Stopped in for a quick drink with some friends. Awesome variety, local selection, and super duper dog friendly. I will definitely be back!

Classic neighborhood beer hall. Great place to watch a ballgame, projected on the wall. Dogs welcome. Had a fun evening with some friends.

I’d say 3.5 stars. Huge beer hall type atmosphere with solid local and guest taps and a great bottle and can selection. I’m not sure why this isn’t more popular. No kids allowed which could be why some don’t come. Good spot to grab a pint before or after a movie next door.

Loved this place. It felt low key(at least in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday) and hassle-free. They have a nice selection of beer on tap, and they offer flights so you can try a bunch out as well. A couple of beer fridges line the wall to your left upon entering, and is neatly organized by style. It isn’t nearly as comprehensive as Chuck’s or anything, but you may find a nice treasure or two. or four. We ended up getting some cans of Destihl Wild Sour to bring home to our friends, but only after enjoying one for ourselves on the premises first. They have tons of huge tables and high tops, and the place felt really spacious. The guy working was friendly and we just really enjoyed the overall easy-going vibe this place had. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking to push the pause button on life to just enjoy a beer in peace with some good company.

This was the second stop of hopping around with a group of 6. This place is sweet. They have a pretty good selection on tap and a good price for flights. Kind of reminds me of some spots in Portland. Anyway, decided to order a flight and share with the lady. Can’t really remember what I ordered but I remembered they were all pretty tasty. There were 2 ciders I believe, plum sour and pomegranate and the rest I don’t recall… They have a variety pf board games(we played Jenga, which is always fun, but even more so when you’re drinking) and a wall of brews sitting in the fridge awaiting to be purchased. :) Swing by if you’re in the area and feel like chillin. It’s an open area too so no cramming next to people! Oh and it’s a flat rate with no tax?! Oh boy.

Great beer selection. Did the 6 sampler. Lots of great local beers on tap. Also loved they had fridges full of local beers to drink there or buy to go.

This place rocks. Don’t be confused by the name — they are not a brewery but rather a beer store and tap room. They have a cute little upstairs with high tops, leather seats, and a view over the rest of the venue. They have almost a dozen coolers all linked up with bottles/cans of beer — you can either buy and drink these there, buy them to go, or drink what’s on tap — or all of the above. From the cooler: Many are unique, some are not, most are local, some are not. A nice mix if you’re a beer connoisseur. If you’re not a beer expert then you’ll be impressed. From the taps: They have a decent variety of mostly local beer so you’ll get what you’re looking for on that front, but not much from the truly local small breweries say to Ballard or throughout Seattle. i hear they’re working on this. Great service, very friendly bartender, free pretzels, what’s not to love? Super clean, dog friendly, or as the ‘tender put it, «We are everything friendly except for kids.»

Pretty cool spot, you can try a lot of NW breweries on tap, munch on pretzels and even play a few board games? Has a large selection on tap as well as in coolers. Nice little patio area, friendly staff. I am a big fan of this sorta place. And they have flights!

One of our favorite local places. Friendly staff, great beer selection and they allow dogs inside! We recently held a Happy Hour event here with 50 people and they were able to fit us nicely upstairs. Great space if you are having a small private networking party where people are able to mix and mingle.

The best service and recommendations of all the breweries we went to on our trip. Since they didn’t serve food, they had a binder of nearby businesses that had food that you could bring back. The guy at the counter was awesome and down to earth. I told him what I liked and his recommendations hit the spot. Laid back tone to the place along with TVs on the wall. I like this place. I’ll be back!

So let me start this review off with the basics — we came looking to try local brews on a Friday afternoon, and that’s exactly what we got. The space is awesome, the bartender was friendly, and there’s free pretzels(what more could you ask for?). I’d say there’s about 10 – 15 brews on tap and dozens of others in bottle form to purchase(not sure if you can drink those in the bar though). The beers are mostly from Washington, though there’s a handful from Oregon and California. Beers range from about $ 3.50 to $ 6. It’s definitely a pretty chill place so don’t come here looking to get too wild :)

This a such a quaint and charming little brewery. The style is quite modern with long tables and benches on each side of the bar. Even though they do not have a super big selection of beer, they offer a variety of local beers. It is a good place to hang out with friends. They also have board games. We played farkled! haha such a fun game! The brewery is neat and organized, i really enjoyed my time here.

