We did a stay cation on Thursday and Friday Night. Our room was newly remodeled and just beautiful and nice and large too We used the pool and oversized Hot Tub for 3 days straight. The staff was top notch as well I highly recommend the Scottsdale Plaza Hotel

Overall it was a very pleasant three day experience, and, the food at Remingtons was exceptional. Small concerns that detract are the styrofoam coffee cups in the room – odd and inconsistent for such a posh resort. And, there was wine for purchase in the room with no wine glasses – ? Finally, nowhere in the room or hotel was there a suggestion to be cautious with water use, unlike the other places we stayed in Fountain Hills and Sedona, Arizona. Western states are experiencing a serious drought and this should be addressed by a responsible business that could make a difference.

Service was great from when I walked through the front door! They asked why we were at the resort and upgraded our room when they found out it was our anniversary! The room was beautiful and spacious! Beds were comfy! The pools were beautiful and not over crowded like most resorts! When we found out this was not a chain resort we were even more excited to plant our return trip! Thank you for the wonderful experience we will be back for sure!

We loved this place! It is a beautiful resort with wonderful amenities. We really enjoyed the different pools and jacuzzis. The main pool was huge and had the biggest jacuzzi I have ever seen in my life, it easily could have fit 100 people. There was also a courtyard pool that our room over looked that was extremely quiet and relaxing. The service here was great and we really enjoyed our multi level room. It came with 2 huge bathrooms that each had showers and a nice soaking tub. They patio was a good size and had a table with chairs for lounging at. We also had a fireplace in our room that was very charming. One of the best features was the nice sized wet bar area with a decent sized mini fridge. Another really nice feature was the firepits on the property to have a drink by or eat dinner at. Overall this resort was very beautiful and we can’t wait to go back. It is just close enough to Old Town Scottsdale if you want great nightlife but a few minutes away in über in case you want a nice quiet resort.

The room was quite large. It has clearly been updated some, but was not fancy by any means. Basic, but clean, which matters a lot to me, and with a coffee pot and iron, both of which I needed and appreciated. I would probably consider it a 3 star room. The property is nice, and the pools were pretty nice, but not over the top. We wanted to find a hot tub on the property not packed with children one evening, and we did, but all the way across the property, a fairly long walk. The price was pretty reasonable. If I had paid more, I would have given it a lower rating, but it is in a nice area of town with comfortable pillows. There was some confusion regarding billing. We were traveling with family, and their room was first billed to our card, so we went down to clear it up and have the rooms billed separately. She was friendly and said she took care of it, and we double checked when we checked out, but then a few days later noticed our card had been billed again. I highly recommend checking carefully to make sure the bill is correct when you stay here.

Nice shower, closet, bed, and robes, but the walls here are PAPERTHIN. The person upstairs sounds like a heard of elephants. If they drop something it makes THELOUDESTSOUND. What a NIGHTMARE. RESORT you say? More like the HoJo. Search elsewhere for your peaceful resort getaway. Ok so I have to edit this review. I finally got fed up w/the elephants and called the front desk. They RAPIDLY moved me(and very graciously I might add) to a top floor room. Along the way I bumped me knee hard into a bolt on the golf cart and the bellman quickly called security who came over just as fast to apply antibiotic ointment, wrap my knee w/a bandage, and gave me an ice pack. This sort of service begs me to retract my previous review. I kindly thank the staff at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort. I would come back again. However I will request a top floor room. To those in charge: Do something about the flooring in the top floor rooms so folks underneath can actually enjoy their stay. ;)

Villa Pool is like a private oasis. Rema at salon gave my hair a much needed make over the day I arrived, right off the plane– felt like a movie star all weekend! Will return again for a private retreat from my busy home life.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful when I checked in. It didn’t take to long. Check out was also pretty fast. I purchased my tickets on Hotwire, but if you don’t, I over heard you will be charged a $ 25 resort fee a day too. In my opinion this isn’t a 4 star hotel. It had an old school flat screen with no HDMI out on it. I have been to many 4 star hotels in the last few weeks and most gave me 2HDMI outs. I was not able to hook up my Ipad or computer to the TV like I do at every hotel. The bed was very stiff and the room itself was just ok. They did some nice renovations in the bathroom, and the shower was really nice. They need to do more work upgrading the room itself, starting with the TV. I will find another hotel next time I need one over in that area.

The hubs and I visited Scottsdale for a long weekend(Thursday-Sunday) while apartment hunting and the Scottsdale Plaza Resort was our Priceline«unknown» hotel… and we were NOT disappointed. We were able to check-in early as our flight landed at 9:00am. The bed was comfortable, bedding warm, AC worked like a charm, water pressure in the shower couldn’t have been better and the water warmed up and stayed warm at all times. Who could ask for more??? Alright, so we also went to the lounge and had had appetizers and drinks one of the days. The kitchen was quick to get our food out and far tastier than expected. We(the hubs and I) actually wish we would have eaten there sooner so we could have given it a second chance but we ran out of time. To get to the center of Old Town it was less than a 10 minute drive and only a $ 10 Über ride if that’s important to you. While we were here there was also a conference of some sort(a big conference) and we never felt in the way or annoyed. The logistics were great for guests who were not attendees. Long story not short, we would stay here again(that is if we didn’t move just up the road) as well as recommend it to friends/family.

