Quality Dental services with a view!
We have gone to Dr Young for may years. Luckily we spend most of our time with the dental hygienist and not the dentist, since we take our home care seriously. Both are first rate.
Not sure why I waited so long to post a review. But here it is — definitely a 5 star place!

I really appreciate the straight forward approach to preventative care with the entire team at this practice. I hate going to the dentist as much as the next person, but as soon as Paige expertly cleans my teeth all is good in my world again… respite for another 11 months at least:)

I don’t even know how this gets a more than 1-​star rating.
1. They have consistently tried to upsell me and my friends on more expensive cleanings when we all just wanted a maintenance clean (you know every 6 months). They have said all sorts of things to make me do it including:
— «Sorry we wont do maintenance clean unless you pay us for higher cleaning worth $ 200 after insurance, because that would be *morally* wrong»
— «you are like a person walks in with swollen arm in emergency room for an ointment when his arm is abut to fall off in 2 hrs, so I think you should get the surgery (metaphorically)»
Just WOW.
2. Their receptionist literally screamed at me for not showing up (I was out of town for a meeting and forgot, and I was in the meeting during the time she called). I had to hang up due to the meeting. I had honestly had forgotten and she didn’t believe me that I was as sorry as she was since I’d like my teeth check-​up too. She called me right back after I hung up 3 – 4 times to scream at me more. Seriously?
3. I have not found their dental service to be better than any place else. They try to flatter up with useless things like «oh nice hair» etc tactics that bad saleswomen do in clothing stores. I’d rather have them focus on real dental work and do a good job rather than wasting my time on insincere small talk.
Would not go back, would not recommend to anyone.

Dr. Young took me on as a patient after I had a weekend chipped tooth. They literally had me in at 8 AM Monday morning before I began my new job. Dr Young is very personable and professional.

I realized how much I liked this dentist when my appointment was coming up and I wasn’t filled with dread.
The reason I hate most dentists is that a lot of hygienists are so absent minded about the water and vacuum thingie. They’ll spray all sorts of water into your mouth, which is already uncomfortable considering you’re lying down, and then they’ll jab the vacuum to the left and right of your mouth while looking elsewhere and assume the job is done, leaving you to swallow — bleh. I’ve worked with both hygienists at Dr. Young’s office, and not only are they super friendly and gentle, but they’re awesome when it comes to the spray and vacuum. They both vacuum as they’re spraying to minimize any collection at the back of your mouth, and if there is any, they ask you to do a quick spit into the vacuum. Easy!
The actual cleaning is so quick and pleasant. The toothpaste they use is very mild in flavor, and they don’t make you use any fluoride, so your mouth isn’t tainted with «dentist taste» for hours after and you don’t have squeaky teeth syndrome — you just feel like yourself. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to be in and out of a dentist in 30 minutes, but it’s consistently the case here.
Dr. Young himself is a very caring, attentive dentist. Once my husband had a painful tooth on a Saturday and Dr. Young met us at his clinic within an hour of calling him. It’s great to know you can count on your dentist no matter when it is.

I was more than a little terrified as I started out my journey to find a new dentist in a new city. After asking around and realizing that none of the dentists my friends recommended were covered by my insurance, I found Dr. Young had several positive reviews from other sites and had been voted a Top Dentist in Seattle by his peers in the last couple of years. Anyway, I needed a crown and had to go somewhere.. .
I’m so glad I ended up choosing Dr. Young. He and the rest of the staff were kind, professional, and well-​trained for their respective jobs. It was a great experience: no problems with crown, they were timely, and the pain was minimal. I also liked that both Dr. Young and the dental hygienist explained to me what they were doing and why they were doing it. Another plus is that the office space is beautiful, and because it’s small I never got the feeling that Dr. Young was rushing away to another pt. He seemed calm and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience. The only con for me is that it’s downtown, and they don’t validate parking.

Dr. Young’s office provides great dental service in a convenient downtown location. Tammy keeps the office running smooth. Paige makes cleanings a breeze by sharing great stories. Dr. Young is clearly skilled and always pleasant. Everyone in the office is great.
