It was completely dead when I came in, but the service was quick and polite. My pad kee mao wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped it would be, but wasn’t bad for gringo spicy. The thai coffee wasn’t as sweet as other restaurants, a welcome change. It wasn’t bad, just not memorable– not the first place I would choose, but an option if one of the half dozen Thai places within three blocks weren’t available. There seemed to be a few delivery orders, so maybe that’s where a good amount of their business is going to.

The food was not toooooo bad. It was just, ok. The spring rolls were these mini ones. They reminded me of the ones you can get from the costco freezer. However, they tasted awesome with the sweet and sour sauce. Without the sauce, the were pretty bland. I placed my order for delivery to my home and made some requests. ONEINPATICULAR– NOTOFU!!! Guess what was in my food, when my hungry ass went to atttack the meal?(i was super super hungry) tons of TUFU!!! So not good. Destroyed the meal for me. However, i made due with the awesome sweet and sour sauce. I even ate it with my clalmari!!! Maybe i Will give theplace another chance in the future.

A third Thai restaurant in that same place? Seems a bit risky, huh? We were walking down Broadway deciding where to eat. The place was absolutely empty. The menu sounded good. It was warm in there. They really need AC. There were some vents in the ceiling, not sure if they have it and it’s down or what the case was. We were a little disappointed they didn’t have a liquor license yet… Water it is! We got a chicken pad thai and basil chicken with some brown rice. Both solid choices. Regular sized portions, like in any other Thai place. Very yummy rice. This place has charm. The guy serving our table, who I believe is also the owner was extremely sweet. The combination of warmth and 3* spice made me sweat. He propped the door open for me. He had a nice and honest smile. It was just a very pleasant experience. I hope they smooth out their kinks and their business picks up soon. It has great potential!

This place was OK. I was a little unsure at first since there was no one sitting the in the restaurant when my bf and I walked in. The #1 rule I’ve always been taught with dining is if no one is in the restaurant-be weary. However, I thought the service was really good, very attentive. We had the chicken yellow curry and the beef sweet and sour. The chicken yellow curry was not bad, I would have liked a little more of the coconut milk flavor(tasted a little too much potato), and the sweet and sour was OK as well. I may stop by again if I do not feel like fussing with the waiting in line of a restaurant and want a quiet, thai night. This place offers DELIVERY, which is a plus – the other thai places on Broadway do not deliver. I would order delivery from here.

Delicious food, charming family. My GF and I were shopping for a French maid outfit next door when we saw the newest Thai restaurant. We were immediately welcomed by the owner. Vegetarian spring rolls, phad thai and curried salmon were all so good. We took home the remaining sauces and noodles for the next day. We will definitely go again.

i wondered what happened to jup jup… but hey i’m glad they’re gone because the old waitress was unprofessional. this time they have a nice little cutie waitress who gave me free thai tea when i ordered beef larb to go, which was quite delicious with their extra onions and surprising they gave rice on the box! the prices are a bit pricey though compare to the other thai places around the broadway area. i say around 9 – 12 bucks average per plate. one day, i was on my to the bus stop, but a bird decided to shit on my head(this happened like the 2nd time after a recent fresh cut) and i was like FML. i scouted around the area for a restroom and that artid siam is the closest spot and i asked the cutie waitress if i could use the restroom and she said sure go ahead and i washed the black shit off. i felt better and i gave her a little tip. i’ll never forget her for her generosity of helping a poor asian man who got shitted on

Friday night. 8 o’clock. The streets are bustling with hipsters and homeless people. But in Artid Siam Thai there’s not a soul in sight. We were almost the sole table dining the entire time we were there. But you know what? Unlike other places where this would have resulted in an extremely awkward dining experience, it was actually kind of cozy.(Except for the 89.5 playing in the background …) Plus, the food was pretty darn good! We got calamari for our appetizer. A bit heavy on the batter and too small a portion for the price, but tasty with a very good sweet chili sauce. For entrees we got pad thai and curry fried rice with prawns. Both came beautifully presented, good-sized portions, and with great flavor — one savory, one sweet. For dessert, we got the black rice pudding and the coconut ice cream. I loved the black rice pudding — it was addictive. The coconut ice cream was okay — texture was bit like shaved ice — but the flavor was good and it had crushed peanuts sprinkled on top, which was a nice touch. The restaurant’s got a lot of competition in this area but it deserves a chance. I hope the next time we visit, it will have attracted more patrons!

I’ve been here since 2008, and I got to say that this(Artid Siam) is nothing compared to it’s predecessors(Chili Basil and JupJupJup). Food tastes OK, not too good, not too bad and not too much. I went here for a Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. The Thai ice tea is below average in terms of taste and its too sweet. Next is the black rice pudding… it tasted like they used days old rice and a few weeks old cream/milk for it. Minimum sweetness, medium bitterness, maximum not-tasty-ness. Now for the actual reason of the 2 stars. They don’t give u a lot for the price they charge. I got more for the price I paid when Jup Jup Jup was here… actually I got more for less $$. Trust me, they are going to go out of business within a year if they don’t either change the cook or change the prices or both… SOON!

«Hey, look! Another Thai spot in that location! Let’s check it out!» We were pretty hungry, so we ordered the fried crab wontons with cream cheese, the Phad Thai chicken, and the mixed seafood salad. The appetizer was QUITE tasty and I enjoyed the sweet sauce, but I couldn’t eat more than a couple of them because the cream cheese made this a very rich appetizer. I tried only a bite of the Phad Thai, but it tasted as disappointing as it looked. There was an interesting spice that I’m not used to on it, but otherwise it was pretty bland. And overcooked. I absolutely *love* Phad Thai and many people base their initial opinions of Thai restaurants on their PT, so I was sad to see that theirs was so… not good.(Thankfully I’m… usually… not one of those people.) The the seafood salad, however, was absolutely fabulous and they gave us free«grand opening» Thai Iced Teas that happened to be the first Thai Iced Teas that I have enjoyed. Hurrah! Also: The waitress recommended getting some rice(brown is an option!) with the salad, so I did. Stupid idea! The salad and appetizer left me very full, and the rice was just not necessary.