While this place is quite beautiful and clean, it would not be a place I would ever come back. 2 room suite 1. Lights in the wetbar and sitting area didn’t work. 2. Staff had a towel room that butted up to the HEAD of the bed. At 9am they started making all kinds of noise and sounded like they were pounding hammers on the wall. 3. My husband stepped out. The maid at 9:15am opens the door and yells housekeeping never gave me time to even respond to a knock at the door. Check out is NOON!!! 4. Called to desk to ask them to do something about the noise. 15 min later they call the room back stating they are sending security to check it out. My husband then explains that it was staff as he walked out there to see what the noise was. 5. The only digital channels that worked were two kids channels and several sports channels. And even those didn’t work as the signal was so bad. Most of the channels said no signal. Definitely not someplace I will recommend our company come back to. We came for a big event and had a lot of rooms.

Gorgeous property, but the attempted scam that they TRIED with me is enough to 1, give it a 1 star and 2, NEVER return. I stayed at this property for 3 days. Upon checkout they told me I had a zero balance. 3 days later i checked my account & had a $ 39 charge from them. I called and they told me it was from the security department. At this point I’m totally lost. Security proceeds to tell me that upon checkout they noticed«traces of blood» on the sheet(I had cut myself while shaving my legs prior to checking out that morning, & apparently a couple drops of blood got on the sheet) and that they had to discard of the sheet so I was getting charged for the discarding fee of $ 17.50 plus the cost of the sheet. I couldn’t believe my ears. I have traveled extensively throughout the country & have stayed in nicer hotels than this and have never heard of something so absurd in my life. My mother works for a large hotel chain and even she was shocked. I contacted the front desk asking to speak to the GM and got put thru to Travis who is the director of rooms, NOT the GM. Travis tells me that the«trace of blood» on the sheets is considered damage to the room. Lol. I asked him to please email me a copy of the damage policy/waiver that I sign upon check in. He said he would & that he would reverse the charges as I made it clear that I was going to pursue with reviews. At this point it’s not about the measly $ 39 but the principle. I said what if I started my cycle in the middle of night, you’re going to charge me for an accidental bleed, he said yes as it is considered damage to the room. Travis has yet to send me the damage policy that I requested showing what damages include and/or are not limited to. Instead he attempted to «summarize»(in his words) what«damage» means to him & the property. I’ve requested the damage policy at least 5x and have yet to receive it. Ladies, beware, if you choose to stay at this property, make sure you aren’t on your cycle, won’t start your cycle, don’t cut yourself while shaving, or nothing that includes a chance of a «trace of blood» getting on a towel or sheet otherwise you will be charged $ 39. I will spend $ 1000 at another property before I will spend $ 100 with them ever again.

Not impressed with this hotel. When I think of a resort in Scottsdale, I think of a beautiful hotel with lots of resort amenities(I mean that’s why you pay the extra 30.00 + for a resort fee). The hotel is very very old. It could use some remodeling but if not at least make the room more comfortable. The room we had was VERY small with little to no space to move around and was all the way at the end of the hotel. The parking lot is free which is a plus and you can find the hotel on Hotwire for pretty cheap! The location is great and is in a safe environment. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel but the staff was very friendly and ready to help.

This is definitely not a luxury hotel but I knew that when I made our reservations on . I wanted something that was above average but not crazy in price. We stayed for two nights and we were pleased with our experience. This place satisfied what we needed for our weekend trip… namely, a spacious and clean room in a great neighborhood. We were in a recently renovated room according to the front desk and it did have a flat screen tv mounted on the wall and the bathroom had modern looking shower, fixtures, wardrobe and floors. Parking is super convenient here because of the layout of the hotel itself. You basically get to park a short walk from your room. The staff we interacted with were friendly. I ordered room service once and it came faster than they had said(10 minutes instead of 20) and was decently priced. Again, not a luxury resort but I wasn’t expecting that since I didn’t want to pay $ 200-$ 300+ a night. For the price, Scottsdale Plaza Resort is an above average choice if you want to stay in a nice, safe neighborhood. We would stay again for the same price point.

