Shad is very good with his tools and knows a lot about almost everything. I would recommend his services to everyone who needs fixing and upgrading help in their homes.

We ignored the bad review and hired Shad because he WAS a friend of mine. Naturally we were on his side and think that the other review was being not fair. BIG mistake. Don’t want to bore you with all the problems we ran into him, just a couple of examples here: 1. He has an answer to everything, he even made us feel bad for asking the job be done correctly. We were not going to fire him but he basically quit himself by lying to me that he will come in and finish the job. All he wants was the check for $ 290. This lead to the second point below. 2. He did the tiles for our shower and we had to ask him to re-do some of the tiles because they are not flat. His response what that we want a 1⁄16 grout line and that is the reason the wall is not flat. We almost fell into it but then we realize regardless the grout size, a not flat wall is still not flat. We pointed it out and he started to attacking us by saying we are too perfection and the tiles are just a business card thickness out(which is not the case). We insisted that is not right and that’s when he lied to us saying he will come fix it as long as we leave him the check for $ 290. We were going to keep using him but he just pick up the check and his stuff and left. I was not going to write this review until we see his work side by side with the new contractor’s work. Now we are looking at the remaining two top rows of nice tiles installed by the other contractor and the crooked and uneven bottom rows he installed. If we have the time and the money, I will totally have all his work redone!

I really question the integrity of this contractor. I would not hire this person for any other job in the future and I regret hiring him for this job. He did about 85% of the work at a somewhat passable level, but not with the attention to detail that I value in a drywaller. He told me he was finished and that I would just have to put on some joint compound to finish it, but that’s what I hired the drywaller for to put up the sheetrock, tape, mud and sand it to a level where I can paint it — not to a level where I have to put on more joint compound. So I’m left having to complete a job this weekend when I thought I would simply just have to paint and be finished. There are rounded corners on wall, holes, screwtops not covered, and in my garage a gaping hole. When I noted the areas I wanted improved, he would not fix it, and demanded to be paid. In the past on our home remodel when I’ve done final walk-throughs with other contractors, plumbers, and electricians they remedied promptly any issues of concern. This was one of the smallest contracting jobs we’ve had done on our house and unfortunately the worst experience. He was so rude and smug at the end of the job. I felt threatened and I had to ask him to leave my property after paying him. Such a horrible experience.
