It’s in the Seattle Center armory, not a stand alone store. They give you a fresh fry fix, and there are several options for toppings. But it’s way to expensive for what they are. The sweet potato fries — so expensive, something like over $ 7 for just a regular size! The sauces are simpler than you expect, and over-promised. Example: Dutch mayonnaise = normal not-fancy mayo, nothing special. I didn’t trust their meat toppings, just seemed a bit fake/mass-market. Do take note that ketchup, brown mustard, honey mustard, and couple different spice seasonings are free at the end of the counter where you pick up your order. Go across the room to Skillet counter and get the poutine. Legit and delicious, huge portion, fries slathered in cheddar and gravy.

Chilli cheese fries were so so good. And they give you good portion size. Only drawback… No free water. Bummer.

Service can sometimes be lackluster, but the fries are worth it. The sauce is really where it’s at, so get original fries and all the sauces. The bucket of fries is great for kids to share! And last time we were there the girl working came over and gave the kids all cups of ice water after we started eating. Kudos!

Frozen fries from a Gourmet Fry Stand? Really. Zorba The Greek Fries ordered. Unimpressive garnish. Generous gratuity left, not deserved. Won’t be back.

I’m staying at a nearby hotel and came here because of a Unilocal recommendation. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan. I also made a rookie mistake and tried to get here using Google maps. Don’t do it out-of-towners. This is actually located in the food court of the Seattle Center. Unfortunately that meant a farther walk than I had anticipated. Now with that settled, let’s get to the review. I ordered the chili cheese fries. The Good: — fresh fries — nice enough service — nice presentation The Bad: — Did you really just pull out the movie theater nacho sauce for my chili cheese fries? Say it isn’t so! [Clutches pearls]. — The chili may be house made, but it’s unimpressive. — green onion was a pretty garnish, but made it all taste even worse The whole time I ate I wondered if I should stop and get something else. I’m cheap though, so I ate a good amount before my taste buds revolted. I won’t be back.

My son has to get fries everywhere we go, and these were the best fries I’ve ever had anywhere. Perfect amount of crisp, not greasy, and a giant dose of great ranch, with a hint of dill. Yum!

Located inside the Armory of the Seattle Center I actually got garlic fries last year from this booth at Bumbershoot 2014. I was impressed with the fries and how cripsy they are, however, I noticed that they’re very skimpy on the toppings especially considering what you pay for them.

Feel short of my expectations. Loaded options don’e come with a choice of meat(expect a sprinkle of bacon or ground beef on the taco fries). The other flavors should have an option for protein like BBQ pork on the BBQ flavor or Thai chicken on the Samari flavor. Without a protein, this fries just can’t serve as a lunch option. My sweet potato fries were under cooked. This place might have potential, I liked the different sauce and seasoning options. I would recommend as an afternoon snack while at the Seattle Center, but not lunch.

So, they forgot to make our order. After 15 mins waiting for just a dog, we asked to find out the cook hadn’t received our ticket. Grr! So we waited another 7 mins to get our darn hot dog. It was overpriced and average. While waiting, we saw them break health code. Had a customer hand her half eaten cardboard tray over the counter/food, then he scooped some fresh fries into her dish, giving it back to her. That’s just unsanitary. Health codes should never be compromised. Regardless of the reason, make her a fresh tray, never take customer food in and out of the kitchen. The wait, the poor quality and the sanitation concern leave me to a one star review. Sorry, I wanted to like them.

The closest I’ve gotten to Dutch«frites met» on this side of the Atlantic! Wish were weren’t just visiting Seattle. Being a traditionalist, all I wanted was a cone of fries with mayo. Hubby ordered a sampler of sauces, and I have to say, I sampled along with him! All were great.

Damn good friiies… so good I went twice while on vacation to Seattle. My girlfriend and I split the Mexi Madness and Sriracha Samurai Sword our first visit… good lord, delicious. The Sriracha Samurai Sword basically tastes like pad thai with sweet potato fries in place of noodles and is pretty easily the best«loaded» fries I’ve had. The Mexi Madness fries were good, but were made a lot better when we shaked some of the Baja seasoning on them. Next visit we got the BBQ Throwdown fries, and they weren’t anywhere near as good as the other two. I don’t know what it was, maybe the BBQ sauce, but it was too salty. Despite that, they were still easily worth the price. A last note… Cool Guys claims they have«fresh» lemonade, but it tastes like it’s possibly just fresh from a jug. It’s still refreshing, but it doesn’t really taste like fresh lemonade normally does. In any event, this is definitely one of the better food options at The Armory. If you don’t consider fries a meal, they also have a number of hot dogs on the menu — I didn’t try any of them, but if they’re even half as good as the fries, they’re worth having.

The first time I saw this place, I was like, Oh snap, Tori Spelling is going to freak when she realizes the idea she had on that reality show like 10 years ago happened and someone else did it. But then I tasted the barbecue sauce, and now I dare Tori Spelling not to like it. A+ for easy, convenient, and a little bit fun. Kind of on the pricey side, but with a location in Seattle Center’s auspicious Armory food court, this is not surprising(and the rent is probably sky high.) The fries come in two varieties – sweet or normal potato. The sauces range from Asian style sweet sriracha to the classic chili cheese and everything in between. Really, unless you just hate fries, I can’t imagine you won’t be able to find something you find appealing. Personally, I go for the barbecue sauce, which is spicy, smoky, savory, warm, and I kid you not when I say it’s better than 99% of the sauce I tasted growing up in Memphis. The one downfall of Cool Guys(besides the fact that it’s called Cool Guys – super creative, huh?) is that their fries, while cooked perfectly and seasoned well, come in paper cones which aren’t super conducive to carrying them around Seattle Center while still getting your dip on. That said, ask for a little paper bowl and they will give you one, so you’re pretty much covered.

Frites on Capitol Hill may be gone; but Cool Guys takes it’s much missed place. The fries were crispy and didn’t have that WD40 taste on so many other fries at even the so called Gormay(yes, I know it’s spelled Gourmet; but, some of the pompous places need to be taken down a peg and leave off the cheap truffle oil) restaurants. The tartar sauce was tangy, smooth and the perfect match for the delicious strips of Northwest potatotude. Our wedding anniversary is coming up and my husband asked where I’d like to go for dinner, sky’s the limit. I said, «Cool Guys» without even pausing to think. Dutch Mayo, next time. I know I’m a cheap date(allergic to chocolate, flowers and I don’t like jewelry) with good taste.

Small fry is a nice size for the price. It comes overflowing in a paper cone. Fries were a nice size and texture but too salty for me. I’m used to low salt but can usually handle salted fries but these were over my salt level of tolerance. I like how they have cone holders to place your order when it’s ready and by the condiments so you can get what you need without dropping your fries. I saw they had a loaded fry option that was marked vegan but it had a honey sauce on it so I didn’t get it. I didn’t ask if it was a honey alternative.
