I was referred to Kimberly of Elite Tailors from a buddy. I like to support our local businesses. I only had suit pants that needed to be brought in. During the fitting she seemed quite knowledgeable. Two days later they were ready and everything was fitted perfectly. She is a little pricey if you ask me. But she did a good job.

No stars would have been a better choice. TWOWEEKSANDNOTHINGTOSHOWFOR. As a small time designer who designs bridesmaid dresses, I subcontracted out this lady at Elite Tailor. I found her on Craigslist. Should have figured she was crap if she was trying to find business on Craigslist.(But I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.) Anyway, I had cutouts and materials ready for the damn lady to sew together. The instructions were clear. Turns out, she sent it off to a lady in BOLSA to sew it for her… So I had to drive all the way to Bolsa to pick it up instead. Sure enough, the damn lady in Bolsa wasn’t clear on the instruction so she didn’t even sew it. So pretty much the dresses I sent off to get sewn were still exactly the same way as when I dropped them off. What the fuck. Waste of time. 2WEEKSFORNOTHING. FUCKINGTERRIBLE. NEVERAGAIN.

First off, they charged me $ 70 to have a suit tailored, 10 for the hem, 25 to let the waist out, and 35 to have the jacket sleeves shortened. Which is very pricey to begin with, but they were close to my office so I figured I’d give it a shot for the convenience. After a week my suit was finally ready. When I showed up to pick it up, I noticed that since they removed the button holes on the cuffs it had damaged the fabric. On top of that, they never bothered to replace the buttonholes and just sewed the buttons directly onto the fabric, pretty ½ assed in my opinion. I will say that she offered to «fix» it for an additional $ 10, but I wasn’t interested in having them potentially screw it up worse. The sewing is mediocre at best, and had the suit been more expensive, I probably would’ve really been pissed. From now on I’ll stick to my tailor in downtown LA, who’s ½ the price, twice as fast, and actually does good work.
