Cafe Reiki

I really appreciate small, owner-​operated establishments! I have been here several times.
I love that there is a café in my ‘hood that offers homemade food and juices! As a person with lots of food allergies, I really appreciate the numerous, allergy-​free options Café Reiki offers. They also carry raw food boxes and smoothies made with healthy alternatives to dairy (other than soy)!
There is ample space to sit and sip your drink and eat your food, or meet with other people and chat it up. The space is quiet and clean. It’s nice coming here to do business meetings — we can hear each other speak, and don’t have to yell over the sound of a loud espresso machine.
Two thumbs up to Café Reiki!

On the morning I visited Reiki Café, there was very little food available. There was one scone that looked pitiful and a couple of pathetic sweet buns. There was only one kind of cookie so I asked if there was something else available. The gal behind the counter brought out a different cookie. I bought it with a cup of drip coffee (no espresso drinks here). Later in the day I noticed that the sticker on the cookie package said, «Best By 7÷5», which was three weeks ago. At the coffee fixin’s counter there were about 5 stevia packets, no sugar, splenda, equal or sweet n low. The location is good and the interior space is good so it is a shame that the food and drink options were so small.

I have returned to follow up my previous review as promised now that the raw food menu is back. Café Reiki first featured a delightful and healthy raw food box back about two years ago. Plans were put on hold whilst the search for a permanent production kitchen ensued. Thankfully, the new Café location in Ballard provides both the owner and the clientele the much needed space to pursue a unique vision. The interior is gorgeous, the coffee is top notch, and the raw food is back! If you have never tried raw, or perhaps know exactly what is in store, you owe it to yourself to try the menu at Café Reiki. I just got home and unloaded the raw box of amazingly delicious and healthy food that will feed me for about a week. It is a very happy time indeed!

Café Reiki is obviously a labor of love. The care that has obviously been taken shows in the way you feel welcomed when you walk in the door. I am very impressed that a place can hold such warm and generous atmosphere when so much of the world is so harsh. As the community builds more and more through events and workshops, I know that Café Reiki will become an ever increasing beam of light for Seattle.

The owner of Café Reiki has had a long-​term vision of creating a community-​oriented café and this space has met that vision! This is a good energy space with room for large and small groups to meet. There are a number of healthy items to choose from, both food and drink. And the owner is always open to suggestions from customers on other food items to carry. Good food, good drink, good energy, a great combination in which to read, work (free WiFi!) or meet friends! Café Reiki is a wonderful addition to the Ballard landscape!

I have to say that it is a great pleasure to see the Café Reiki vision come to life… the coffee is delicious, the items available for snacking or light breakfast fare are top notch, and the only reason I don’t give the Café five stars is I want the raw food menu! Pleeeeeeaaaaaase!!! I have had the Café Reiki raw food offerings before and once they return, look out! This food is delicious, nu-​trish-​ous (sorry couldn’t resist) and a perfect compliment to the healthy atmosphere being featured by this new and vibrant local business. Bring me raw food and I will bring you a fifth star!