I give it 10 stars. Is very quiet and seclusion. My husband told them it was our anniversary and they automatically up graded us to a king size bed room. There was flowers and balloons set up for me when I walked in(my husband said said they were super helpful and flexible on what he wanted for the flowers). We have no complaints.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was ok. Big but not functional. Not much privacy as no door in the bathroom except the door to the shower. The worst thing was we found blood stains on the sheet. Called the front desk and 30 mins later the security guard came and confirmed that it was blood. But then another 10 mins later the Evs supervisor came and said that was not blood?! It was only purple stains? She asked us to change room(10pm and kids were all tired). They said they will tell supervisor but by the time we left the hotel, no apology. We swam at night with the kids, the main pool has poor light and so it was hard to see. Not the same as shown on the website. The hotel is not four stars as stated. I would only give 2.5 stars. It is more like a motel.

I hadn’t stayed here in a while. It used to be a mainstay when I first moved here more than a quarter of century ago but now there are better places for around the same cost. My family and I ended up here this past weekend as a result of a Priceline. Instead of bidding I took a leap of faith on one of their blind offerings for a 4 Star resort. For starters, I no longer regard the SPR as 4 Star. It’s more like a 3.5 at best. It’s old, a bit tired looking and in need of a facelift and perhaps an image lift. I will say that I was VERY pleased with the fact that the front desk upgraded us to a 2 level casita or villa in lieu of a single room with two beds. Had it not been for this upgrade I suppose my rating would have only been 3 stars. The villa was very nice and clean. We didn’t have any time to use any of the property amenities like the pool or work out room due to our tight schedule. Overall this was a pleasing enough experience although it ended up costing just under $ 100 for the night which is quite high for the peak of summer. Priceline has instituted a $ 23 a night hotel fee which adds a lot to a $ 59 a night room plus tax and Priceline’s usual booking fee.

I always laughed at reviews that stated«if I could give this place zero(or negative) stars, I would». Ashamed and humbled, I am forced to say the same about this«resort». Not wanting to be needlessly harsh, I overlooked the facts that the room was dated and had a stale smell, and that the toiletries were never replenished throughout my stay. However, on the last day of my stay, I was in my room, leading a very important conference call. I had put up the sign on the door that said«Shhh… do not disturb». Despite this, ten minutes into my conference call, Housekeeping came along and started banging relentlessly on the door. It was mortifying to have to place all of the participants on my conference call on hold to respond to Housekeeping. The«resort» boasts of a fitness center that has separate sections for cardio and weight training, but both sections are shamefully ill-equipped. It was a pretty easy decision that I would never set foot on this property, ever again.

I booked this hotel through Priceline for my one year wedding anniversary and was really happy to have gotten a «4 star hotel» for $ 100 a night. Unfortunately, after researching reviews on this hotel I found that google reviews, Unilocal and trip advisor had this hotel listed as a 3 star hotel with many recent reviews mentioning bugs in the hotel. I immediately had a small panic attack and tried to cancel or move my hotel stay to another hotel. I am terrified of bugs and did not want this incorrectly rated hotel to ruin my special day. I contacted priceline who placed me on hold and when they came back on the line said they called the hotel to verify they did not have bugs. Basically I was stuck with this reservation. Anyway, I stayed at the hotel and paid an additional $ 50 when we checked in to upgrade to the suite in hopes that the room would be nicer(ie bug free). When we checked in the room was a little dated and there was a flying insect in the room but all in all it seemed decent — not 4 stars — but doable since we weren’t going to be in the room much anyway and didn’t want to just be out the $ 150 we ended up paying to stay there. My husband and I went out and had an awesome anniversary — came back and went to sleep with no issues. However, the next morning while we were getting ready for brunch I was leaning in close to the mirror to do my make up a spider crawled right by my face and into the closet where I assume it lives along with the other insects we ended up seeing that morning. I immediately rethought everything I had done that morning. Did anything crawl into my clothes I laid out to wear that day? Had anything gotten into my purse that had sat open? I immediately broke into hives and was itchy at the thought and almost left everything I had brought behind. So although this hotel did not ruin my anniversary night — it did ruin my anniversary brunch and the rest of my weekend. Unpacking my suitcase and even just reaching into my purse the following days was horrifying. I wish priceline would have understood my very real fear of insects and at least tried to work with me. Lesson learned — priceline does not care about its customers and always check Unilocal reviews before you book your hotel . Dont stay here if you are also terrified of bugs

I didn’t book this. If I had I would have read the Unilocal reviews which are all accurate! Priceline gave this a 4 star rating. Our previous 4 star booking through Priceline was at least one star greater than this. FAIL. Looks cool from the outside, very deceiving. Feels like a large motel. The minute you open the room door it has that old hotel stench. We had to buy a glade candle just to withstand it. The walls are paper thin. One evening we are trying to keep our voices down knowing we can hear the entire conversations of the room adjacent. The next day we are battling the television volume so we can hear our show over the fiesta music next door. The robes were stained. The bathroom is old and yellow. The bed isn’t comfortable. The one plus are the super hot jacuzzis Open 24⁄7. I would try elsewhere.
