional and paid attention to detail. Also did not use a drill on my nails and instead had a nice non abrasive way to do manicure.

I was told this is a sister store and owned by the same people who own the salon by the same name on Cave Creek. The same gel service I regularly get over there cost almost $ 20 more. So if you have a choice go to the one on Cave Creek. Worth the gas money for sure. Personally I find this very unethical and lacks business savvy

They treat their employees terrible. I went there for years and will never go back. The husband and wife split up and everything was fine for a while, now the husband is back and it’s terrible. They lie to customers and tell them their techs aren’t there in an effort to break relationships and keep the clients. Would NEVER do business with this place. They are greedy and don’t care about anyone, their employees or their clients. STAYAWAY

I love Nina. She is always attentive to my needs. I always make an appointment for services. I have been coming here for about two years. I have also brought a male friend here for services. He was equally satisfied. I have had no problems with any of the services or people.

Very friendly staff. I got a pedicure and it was great. I got the basic one that lasts 30 min and is $ 25. Only thing that would have made my experience better would have been just a tad more of a massage. But I did get the basic. I’ll go back. :)

Cindy does an awesome job on my Gel Nails. I drive past at least 5 or 6 nails salons just to see her.

HORRIBLE!!! Do NOT come here. I am not high maintenance whatsoever so this comment is left without bias. I work close by and needed a quick polish change. I only had 45 minutes. I asked for cost, i was quoted $ 20 and told I would be out asap. It took the nail tech 1hr for a gel change. My results look as if a teenager trying to make extra money on the side completed the job. I have polish on my cuticles, top coat on my skin that is very annoying AND the kicker, i was charged an additional $ 5 to remove some existing gel even though I was not told of the extra cost prior AND I had already taken off half of the gel myself hence why I needed a polish change. HORRIBLE service, HORRIBLE results, and lied about the cost.

Very unhappy. From the moment I walked in(and yes, I had an appt) I felt like a burden to them. As I sat down and looked at the nail menu I pointed out what I would like and they said that it was wrong. The prices were higher. Probably should get new menus! The women were snippy with me and didn’t understand what I wanted. It actually hurt when she was doing my nails and they looked really thick and odd when done. I also said that I wanted them real short and she said«why Waste your money then». Wow, ok. I don’t think that is your business if I want to spend money on short nails. Won’t go back! Also, way too expensive especially for the service I received.

I have been coming to this nail salon for 2 years. They used to give the best pedicures and massages. There were the same technicians working and they were all friendly and professional. But in the last few months, the place has just gotten out of hand. The technicians are loud, rude, and unprofessional. The last one I had was cutting only half of my nail, then pulling the rest off! When I said it hurt and it started bleeding, she told me it was an ingrown nail. Now I’m a pharmacist and I know exactly what an ingrown toenail is and I did not have any. Also, one of the last time’s I was there, the owner’s brother had his Rottweiler puppy in the salon. While it was running around unsupervised, it peed and pooped on the floor! I know puppies have accidents, but that’s why they do not belong in a nail salon!!! I will be looking for a new salon. Save yourself the grief and move on too.

So– let’s start off by saying that this review is for everyone in the salon EXCEPTEDDIE. He is the only person at this salon worth going to. The rest-not worth it-JUST KEEPDRIVING. It’s amazing this place is still in business. There is zero customer service, multiple conversations going on infront of you, laughing and personal grooming by the manicurists. It’s beyond gross.(One of the manicurists was putting wart remover on while I was sitting there letting my nails dry). I realize this salon has it’s regulars. They know who to book and they get the right attention. I guess that’s why they keep coming back. Why else? It’s a shame there isn’t more competition in the shopping plaza. I am sure they would sharpen up immediately. But what do they care– it’s only their business. I think the hygiene part is the worst for me. Wait no, maybe it’s the fact that everyone is always speaking another language in front of you — constantly, and cackling. Or is it the laissez fair attitude? Zero concept of ‘service’ here. Everyone who actually works here is always busy on their mobile device, watching a movie, a soap opera, on the phone. Why even show up to work? Plus their nail polish display is a mess. Everytime i go, I tell myself THISISTHELASTTIME I am coming here. And you know what. it finally was the last time.

I just had a pedicure here, the staff are less than friendly and spoke to each other in Vietnamese the whole hour I was there. The massage that was part of the pedicure was nothing more than slapping some cream on my legs and feet. I did notice that other customers were getting a better massage. The foot bath was treated as a garbage can after my foot soak. Staff that weren’t working spent their time hunched over their phones or lap top. It was a very Unprofessional experience.

