Fast service, big sandwich, reasonable price. It’s a good cheesesteak, only thing I can comment negatively about is lack of seasoning or flavor on the meat. For such a hearty sandwich I was expecting lots of flavor. I think they should season their steak. I had the peppersteak with onion and provolone. I’d go again.

I never would have gone there but people at work said it’s excellent. I work only 2 blocks away so decided to try it and now this has become a once-a-week lunch for me. It’s fantastic. The pepper steak with provolone is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten.

Best philly cheesesteak I’ve had in a long time. Al, the owner is very passionate about his business and you can taste it in the sandwich. Delicious!!! Al, don’t stop what you’re doing. Danita

I think this has the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had, but then I don’t have many. Excellent bread and the pairing of the soft white bread with the grilled onions, meat and mushrooms. I added provolone. A great treat on a beautiful day.

I walked by it during lunch and picked one up to take back to work. It was a 25 minute trip back but well wrapped it was a hot and delicious by the time I got it back to the office. Delicious!

A challenge to stop by since I live and work in the north end. But on this glorious 80 °F plus day, picked up a Donnie with provolone, steak wit, and steak wit out before the lunch rush tsunami! So glad to report its consistency and generous contents after all these years. Cheaper than a plane ticket to South Philly. These folks are the best!

By far my favorite cheese steak place. You have to get whiz. And you have to get the hot peppers they have out. My mouth is watering just thinking of this place.

Really, really, REALLY good Philly cheese steak. I’ve had ‘em in Philly(at Pat’s AND Gino’s) and this is easily better … with one minor picky little point. I know it can be done both ways but when they put the Cheez Whiz on TOP of the meat, it makes it even messier than a good Philly cheese steak is anyway. But the guy behind the counter is so accommodating, I’m betting they’d do it the other way if asked. BTW, there IS a correct way to order a Philly cheese steak. Name the sandwich you’ve decided, then the type of cheese you want, then«wit» or «wit-out» grilled onions, so it sounds something like this: «The Donnie, whiz, wit-out.» You’ll immediately score points as someone who knows Philly cheese steaks. Only about a dozen stools inside and a few picnic tables outside for when weather permits but, if you want a good sandwich and don’t care about the atmosphere, this place ROCKS!

This grub is DIALED, bro! Unilocal thinks my review is too short. Well, Unilocal,I ‘d like to un-succinctly state that your website name is too short. Seriously, did you even try to make an impact? The race car red color theme of your site is just eye-bleedy and does not compensate for your diminutive name. Start thinking big over there, ladies! You want succinct and impactfull? Read my review. ‘Nuff said.

Well you don’t get much more of a hole in wall in this. This is the very reason I use Unilocal because you can find places like this. So freaking good, great portion, super cool staff, this will be a regular in my rotation.

Awesome cheesesteaks. I get the original with Wiz. Very filling and a good crusty roll(soft on the inside). Meat is seasoned well and overflowing. Had to use a fork after awhile. Small place but great cheesesteaks. Very friendly staff/owner.

I love this place! From the thick Philly accent of the owner working the counter, to the big jar of self serve sweet peppers, this place is so legit! Tucked off a side street on East Marginal Way, it’s kinda easy to miss. I had the Pepper Steak with white American and I think I’ll go back and try another one this week! The portions are awesome and the service is prompt!

Absolutely amazing! I had the Pepper Cheesesteak wit onions and American white cheese and it was perfect! I went on with 3 coworkers and we all really enjoyed our sandwiches! Al was very friendly and really excited to tell us he moved over from Philly a short while ago! Thanks for your great service, we will be back shortly!

O M G Freakin awesome. I didn’t think I could get an authentic east coast Philly all the way over here in Seattle but they are seriously doing it right. I do ask them to go light on the oil because they tend to go unnecessary heavy. Tiny hut. No dine-in, just a walk-up window or step inside to order and pick up. I’m glad this is not more convenient to my home territory or I’d cheat on my gluten free diet to my own detriment.

