I consider myself somewhat of a pumpkin expert. If there is something made with pumpkin on the menu I have probably tried it. I have also tried pretty much every pumpkin spice latte in the whole entire city and well these guys got it right. It is by far the best! They make their pumpkin purée by hand and add just the right amount of spice and minimal sweetness. Not to much nutmeg, just a touch of cinnamon maybe a tiny hint of vanilla I am guessing here. If I had to pick a word to describe it I would buttery and I saw DAYUMN good.

Mushy everything bagel with hummus and not fresh cuces. Average not great Americano, slightly burned. All of which was acceptable for a fast lunch except for the snotty wait staff. The cook was more obsessed with having customers line up properly than efficiently serving up the orders. He was rude for no good reason to two young ladies who were somehow not standing in the right place in a shop that’s maybe 10 by 15. And in between orders both staff chatted incessant, y about their«beef» with Fleet Foxes. Never again.

I got the raspberry Italian soda and it sucked. It was mostly filled with cream, I couldn’t even taste the raspberry and it was barely carbonated! Like a day old soda… but without any flavoring.

I have been going to Cherry St Coffee for a while now. They actually do have good coffee and pretty quick and good breakfast goods. I mostly frequent the one on Olive(meaning 5 days a week sometimes twice a day.) I got a new job in dt seattle on 3rd and have been frequenting them, meaning the one on 3rd. I’m rating this one on their customer service. Be careful to not stand in the wrong line cause they will call you out like a child and do it a second time too. They are not friendly ATALL!!! I mean maybe be kinder to people who have never been there and STILLHAVEN’T HADTHEIRMORNINGCOFFEEORBREAKFAST. These guys are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. And maybe a smile wouldn’t hurt! Just don’t expect any kind or friendliness here. I left very upset. I really hope they change their customer service outlook cause it is not good.

If you’re staying on this side of town(near the conference center/library), this is great coffee and good breakfast. The bagel and lox were some of the best I’ve had! My wife enjoyed her egg & cheese whatever. Good coffee too!

Worst, overpaid coffee experience ever! Went in to this hipster-vibed place in an office building and was grievously disappointed. I ordered a bagel & they were out. Fine. I asked for light cream cheese(as in low fat) and he repeated back ‘light on cream cheese’, then I tried to explain I wanted low fat & he said ‘we only have one tip, so I’ll do it light’. Okkkk, fine. Then I realized I erroneously forgot to ask for it toasted and thought the employee was cream cheesing mine. He RUDELY said ‘it’s not mine’ & they ‘toast them on default’. Attitude not so fine. Then I try to order a nonfat caramelo — sounded interesting, right? The employee at the register repeated back ‘latte?’ and I repeated my beverage request as it was overwhelmingly new to me & we seemed to have a communication block. Get said beverage and the sauce was all at the bottom and didn’t taste that great and bagel didn’t taste that great. RUDE customer service for a not very great product. If you’re gonna be disrespectful hipster, your product better be top notch…

I would give this place a 3.5 if I could – but since I can’t – I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. I kind of generally like this place. It’s not the best coffee in Seattle, it’s not the worst – but what I LOVE is their lox. I like to go in about every other week or so for lox & cream cheese on a bagel. What I DON’T love, is that there’s about a 25% chance that at 7:30am on a weekday morning, they’re out of lox. Last time I was there, they explained to me that it’s because they’re yesterday’s at that point, and new lox don’t show up until 8:30am. What else I don’t love is that sometimes the baristas are so engrossed in conversation with one another that service is slow and it feels like you’re interrupting to make an order. They’re friendly, when they’re attentive, though.

A quick trip in for a take out order, but as soon as I stepped in wished I’d had time to sit a spell. The rich aroma of coffee beans was a psychological Zanax, making the stress of the deadline I’d been working under all morning melt away. Staff was warm and friendly. I wanted to kiss them all on the mouth. I got a simple cup of soup and side salad, and when I got back to my desk was pleased that the portions weren’t ridiculously large. The salad had tomatoes that tasted like real tomatoes, not the fauxmatoes one normally gets this time of year. Lettuce and sprouts were fresh and crisp. The soup was amazing. A lemony rice that was so rich and tasty, and again, portion size was perfect for someone like me who eats like a puppy. Only criticism I have is that the wowza foccacia that accompanied the meal was polluted with butter. I would have preferred without but thankfully it kept me from eating it all.

Love this place as well. Staff is ALWAYS welcoming and friendly. I’m pretty much a regular here and they be on point with my drink. This is also better than Starbucks. They ain’t shady with their shots. I recommend this place if you’re nearby.

