Blue Water Taco Grill

I want to commend Mr. Cassidy and how much he cares about his customer relations. There was a small hiccup on the order due to Bitesquad not being a little more patient to wait for the rest of an order. He took care of us generously and gained a permanent customer in me.
Other restaurants can learn a thing or two from him.
Oh, the food was outstanding too, despite not having guacamole this time.

Blue Water Taco Grill does tacos just like they should be done, and they have multiple vegetarian options to choose from regardless of the time of day. I’ve had both breakfast and lunch here, and while El Chupacabra will be my late night, bar type destination for Mexican, this is my favorite place for daytime Mexican eateries, and if I’m in SODO, it is difficult to say no. Everything is made quickly to order, and they keep their meat and veggies far apart just like it should be. Looking forward to the next chance I get to enjoy a breakfast burrito. They are smaller than some, but they fill you up for a while, and the price is great.

Delicious burritos. We found this place walking by and glad we stopped in. We each had a burrito and both were really good. The carnitas had good char taste and seasoned well. The grilled chicken was just as good. Plus they sell the bottles of Mexican Coca-​Cola. Will definitely come back next time in Seattle!

Went here once before-​food was fine, tho a bit overpriced. Today I went in a few minutes before closing time, and was turned away. The lady said that if there are no customers, they close early. (just a note for those who cut it close. :-))

I work up the street, and order the fish asado plate without dairy. The staff is very polite and friendly, and they always remember my order which is always the added personal touch. They get pretty busy some days though, so it’s advised to order earlier than later!

I work down the street from Blue Water Taco Grill. Ok, maybe like .7 miles. Close enough. Walking distance, yea.
Sometimes in charge of ordering lunch for everyone (depending on whether it’s my project or not) I will order from here. These guys are quick, friendly and happy to deliver. There’s only been one time so far they have been unable to deliver and I had to make a quick pickup run (order the day before and you can get a delivery time scheduled).
Their food is always fresh and on time. They also go out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions and pay close attention to detail. I enjoy their guac, it’s zingy!

I met my sister here for lunch today, and we were both really disappointed and sort of grossed out. We both ordered the cold shrimp and avocado salad. That sounds really good right? I had visions of big chunks of fresh avocado married with shrimp, it was a sunny day and it sounded Spring-​like and refreshing.
It turns out that the avocado part of the salad was a large pile of runny guacamole and the tiny shrimp were super fishy tasting and a little sparse. She was treating, so I wasn’t going to complain but early on she snickered and said «do you think this is gross?». At this point, it my salad was a liquidy mess and I was fishing out the black beans as they were the least offensive part. «Yeah, gross» I said. We agreed that we were eating a bad lunch, and because we are good sports and sisters we laughed about our sad, yucky lunch as we parted ways.
The staff (1 guy) was young and seemed bored. At some point I went to get a refill on my soda (I needed some calories) and he had left the rubber mat piled up in front of the soda machine so I had to carefully walk over it for my regular pepsi/​diet pepsi combo. He was planted in a nearby booth texting or watching videos or something as I awkwardly climbed over the pile.
I went home and immediately baked and consumed my Totino’s party pizza which was supposed to be dinner. Neither of us are picky eaters but yuck. Just yuck,.

Eat here because Qdoba is to far (South Center); food is okay, staff is subject to having bad attitude. Make sure you specify black beans vs brown beans because they will do black by default and hate being corrected on their assumptions.

The food at this place is horrible! I’ve been a couple times since I work close by. I thought the first time was a bad day in the kitchen so gave them another shot. It was surprisingly much worse the last time I went so will never go back! The food is tasteless and the portion size is small for the price you pay. The steak I ordered was very fatty, beans were bland, and the rice was dry with no flavor at all. Not to mention the service was below average at best. I don’t see how anyone would give this Taco joint a good review. the food is better at Taco Bell.

I work quite close to this location and have been eating here since they opened up. From that time I would say that the quality and value has slipped. You can always go with the staples of tacos and buritos and it will be delicious.
All food is cooked and prepared in front of you and the employees are really great.
Overall, this place offers fresh ingredients, tasty fare, and is very clean, but it is slightly overpriced.

Initially, I gave this place a 5-​star rating when they first opened up.
Since then, their staff has become rude and impatient, and their portions have become smaller. The quality of the food is still great, but on average, I spend about $ 11 here just for lunch.
They still have fresh ingredients and are a clean place.

We had a fantastic lunch here. I had the grilled prawn platter. I like that they don’t load your plate up with the cheap ingredients like cabbage, rice and beans. They give you healthy portions of tasty foods. Be sure to allow enough time to study the menu and try something out of the ordinary.

This is the first Blue Water I’ve been to and it looks pretty damn good. All the meats are grilled fresh right in front of you and the fixins all look fresh. They are open from 7am for breakfast until 3:30 in the afternoon because, let’s face it, who’s going to stay in SODO for dinner?
Don’t forget to grab some chips and salsa!
