Dr. Cassius is an amazing doctor, care provider and person. Besides providing me complete relief from long-term chronic pain that was primarily related to sports injuries and chronic overuse of specific muscles(primarily work/computer related), Dr. Cassius is the proverbial last of a dying breed of caregivers that go way beyond the corporate model of health care. He takes a lot of time to understand who you are, what is going on in your life and how that relates to your current health.

Dr. Cassius makes other providers seemed rushed and incomplete. He reviews your entire history, not skipping the«small» stuff and makes sure he has the entire story before proceeding. His recommendations for treatment of chronic hip/lower back pain were comprehesive and balanced between traditional PT and overall health recommendations. For some reason, the receptionist warns you that«Dr. Cassius does a lot of treatments with injections», which sounds sort of scary. It’s not scay, as he’s not a big fan of steroid injections, and instead uses localized pain medicine to give you some relief. Don’t be put off! The cost for him being so commited to getting it right is that you might as well show up an hour late to your appt(just kidding! don’t do that!), since he’ll be absorbed in the previous patient. Just plan accordingly, it’s worth it.

Dr. Cassius is my favorite doctor of all time. You have to wait a long time to see him, but once you get in he spends as much time as he needs with you. I don’t mind waiting, because I know that when I see him he is going to do whatever is in his power to help me feel better. I have never had a doctor who actually thoroughly reviewed my entire medical history and looked at my body as a whole vs just reviewing the current presenting symptoms. Cassius was a pivotal turning point in my life. He investigated into other areas and referred me to other physicians that were able to identify issues no one had before. I walked into him with a bad back and found out much more was wrong than just a back problem. So we fixed all those other things and my back finally started to heal. I used to go to Cassius regularly and now I haven’t seen him for a year. That’s a testament to my improved health. I miss going to see him though because he is very friendly and smart as well as a capable doctor. I also really liked that he was open to Naturopathic options and encouraged me seeing a naturopathic doctor.
