Right on alki. Tons of parking. Not too pricey. Amazing vegan options. Neat bar and lots of good drinks. Attentive staff. Almost cramped but it works. Totally my favorite Mexican joint right now.

Outside dining on alki. 3 stars for this. Food ok. Service means well. No process in place to help facilitate efficient service or through put. Witnessed countless episodes of confusion regarding outside seating.

Busy restaurant right on Alki beach. Love this place the environment is Sublime meets Mexican Streetfood with a great view of the Puget Sound and great service for such a busy place. The Chimichanga was outstanding with fresh guac and crem fresh. Yummmmm. Great place for beach food and a laidback chill vibe.

disappointing food, low quality drinks –tasted like the alcohol was watered down in the margarita. server was inattentive and rude. i have heard their other location at lake union is better… willing to give them a try.

Meh. The bar is great but food lacks some care — nothing special and quite frankly you would get a better meal at Chipotle, which isn’t saying much. The only good thing here is this bottle sauces– everything else? Meh I’ve been here at least 3 times and although the atmosphere is great would NOT recommend the eats. Which is too bad because if they could figure that out they would have a line out the door every night.

This place takes «hole in the wall place» to a whole new level! It might be a little hard riding cause it in a small little plaza, but not hidden.
The seating is limited but I promise it is so worth it!
Happy hour is everyday first 4−6p then 10-​midnight!
This means two times the fun!
Happy hour has a small menu but man does it pack a punch!
I had the tacos with rice and beans and did it remind me of Mexican food back home, which is San Diego CA. Most ppl know that real good Mexican food is from Cali so I know this speaks volume.
The tacos were great and I even snuck a bite of my boyfriend’s mini quesadilla which was equally as yummy!
The Cadillac margarita was delicious! You can never go wrong with tequila!
They have a really nice patio that is right across the street from alki beach so during summer the sunset while having dinner is a must!
One other thing I will leave you with is this team and yes team I say works so hard together! The staff knows the absolute meaning of teamwork! They were willing to help each other at such a fast pace! I hope to have them again every time we come in!

Food was amazing! Perfect for Sunday brunch. Our server was sweet and she made great recommendations! The atmosphere is perfect for Alki beach on a gloomy Seattle day or a beautiful sunny afternoon on the patio. Get the huevos rancheros. you will not be disappointed!

The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, that was the only good part of the dining experience. The food was bland, under seasoned, and lacked latin authenticity. I would come for a beer and chips. 2 things impossible to ruin. That’s it.

The Margarita blanca is delish. I had the chimichanga and was quite happy. Good service, good date place along the beach.

The staff is rude, and the manager was the most unprofessional person I have even encountered. Our food was auctioned off, they did not know what some of the food items were, and they even tossed a few plates on the table then walked away. This place also takes hypersensitivity to a new level as we were accused of making an inappropriate comment in a member of the staffs presence.
I can’t tell you how the food was, because our party of 8 persons walked off.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. Do not give this restaurant your business. Their staff and management are rude, disrespectful and hyper sensitive. Don’t waste your time.
I’ve never done a Unilocal review in my life, but I want to hep others avoid such a terrible environment.

We love that they offer vegetarian and vegan meat options.
The veggie steak on nachos is our favorite. And the veggie chicken in the enchiladas is also a great combo. While the chimichanga with veggie steak was good, I wish there were some veggies inside instead of just rice and steak.

We originally sat down upstairs outside on the patio of the restaurant above this one but choose to move down because of the drink selection.
I didn’t order any food this time only drinks with friends. Local Seattle beer is where its at.
Server was super cool and had plenty of knowledge of everything i had questions about.
Next time ill try the food!!!

I have been majorly slacking in the review department, whoops! So anyway, I visited El Chupacabra last weekend and I’ve gotta say it wasn’t my favorite. While the view of Alki is pretty nice, the food left much to be desired, the service was slow (my friend waited over and hour and 3 different visits by the waitress before he got his margarita), parking was a nightmare, and it was kind of dirty. I ordered a veggie burrito that had no flavor and just looked like a bunch of slop shoved into a tortilla and topped with hard, unripened avocados. One friend I was with got a torta with the same avocados and the bread was so hard she couldn’t eat it. Also kinda gross is the bottled hot sauce that they have sitting outside in the sun and ran and weather– they were all dirty and totally unappetizing. I think I would probably try other places around the beach before going back.

I’ve been here a few times and I’m still not entirely sure how I feel.
Service is slow but usually quite friendly. This is somewhere you go with your friends to socialize, people watch, and go where the wind takes you. If you’re on a time schedule you’re going to want to go elsewhere.
I like that they encourage customization and they have several vegetarian/​vegan options. I highly advise staying away from the mock steak. Mock steak is very unforgiving and the cook doesn’t quite seem know how to deal with it. The other mock meats I’ve had were cooked just fine. The food isn’t anything spectacular, but it’s good.
I always get a mango margarita yet I don’t always receive the same product. Sometimes they’re really awesome, perfectly made. Other times they’re completely watered down and disappointing.
I’ll give them another chance, but the inconsistency have me weary.

I have been here several times and the service has always been mediocre. The last time I went here was about a year ago. There were two other tables in the restaurant (so basically empty). We waited 45 minutes for two meals before asking the waitress who never came by where our food was. She blamed it on the kitchen and wandered off. 30 minutes later, I had to go over to the kitchen where she was talking to the chef and ask where our food was. She said they had lost the ticket and that they needed to get our order again. 15 minutes later we had our food.
When she dropped off the check she was so nice and made a lot of small talk. This was basically the only time we had seen her throughout the meal (other than when she brought us our shitty drinks). Since we had the feeling the only reason she was being nice was to save what was left of her tip, we were very upset. We asked for the manager. She said they weren’t there and walked off.
We have not been back there since and refuse to go when our friends suggest it as a possible place to eat (which happens all the time when we are in w. seattle.) Decent food but horrible, horrible service.
We will never eat here again and tell all of our friends the experience we had.

We came here for early lunch, we brought kids along. and the vibe was great, the food even better.
We had a nice waitress. People was seatting outside or outside, we choosed inside because is super hot out, the inside was a nice temperature.
Restroom was clean, but its one person at a time. Price was good too.
No parking, duh is Alki Beach, parking is ever available. Lol

2.5 stars, realistically.
Mediocre food. Kicked up to «decent» if you’ve been drinking.
Good prices especially during happy hour. Gluten free and vegan options.

Probably the only place I’ve been to that doesn’t allow well-​behaved dogs on their outdoor front patio. Kinda lame.

It was very busy on a sunny Friday evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating; actually I walked passed this place and went upstairs because I couldn’t figure out where the entrance is– which ended being an entirely different restaurant.
They have minimal bar seating. I had to wait a little for a table, but it wasn’t too bad. They serve Mexican food, which was reasonably priced and there are tons of meat and non-​meat options available– that’s a plus. I just went for drinks and ended up getting the best of both worlds with a mango jalapeño margarita; they have separate mango and jalapeño margs which I love and my server suggested a mixture of both. My friend had a fish torta, which looked like a Mexican banh mi (it came on a French bread baguette). I had a taste of the fish, I liked it. My friend however did not.
The service was great and friendly. My drink was amazing, the view is beautiful. Next time I’ll come hungry and try some of their food, just maybe not the torta.