Where is Eddie or Eddy??? I will not come here any longer if Eddie is not available. To the point a rude service. Technician never looked me in the eye and was turned away from me joking and yakking it up with her colleagues. The place looked like a bomb went off. I have been getting decent to good service till now. But this will be the end if Eddy is not available. Also: everyone of the technicians picks up or checks their personal phone… While working on your feet or hands.

I have been looking for a place to get a pedicure in this area and based on a suggestion from a friend of a friend I tried this place. It very convenient since its close to work. The atmosphere is nice and what I expected for a north scottsdale salon. Unfortunately they make up for this with the most unfriendly nail tech I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet. She was unfriendly, jerked my foot through out the process, unhelpful as I asked questions about there salon, she did a decent job on the actual pedicure but she had the most dirty look on her face for that 45 min. Once she was done she just said your done and got up and left. Didn’t open the side of the chair, didn’t help me with my shoes which most salons do. Fortunately for me they couldn’t take gratuity on a card and I didn’t have cash so no tip for her. She didn’t deserve one but I would have still left her one if I could since I’m not a jerk. I do think that it’s possible that the other techs are better in customer service but its not worth it to me to try again.

PBelow average service. Had a pedi and while the polish looks good, the rest was sad. The young man who did it literally attacked me with cuticle nippers and nearly pecked me to bloody shreds. 4 hours later and I’m still stinging. Not much of a massage either. Then, for Mani, they left both me and my friend sitting in the pedi chair and proceeded to pull our arms out of our sockets. Won’t be back…

Moving from a much smaller city and always receiving excellent service from my nice and friendly manicurist This Place Was A Nighmare! Let me count the times I would book an appointment and wait a while before being assisted. I was practically forced to getting Gel nails from a non-friendly guy. This young fella cut my cuticles and they bled. He was so much in a hurry to finish that the tool he was using was burning through my nail. If I am going to pay for a pedicure and full set I expect my $ 70. to be worth it and each service to be done one at a time. This was my First time having a new set using gel. They came out deformed and rigid. The polish that was suppose to match my polish on my toes but it did not match and the polish kept bubbling up after being heated in this machine and he had to re-drill and repolish them. It’s was done 3 times and they still looked horrible. I asked if he could redo them with simple acrylic and/or take them off or give me a refund — And the Female Owner refused! It was the worst set of nails I have ever seen and my husband thought the same. I did give a *One Star for the kind lady, Ann, that did my pedicure. She was polite, friendly, kind and very very good at giving great pedi’s. She massaged each leg and took her time. She was the only kind person in the Salon that even smiled. Everyone looked like they were forced to work and very unhappy. I would highly suggest having a pedicure done by Ann. Most manicurists including the Owner were doing client’s nails while talking on the phone. I felt out of place and very uncomfortable. The Asian receptionist was rude and very moody and snippy. I asked that she charge my service on my credit card and add a 20% gratuity for Ann and she had advised me that it would be better if I paid with cash. I told her that I didn’t have enough cash for the Full service and she said that by «Law» they could not charge the gratuity onto my credit card? I was floored. As an attorney and have traveled many places on Vacay I had never in all my years had heard of this AZ Law? Could it be TRUE?! She made it a point to make herself clear and the Owner would not allow her to charge my credit card for the gratuity charges. Thank goodness there is a BofA next door in Grayhawk, in which I now reside, to get additional cash. The entire Debackle was ridiculous and a waste of my time. A total of 2.75 hours for a set of nails and pedicure. Lastly, I went the next day to the McDowell Mountain Salon by Target on Frank Lloyd Wright and spoke with Lynn. She took about an hour to chip, peel and grind my gel nails off — even Lynn believed it was not gel that was used? It was painful and the entire process took another hour to replace the set with a full set of acrylic. It was worth it! They look Great and the cost was more manageable than Ocean Spa. The Salon was filled with nice and courteous people and their rock massage pedicures are to die for… I have found my new and friendly manicurist and grateful she took the time needed to correct this horrible mess. I will NEVEREVER take one step into the Ocean Nail Spa if it were the last Spa in town. The Owner should take a customer service skills class and offer classes on gel nails to her incompetent nail techs. Also, lying about the Laws of this State is a violation. I have reported this Salon regarding the cash issue and the gel tech that had no clue about how to apply gel nails. I would never want any other person to endure this type of treatment while having to pay for such Terrible service. It’s unfortunate to live in a such a great and beautiful community in Grawhawk and unable to utilize this Salon. I would suggest taking your money, and spend it with a Salon that cares about their clients and is courteous and competent. Thank you for your time!