Hello friends! A huge shout out goes out to the phenomenally friendly, and sincere staff at Cherry Street Coffee house. The coffee is hot and fantastic; the food is hand prepared to order, fresh, uniquely delicious and memorable. Go just once, have a Falafel sandwich or some homemade granola… and you too will be HOOKED. The owners are doing everything right. This small, busy café in the middle of our spectacular city will pull you in, and deserves the highest praise and loyalty. They have mine!!! xo, xo, xo Cherry Street… you are in my heart!!!

My new favorite lunch place. Funky atmosphere, great food, awesome coffee, pleasant folks behind the counter. What more could you want on a cloudy or sunny Friday?

Cherry Street has always made delicious coffee, no matter what location. I love buying their bags of espresso(they’re nice enough to grind it for you when you ask, too!) The only reason this review isn’t a five star is because the employees often seem unhappy, although friendly. I hate feeling like I’m bothering or annoying someone. I’m not mad at the baristas, don’t get me wrong. Whatever is troubling the baristas has to stop! Such talented coffee artists should be treated like royalty. Just sayin.

Cherry Street gets five stars from me for it’s breakfast food options: I need protein in the morning, so a case full of bagels and muffins doesn’t do anything for me. Cherry Street has a variety of breakfast pita wraps with eggs, cheese, and veggies/meat. The pita bread is soft and hot – perfect to wrap around eggs, tomatoes, and fresh basil. I can’t wait to eat this again. Wrap are $ 5. Cherry Street also offers a variety of bagel sandwiches, quiche, pastries, and borek, a savory middle eastern pastry that often involves cheese and spinach. The coffee is very good and the staff is friendly.

Needed to see what type of coffee is available downtown Seattle near the office other than SB. Hoping for small roaster doing something different, maybe a roast that wasn’t burning off all the flavor. Cherry Street was ok but nothing special for straightforward coffee, prep was typical diner style in compression pot. Was hoping for something more along the lines of specific roasts and origins maybe in French Press to show of flavor and add body. Did not happen, left somewhat disappointed but caffeinated. The shop was in an interesting old space typical of the South end of downtown and staff were friendly.

I like this place, the food is what you would expect from a coffee shack, however the friendly atmosphere and great tasting coffee is the reason why i frequent this place on a regular basis. They have a huge lounge area downstairs that’s cozy and warm. Thank you Cherry street

As one of the usual morning pit-stops, this place always – 99.9% – delivers what I like and enjoy. I’ve had different things in the past but mostly the past few months have been the Hummus Spread with multigrain bagel and either one of the following awesome drinks: –hazelnut latte(sometimes soy, regular or NF) –vanilla latte(sometimes soy, regular or NF) –dirty chai(sometimes soy or regular) –chai(sometimes soy or regular) The usual morning crew is pretty solid, nice & friendly; sometimes there is someone different of the bunch.

Solid three stars for this place(though I’d probably give it a 3.5 if I could). Like many other small establishments, don’t come here expecting churn-and-burn cheap food. But if you’re willing to pay a little more, you’ll get something decent. I’ve come here a handful of times now(oddly enough never for coffee) and happily recommend both the salmon/lox bagel($ 7.25) and the chicken salad sandwich(which I put on ciabatta) with a cup of soup($ 10 total). Service is average, but it takes a little bit to get your order because there’s usually only 2 – 3 people behind the counter. And no one behind the counter really ever ‘hustles’ shall we say, but they are friendly enough. The space itself is kind of quaint, though I’ve always gotten my meals to go. Seems like they have a pretty solid menu so I’ll be back to taste more stuff down the road. It is a little on the pricier side(I think a small cup of soup is close to $ 5) but I had the veggie minestrone and it was pretty hearty. Can’t say I’m ‘dying’ to order it again but it was hot, had lots of veggies in it, etc. I’ve also ordered the andouillie sausage sandwich which was pretty decent but quite messy(and I saw they warmed it up in the microwave which was weird). Flavors were good though. Anyway, I’m addicted to their slightly overpriced salmon and lox bagel so I’ll be back soon I’m sure.

This location is on the upswing for me. First, the coffee is very good. It’s a solid product that is worth buying. Second, their food menu is great and enjoy both vegan and gluten free options. Third, customer service is what has made the difference for me. I’ve worked in the same building as this shop for almost 7 years. For over 3 of those years, I boycotted it — never spending a dime there. It was because of poor customer service from not 1, but 3 of the women who worked there. NOTE: None of them work there anymore which is one reason I’ve returned. I’m happy that I can go there again since it’s very convenient. I also have a great deal of respect for the owner, who always has a smile and cheery hello when he sees me.

We found the Cherry Street Coffee House because of Unilocal!Roaming around the street of Seattle my friends and I were looking for a quick pick me up. We headed over to Cherry Street Coffee House and ordered a few shots of coffee for all of us. We needed it since we had been out all day, and were planning on staying out all night! :D The white chocolate coffee was amazingly delicious. Although after I finished drinking my coffee my tongue felt kinda numb. Or it seemed like there was some kinda coating over it. Weird. :p
