#2 Son wanted us to pick him up smoked salmon while in Seattle and we needed some more for«omiyage»(gifts for those back home). Pricey, but we figured the prices would be about the same anywhere in the area. Picked up two types of jerky and some small smoked salmon packs. Friendly folks working the store. Nice that all the products are locally made. My husband opened up one of the salmon jerky bags and I gotta say that the few pieces I managed to wrestle away from him were really good! Great gift items.

If you’re looking for a shop of interesting seattle gifts to take to friends — you will find it here. It’s definitely a store for more upscale items, interesting handcrafted art items — wine, jars of interesting dips & jellies, chocolate and more. I purchased very cool raku pottery fishes which i thought were reasonably priced.

God almighty, stay away from this store. Unfriendly service in a poorly-kept shop. Obviously a tourist trap, but an unpleasant tourist trap.

WARNING… WARNING…WARNING… This is a knick-knack store for tourists only! As the name states items found in this store come from LOCALS only, or at least companies based in Washington. Pricey, but hey, this stuff is made in the NW! Don’t look for silly t-shirts that say, «My parents went to Seattle and all they brought me back was this crappy t-shirt…» An off shoot from Ivar’s restaurants this store offers an outlet for local artisans and thankfully has Fran’s chocolate bars, which allows me to satisfy my craving…
