They took care of my suits at an affordable price. It took a few days, but I didn’t need my suits quickly turned around. They were quite friendly to me. On top of everything, they gave me a pet hair roller as a holiday gift(I needed it).

DONOTCOMEHERE! The prices here are ridiculously high compared to other neighborhood cleaners, but we use them anyway because of the convenient location, down the block from our apartment. Back in May, I picked up the dry cleaning from my front desk and realized Fancy Cleaners had given us SIXSHIRTSTHATWERENOTOURS, all high end names like Burberry, Lacoste, Zegna, etc… Aside from getting six shirts that were not ours, we were missing one Canali french cuff shirt — a shirt I had paid at least $ 300 for(before taxes and all). We brought back the shirts that were not ours and reported our one shirt missing. We were not allowed to file a claim but were told to come back in two weeks. After two weeks, I went in to file the claim but was told again — two more weeks. After several phone calls and visits, this continued. Mind you, we were still using them throughout this whole time period… and we’re very good customers. We’re now in September, four months after Fancy Cleaners lost our Canali shirt. The woman there STILL did not want me to file a claim — when I began to protest(I had been calm and understanding up until this point), she told me that Canali is a very expensive name and that my boyfriend has never brought in a Canali shirt to be cleaned! Wow, so now I’m being called a liar? I’m trying to file a claim for a shirt that the lady thinks I never had?! I responded, «what about this one?!» while I held up another Canali shirt that I needed cleaned(I was dropping off that Canali shirt with a few Hugo Boss shirts and some other high end ones from Nordstroms). I couldn’t believe how rude she was to suggest that I was lying about the missing shirt. After all, she had given me six shirts that were not mine, and I was now dropping off 6 other high end names that were mine, including Canali! It’s not like I was just trying to file a claim for money. After getting my heart racing and insulting and frustrating me to no end, she still refused to let me file a claim. She refused to give me any cash for the shirt. She told me she would give me a credit, but not even for the full cost of the shirt! She smugly told me, «you told me you bought this shirt for your boyfriend for Christmas, so it’s an old shirt that has been worn many times.» Tell me, who wears white french cuff shirts every day here in Seattle? No One! The shirt was only worn once. So after being an understanding, loyal customer and after being called a liar, I was offerred a credit for HALF of the cost of the shirt. Credit?! I’m never going back again and if you’re smart, you won’t either! She was not even apologetic! I will never forget her smug, rude smile.

I bought a skirt at Forever 21, only $ 22, a cute 50s-esque wool blend. I needed it hemmed so it wouldn’t hit mid-calf. I take it to Fancy because it’s near my home. In my experience, hemming a simple skirt only costs about $ 10-$ 12. They charged me an obscene $ 26. Cost more than the skirt! Might I add, this was not a rush order, it took 5 days. The work was not shoddy, it was well-done, but if I had a sewing machine I could do it myself. I won’t be visiting this place again for a pair of pants I just bought, because they might charge me $ 20 for each leg! Ridiculous prices, guys.

I’ve come here for dry cleaning as well as pant and dress alterations. I appreciate the attention to detail. Once when I brought in a stained dress, the employee at the counter marked the stain with a piece of tape to make sure it would not be overlooked. When I picked up the dress, the employee had me verify that the stain was gone. The staff at Fancy Cleaners are always very polite. Not all of them speak English extremely well so you may have to repeat yourself a few times, but they haven’t messed up my requests. My only complaint is that rates here seem to be a few dollars higher than other locations. For example, if you’re getting jeans altered, Nordstrom may be cheaper(free if you bought the jeans there and don’t opt to keep the original hem!)