Fun place to hang out with friends. We came to attend an event that was being hosted there. I think it was a good place to host an interactive event because they have big tables that allow people to sit together and interact. I’m not a big beer drinker so I never know what I want and usually have to ask the staff. The person at the bar was friendly and patient with me even though it was busy and I had several questions. The woman gave me a suggestion based on my likes/dislikes. It was a NW red ale. Turned out that I liked it. It wasn’t bitter and had a nice flavor. They don’t have much in terms of non alcoholic drinks. Ginger beer was the only soda. I’m not a huge beer drinker but I liked the place. I would definitely visit again.

This is a great place to grab a beer and relax. They have a great selection of beers from the area and the staff is super friendly. It is a big place so it never feels crowded. I recommend grabbing a slice of pizza or a burger and bringing it in with you, so you can stay longer and enjoy more beers.

Is it a beer store inside a bar or a bar inside a beer store? Probably more of the latter. The store focuses on bottles of local brew bit has a pretty wide selection. The bar menu is composed entirely of local Ballard and Fremont brews, even highlighting them on a map. It actually makes a great starting point for an area beer crawl. There was a decent selection of beer beyond IPA as well, a bit harder to find in the area. Really not a very large bar though and it didn’t look like there would be much of a night scene as it was deserted on a weekday evening.

Ballard Beer Co. is a really spacious taproom with a stellar collection of super local beer and cider. This is a great spot for those who want local craft beer(with variety!). I would highly recommend coming here to fill up your growler — they have a super chill deal where if you fill up 5 growlers, you get the 6th free. The staff is very friendly, and it seems like they make improvements every time I visit. It seems like they’re working on what I see is their main issue, which is the fact that the big open space is good in theory, but unless there are more than 10 people inside, it feels empty and cold. They’ve remedied this by putting in giant fridges, an art gallery, and shelving. Bottom line — Ballard Beer Co. is cool for some local brews and is a GREAT spot for groups. I love that it’s dog-friendly and I’m nearly always trying something I haven’t before when I go. They’re not quite at 5-star status yet, but I’m hoping they get there.

I didn’t stay much time, but by what I see, the place is definitely a 5 stars. I went there on a Monday night, so there was not many people there. Right at the entrance there was a really cute dog, which is something very different for a bar, and I like it. They sell only beers, but you can bring your own food from outside(and you dog if you want). So me and my friends went to a bar near by, got some burgers to go, and went back there to enjoy the beers. Staff is very very friendly, the place is very clean, beers are most local, and you can buy the bottles to take home if you want. As we got there a little late, we didn’t stay much time, but one of the attendants said that on game days they project the game on the wall so we can watch it from there. I’m definitely coming back in a game day, and then I’ll make a most detailed review about the place.

So walking in, it IS a little barren and cold, but I think they just opened a few weeks ago(or so it looks). ONTAP. They have a nice selection of local brews and ciders, including some seasonal stuff, which is nice. AMBIANCE. OK, so we went at noon on a Saturday, and while I wouldn’t expect it to be packed, there were only 2 or 3 other people there, so I’m guessing it’s not doing great just yet. It’s not very cozy or warm, more of a small-beer-hall atmosphere? I’m sure it can be fun in big groups. Decent place, interesting beers, but most definitely not a brewery.

To be honest, I came here initially thinking it was a brewery. Instead I found a bar that offered(mostly) local beer. The number of beers was very good, and the quality was great. The reason for three stars is mostly due to the ambiance. All concrete floors made talking to people two feet in front of you near impossible, thanks to everyone’s shouts bouncing off the floor and empty walls. The seating also consisted of only two picnic tables and four standing only tables. I feel like there is potential here for something great, but the noise level was definitely a deterrent for the time being. I’ll be more than happy to visit again once they figure out their direction.
