I am currently a tenant living at the frye apartments. Firstly its a year to 2 year waiting list to even fill out an application. After you fill out the literally 200pg essay application, you need to fullfill paperwork from ouside sources. finally once they retrieve this, its processed. It took 2yrs wait list plus a 2month wait to get my application approved. There is only one bedroom and studio bedrooms available, I have a 1 bedroom. Its about 350sqrft, but large enough to fit dressor, couch, bed, desk and bookshelf so im very comfortable. Its alot bigger then an a-podment in seattle! Pros & amenities: Free laundry with new appliances Free single meal at 3pm m-f Free utilities Assigned case manager Maintenance requests are filled very fast No carpet Large windows Elevators No pet dep Free heat! Cement walls-very structurally sound Free microwave and tv downstairs Free computer use in the main lobby Cons: –Cockroaches, I only seen literally 2 when i moved in but although they are very small, they reside in the walls because its a wicked old building. Ive put down diatomaceous earth and I havent seen any in weeks. Also they have a professional bug cleaning service m-f so its not really a problem. Also not every apt has them but if yur clean you will be fine. –small bathroom shower, its a single standing station which is barely big enough to bend over, but is commen with older apts so im ok with it. –no counter space in the kitchen-again old building So all in all I love this place! Its amenities outway the cons by a killer slide. It does take alot of paperwork and hard work to get in but its totally worth it. Also I would love to thank the front desk for always being kind and knowledgeable and lastly thank Monae my first contact for the building for getting me in here and being so kind to me, I really appreciate it.
