It honestly surprises me that anyone would rate this place a 5. I work next door and have given them a few chances. Each time I go, I try something new, taking into consideration maybe I just didn’t like that dish. Nope. It’s all bad. My chicken tastes like the color grey and today my rice was soggy and mushy. The man seated at the table next to me was brought his order and it was incorrect. He told the server it wasn’t right and instead of offering to fix it, she suggested that he should just eat it anyway. She kept insisting and finally the guy just took it. Only thing I’ve ever kind of enjoyed here was the sushi.

Great restaurant, great food, and great people… what can you ask for more? Interior has clean modern look equipped with well lit menu board that actually makes me want to read. Atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting, you should try this place.

They little lady at the counter says«hi-yo» every time you come in and it’s fuckin adorable! The food here is awesome and way more than just your average teriyaki joint. Huge selection and decent prices especially for being in Seattle. Free miso if you dine in too! I recommend the shit outta this place!

Don’t get the salads. They fuck you over with like 3 prices of tuna, or chicken. Fuck your salads! I have been coming here for a year. This is how you treat your customers? Literally $ 7 for a $ 2 cost meal. Salad costs nothing. Fuck your tuna!

Pretty decent Asian-themed food, clean store, generous free tea and miso soup and efficient service. The bento my gal ordered included General Tso Chicken, California Roll, Tempura Prawn & Veg and salad. I had the Bibimbap, and we got an Eel Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll too, for good measure. There were hits and misses. The horrible«New Country» music, huge miss. Hopefully it’s not a regular thing. While the bento was plated attractively and served expediently, the chicken was over-sauced, over-breaded, and contained that deplorable previously-frozen pea and carrot cube mix, like that used in school lunches. Blech! But the tempura was very good, and the rest of the plate was flavorful and well executed. My Bibimbop was yummy, if not very authentic. It was served in a hot bowl, but the bowl was not hot enough to brown the rice, as is traditional. The marinade on the meat was too sweet and not very Korean to my taste, and I had to order kimchee on the side($ 3.25) to get the flavor right, but over-all quite satisfying. The rolls… well, it’s a concept I understand. They pre-make batches of California rolls and store them at the prep station, then when somebody orders one of the specialty rolls, they grab one and put different ingredients on top to complete the roll. My Eel Roll was a California roll with eel on top. The spicy tuna roll is a California roll with spicy tuna on top. Etcetera. Now, their California roll IS exceptionally good, so don’t be dismayed. It did go really well with the eel, but not so much with the tuna. It’s done this way to facilitate fast service, and it’s not a bad system, but not everyone’s cup of Krab, if you dig. All in all, better than most fast service Asian in the area(Sodo) and not as good as similar foods a short drive away in the ID. I may not rush to get there, but I’ll be back!

Love this place for lunch. I’ve had a couple of the bento boxes, udon soup, and california roll. Good food, good price and quick service. Hard to beat for a delicious lunch that won’t break the bank.

Stopped in today on the way to Costco, feeling a little harried and a lot hungry. I was expecting a standard Maki-Yaki shop, so was overwhelmed by the expansive menu that includes Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes. I ordered a Cali roll and spicy tuna roll. They were okay, I was surprised to realize all the rolls are California rolls topped with some sauce, as was the case with the spicy tuna. Not bad, but not really what I wanted. I will return to try out more of the menu, but for now I remain skeptical.

I came here for lunch since I passed by it almost everyday. It looks like a somewhat new restaurant. The place was very clean as well. I ordered the chicken and chicken katsu combo. They have all you can eat miso soup for everyone that orders something. My meal was very delicious. I was very satisfied and will definitely be back.

Ok nothing fancy… Service not as good. Ordered teriyaki with beef. Portions are small and the lady at the front is a little intense.

Not bad nor great. I like the free miso soup while you wait. The Sriracha bottles on the table do not contain Sriracha. Décor is nice, ambience is loud. Good for a quick bite

Had a craving for Phad Thai. All you could taste is hot pepper and oil. Absolutely no flavor. And what is with all of the green peppers and mushrooms? Yuk!

Great food and fast service even during the lunch rush. No more costco food court for me. Plus, free miso soup is a nice touch.

