Great atmosphere, and great sandwich’s! Highly recommend and i will definitely be back here again!

Location is perfect in the Maple Leaf neighborhood and the customer service was great. I wanted to like this place more but my husband got a breakfast sandwich and it was lukewarm at best and his drip coffee was really weak by Seattle standards. I had a GF lemon poppy seed scone and it was more like mini loaf, it was delicious though. Like the neighborhood vibes and convenient location.

Great little neighborhood coffee shop. We stopped there most mornings while staying in town recently. Good coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and friendly staff. Everything you could want to start your morning.

I live in the neighborhood and have occasionally tried them, but I’ve never really been«feeling it» as a customer. Almost always feel like I’m a bit of a burden. Tonight was the end — about 6:30 pm and I’m driving by after dinner and think, «Oh, they’re open — I’ll grab a post-dinner latte.» After jumping thru rush hour hoops to cross traffic and get properly parked in their lot(«do NOT block driveway» — hey, no problem), I walk into the propped open door with the fully lit neon«OPEN» sign. .. only to have an obviously impatient and put-out worker at the register passive-aggressively(emphasis on aggressive) inform me that«We close at 6.» To which I responded, «You might want to turn off your ‘OPEN’ sign»(at 6:30? yeah) and left. Took a right down Roosevelt a few blocks to see if Cloud City was still open — nope. So doubled back towards home(fully five minutes later) and whaddya know? OPEN sign still lit up, door still open, and I’m sure the passive-aggression was still on full throttle. Seriously? See ya. .. Spare me the snotty and take a direct tip(turn off the OPEN sign) if you don’t want«invaders.»

The coffee is really mediocre and inconsistent. The pastries are not fresh. Really shouldn’t be selling 1 – 2 day old baked goods at full price. I was a regular here for awhile, but no longer. Too many other great options in the area.

Good food selection of wraps, burritos, breakfast sandwiches. Excellent selection of gluten free pastries and lacto-ovo vegetarian foods(along with real-meat selections). Friendly service and good wifi connection. Parking in the front and back of the building.

The baristas are very polite and bright. The bakery items are solid and the coffee is delish. I’m always looking forward to my next visit.

Love this place — who doesn’t like a place named Blue Saucer? Very nice place to study, and I love the big windows, parking spaces, and herbal tea.

This place is awesome. It truly defines a neighborhood coffee shop. Everyone seems to know everyone else(I’m trying to become a regular). They are friendly, quick, prices are good and the drinks are high quality. They have 6 different types of hot cocoa, all very good. My one complaint would be that their pastries aren’t particularly great.

Great place to start the morning. I’ve been here twice to do drink my morning coffee and do a little planning before my work day. The staff is very friendly and practically everyone that walks through the door is a regular. The woman behind the counter remembered me from yesterday. Blue saucer is a feel good coffee shop and I can see why they have a ton of regulars coming through the doors. I would highly recommend coming to have a cup of coffee is this positive atmosphere.

Tasty sandwiches, decent selection and cute little shop. I got the turkey sandwich and a pair of cute earrings from a local artist(a 12 year old boy!). I love when little shops support artists like that. The service was nice, it wasn’t too crowded and I love when a place let’s you help yourself toy water. Overall a good little café type shop, great for lunch.

Love the breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches here. I hope they keep them around. I love to sit outside on their patio when the weather is decent. Not many cafes boast a patio that gets full sun. Their drip coffee is very good because it’s actually French Press poured into the pot so you get richer, full-bodied flavor.

Well-made drinks, wifi, nice outdoor seating, I like this place. Prices are comparable to chain coffee houses. If only the baristas would come to terms with the fact that they’re in the service industry and that even just a smile would go a long way.

Love this place! Cozy little neighborhood café with a local owner. Billie, the owner is a gem. I come here all the time on breaks from Math ‘n’ Stuff and the couple of times a drink wasn’t quite right, they were happy to fix it by making me a new one!

I am the last one to get cool or hip when it is cool or hip. Just being in the door of the blue saucer you feel a part of something great. The job I have brings me by every Thursday and it is the highlight of my day. The owners and staff are ever present and amazing people. I did not know coffee other than the silver canisters that you pump from the top… now I have a place where I can tell Billie my mood and she can match me up with the right brew. Did I mention the food or pastries? All delicious and very fairly priced. Quite a neighborhood treasure.

First important fact — they no longer use Stumptown coffee, they use a local Ballard coffee bean roaster, Seven. A smaller place on Roosevelt, coffee here is pretty good. I had a standard iced americano. A big bonus is that they have simple syrup made, so you don’t have to try and dissolve sugar crystals. They also had several iced teas available, such as a peach white mojito with real mint and lime, but I would say the taste was just so-so. As for pricing, a 12oz latte is $ 3, mocha is $ 3.20 and hellfire mocha(which is mocha with spices like cayenne pepper) for $ 3.40. There is also a decent food menu with mostly sandwiches and breakfast items. For ambiance, the space is small. Inside, the counter takes up most of the space with a couple of seats at the espresso bar and then about 7 small rectangular tables. There is also an outside patio area with a few picnic tables. There is a small parking lot in the front and back with 4 – 5 spots, but street parking is also easy to come by. Baristas were pleasant, not overly friendly, but definitely hyper. Wifi is free. Of note, there is a sign in front of the store that says free community breakfast on the first Sunday of every month. I saw at least one customer come in to inquire about this, but was told that the sign is not in reference to Blue Saucer. They really should get rid of this as it creates a lot of confusion. If in the area, I would come back and would be good spot for a cup of coffee on the go, but I think I could easily try another place as well.

A true neighborhood coffeehouse and general hang out. The coffee and baristas have always been great. Creative sandwiches and an owner that genuinely cares about her customers. Editorial comment: The venim of some peoples comments are really unbelievable. Get a life! Coffee can be pretty subjective. And so can service. I’ve never had coffee so bad I felt compelled to personally attack someone. I’d love to see people who always critique a small business run one for a week. Places don’t stay open for 5 years by accident. Someone gets up EVERYMORNING and make good things happen over and over again. Sarah S. — Go to Starbucks! P. S. i’m glad they don’t have«special“place for kid’s ;)!

LOVETHEBLUESAUCER Great baristas, food, coffee, ambience — honestly, what more are you looking for? Best time to go is in the afternoons if you’re looking for a place to settle down with your laptop to get some work done, or just trying to read a good book! Tried the place down the street… are they kidding me with that grocery store brand coffee? This is SEATTLE for god’s sake! Blue Saucer every time!

I’ve only been here a few times, but they’ve got to be doing something right to still be in business. I’ve lived 2 blocks away from this place for over 25 years and they’ve been able to remain longer than any other place on the corner there. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but if I was this is the place I’d be. It’s probably not worth driving across the city to visit the Blue Saucer, but if you live in the neighborhood this is the place you should go. They’ve got some sweet Maple Leaf t-shirts too.