I must say I was disappointed after the reviews I read. The Cheesesteak I had was good but not great. The bread was fresh and had the right chew. The meat was overcooked and very very greasy with not much flavor also very light on the onions. I still have not had a good Cheesesteak here in Seattle. The best I have had in the West is at DP Cheesesteaks in Salt Lake City.

Such a legit place! Total ghetto neighborhood and quite frankly, their building has little to be desired but I knew all this prior to trying it out for the first time. Don’t expect burgers, fries, onion rings, or shakes. They do cheesesteaks… and that’s it. Bottle pop and chips also. But the cheesesteaks are the bomb. They load the fillings in the nice fresh 12′(?) bun as full as they can get it. Your choice of cheese(had to go wit wiz) They also have a condiment bar with peppers and sauces if you like… but I chose not to so I could taste the flavors. Not much seating but try to enjoy it there because they come out piping hot! Enjoy!

Really good cheesesteaks. It’s mostly walk-up/take-out; but there are a few seats inside and a couple picnic tables outside for non-rainy days. The lines can get long, and it’s not a great place to just stand around waiting for food. Prices are inline with other cheesesteak places in Seattle. I don’t mean to pick on anybody; but there’s a short guy who works the skillet. Imagine a short grandma driving with her arms above her head. It’s kinda like that. Nothing to do with the food; but I couldn’t stop watching him work…

Not only is this a great place to get a cheese steak, but it’s also one of the friendliest and most welcoming places you will find. The owners, Al and Jenny, work tirelessly nearly every day making sure every person who walks in their door is treated right and served a great meal. The menu is simple with a few variations on the classic cheese steak with choices of cheese and other toppings available. My personal favorite is the pepperoni steak with provolone and then I add some sriracha sauce to it for a little extra kick. The pepperoni comes straight from Salumi so you know it’s good and all their ingredients are high quality and prepared to order. The location is a little off the beaten path compared to their downtown restaurant, but it’s definitely worth the trip.

The masses don’t lie! CRAZYFAST service(had sandwich in what felt like 2 minutes and GENUINEFRIENDLY service from the owner/operator. Enough has been said about the food and I can’t argue with anyone on the flavor… really great.

There are times in life when you have a work meeting and everyone heads to the same two or three places for lunch break, and you just have to head somewhere different. Today was one of those days. With the new mobile Unilocal app view, I saw a juicy burger on the front page, but no takeout. Looking on the map, I saw they were close enough by, so I figured why not… Atmospherically, it feels genuine walking in. And the attitude and simplicity of the place is perfect. You don’t need frills, just meat and cheese. No bull. Just meat and cheese. Unilocal gives them one dollar sign for price, but if you’re getting a soda and chips, expect to pay about $ 15 total. But about the food: recently, I had a very commercialized cheesesteak from a local chain that was less than pleasing. Here? Real deal. Messy, meaty, and full of whiz and wonder. When you lift up a sandwich and the meat just falls out so you have to scoop it up with your chips? There is no better feeling. I have died and gone to heaven. But thankfully, I’m not dead so I can go back for lunch another time.

Oh laaaawwwd! Greasey, messy, and fake cheese whiz?! Ain’t nothing wrong with that at all! I’ve never been to Philly but I imagine this is what it taste like! Taste: 5⁄5 If you’re a health nut, or worried about your figure this is not the place for you. It’s a huge sandwich, drips oil, is covered in cheese and probably is the closest thing to a heart attack on a bun. It is absolutely fantastic. The ‘Donnie’ was superb!!! Value: 5⁄5 $ 10 for a sandwich is a little much, but I would pay that price every single time for a cheese steak of this caliber! The sandwich could probably feed two people!!! But I’m greedy so I wouldn’t share mine with anyone :) Service: 5⁄5 Cashier was nice, but the food came out in like 2 minutes!!! That’s faster than most fast food joints!!! I ordered to go, but the place is pretty small, street parking, and takes card. I would come here multiple times a week if it was closer! I’m definitely enamored with the place!!!