Great spot for lunch. Fast and friendly. Tasty and affordable. If you’re looking for Sushi or Teriyaki this is place definitely belongs on your list if you’re in the SODO/Georgetown area.

Yes, I am a fan of their $ 5 chicken bowls. It’s big enough to satisfy my boyfriend’s hunger, especially with their free miso soup offering. The restaurant has simple décor and it’s clean. Great for a quick meal. They also have sushi rolls, but it(we got spicy tuna roll) was subpar. We come here for the chicken teriyaki and sometimes bibimbap.

I hate writing a bad review for this place because I absolutely love their teriyaki chicken. However a couple days ago I got food poisoning after eating here, which resulted in hours upon hours of excruciating stomach pain. It was so bad that I almost had to cancel my trip to the east coast the next day. Although my good experiences far outweighed my one bad experience, this is no excuse for any restaurant to serve undercooked food. Like I mentioned earlier, I do really enjoy the food here, especially the teriyaki chicken. The portions have always been big enough to fill me up. Also, there’s a free soup area where you can get refillable bowls of miso. The lady at the register is super friendly and she even remembers what I normally order!

Every now and then I’m completely surprised. This is one of those places that has a multi-asian menu; a little japanese, a little Korean, and some Chinese. This Jack of All Trades approach is often a recipe for disaster with nothing being quite a standout. But the food here is good. The Spicy Chicken Terriyaki really is spicy. I had a Crunchy Roll that wasn’t amazing, but was decent. We also ordered Bi Bim Bap which was okay but didn’t have a nice crust on the rice. The free Miso is a nice touch and the dining room is pleasant, though they have 3 or 4 different kinds of lighting which is a little much. The food is fresh, fast and tasty and the service is quick quick. I’ll be adding this to my «don’t know what to do for dinner» rotation.

Little gem. It’s higher quality and fresh. Clean and well kept. I’ve tried several things on the menu and I’m always happy. If you sit there you get all the free miso you want. Above all I’m a fan of the price, $ 7 for teriyaki is great for Seattle. I’m also a fan of their brown rice option. Win. I LOVE the Curry Fried Rice. It’s got a little kick, and it’s a hugeeeee portion. I guess my ONLY complaint is that it does get really busy around lunch time(for good reason), and every once in awhile I find that it’s slightly oily. But really… when you’re going to a teriyaki joint, «health» is not really a top concern.

Free parking and free miso soup if you dine-in. Good: The Teriyaki is delicious — we get ours without sauce to be healthier, plus their chicken is already seasoned well. If you want a smaller, cheaper option, their chicken rice bowl is the find of the decade at just $ 5 for a complete lunch — you can’t go wrong! Meh: Pass on their bibimbop — it tastes assembeled if that makes sense at all — also no stone pot so it is basically a glorified rice bowl. Also, their sushi is very average — somewhat dense wet rice and not very flavorful. This place is closer to a 3 if you venture outside of their chicken dishes.

We went to Asia Ginger Teriyaki & Roll after work one day while in Seattle. I was trying to introduce a friend of mine to Korean food and Bim Bim Bop specifically. When came her because they got good reviews and it was listed in Unilocal as Korean. After we ordered we were talking to the lady and she explained that Korean is not really their specialty. They are much more into the Teriyaki, which I guess I should have connected the dots before visiting based on the name. Sometimes I guess I follow my fellow Unilocalers blindly and do not think as much as I should. We got out Bim Bim Bop and it was good, however it seemed to be missing some of the traditional elements that I am used to when I go and have Korean food. The hot sauce was good, but I had to add a lot of it to get the flavor profile I was seeking. So for today, I give this restaurant three stars as a Korean restaurant. When I have the opportunity to return, I will definitely try their Teriyaki and hopefully be able to award them a fourth star at that time.

First time here, I tried and loved the salmon teriyaki, and appreciated the fact that the plate wasn’t loaded with tons of rice, and that the salmon portion was a good size. Second trip, came along to keep a co-worker company and wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered sushi… and well, my reaction was«not so much»…the presentation was a little too clunky for my taste… so I think I’ll just stick with the delicious teriyaki in the future!
